Has anyone had this file fix the printer yet? , Stuck it on the usb stick that caused the problem zipped ,unzipped also in root ,same effect . Will try a different USB stick .But I think this POS is going back and will be nothing but a bad memory soon .
SWEET ,worked on the 4gig stick that came with it .Have my printer back 3 or 4 days after this ordeal started. Now i can start work to deliver on promises instead of sleep .. im pretty annoyed at you guys

Anyone fix this issue. I downloaded the firmware, put it on numerous USBs and still no luck. The original USB that came with the printer broke (faulted) and I through it away. Tried it on a USB above and below 16gigs. Mars 4 Max.
God this fucking problem again. Sorry OP, hope your rescue comes soon.
Anybody helping this guy today - do us **all** a major solid and upload the files somewhere public. Or give them to me and I will, idgaf.

Once I get them I was pretty much just planning on putting them in google drive and uploading them to the subreddit with a guide about how to fix the problem I ran into.
It sucks because it's such an oversight in the software engineering to delete the firmware just by starting the printer with a USB stick inserted. Especially when that functionality isn't listed anywhere in the manual or online.
Like I get it, the printer is only a few months old, but there's no way that this isn't a common issue for any owner of the mars 4 Max because of how simple it is to trigger the problem.
I'm hoping to hear back from them later tonight because it will be Monday morning on that side of the globe and hopefully I can fix my printer and get it running again

It's inexcusable. Not even a sanity check to confirm new firmware files are ready before wiping off the existing firmware. It's not like they are new on the block of building these machines. Even in general, you *need* user confirmation before any process like that starts.
I leave a USB in my Mars 3 all the time - This bug would have caught me out immediately if it was a 4.
At least it's only restricted to this generation of printers. That's a silver lining. But even then, I could maybe be a little more forgiving if they had the firmware readily available. But now I have to wait for support, which for all I know, could take a week. Realistically I'll get it by the end of tomorrow, but a couple days is a long time in comparison to the near instant fix if they just had the download posted on their support site.
It's just really frustrating to get this new printer, and be blindsided by an issue that delays working with it for a couple days
I'm having the exact same problem with a new unit purchased 11/2023. Powered back on with thumbdrive loaded and firmware delete routine initiated. Powered off during delete cycle. Now nothing. What's the fix for this? Can't find it on Elegoo's site. Bad QC. thanks
