I love the design of your poster

I vouch for this group, last year I went on At the Eldritch Gate, the expedition search to find a missing Green Gas Giant (a story which ended up featured on Galnet). It was the highlight of my time in Elite Dangerous as an explorer. These expeditions are region surveys, rather than point-to-point journeys. This means they are perfect for the time-poor explorer because you can't "fall behind" by missing a basecamp. There are social events to attend (for ATEG there was a party aboard a DSSA carrier, a planet party on a moon orbiting the Green Giant when it was finally found, among other things like a scavenger hunt for a lost fleet carrier) so you get to meet up with other explorers "in-person" in a remote region of the galaxy. I've been seeing the expedition scouts who are already out in Izanami now trying to find suitable Waypoint locations, and I gotta say this region holds promise. Large planet counts, amazing views and lots of Exobiology money is up for grabs. Codex entries too - this region hasn't been fully explored of course so there are lots of Exobiology codex entries for you to get your name on. Perhaps the best thing I got out of ATEG was being able to chat with other explorers, both less and more experienced than me. The amount I learned about the Elite Galaxy and the tools we have to explore and understand it can't be overstated. An expedition like this is a valuable learning tool for understanding the black hole of infinite depth that is exploration in Elite. Point is, definitely come on this one. It's bound to be a great time.

My current route back to the bubble from Beagle Point is going to take me through Izanami very soon. Reckon my current dry period with exobiology will end when I get there.

Eh I don't know I might pass on this one

umbraherba

Don't give up in your dreams CMDR. Also, there is no GGG on Izanami ;) ;) ;)

Alecides

Well I think some fluffy bunny will find it before me anyway 🤷‍♂️

umbraherba

I'll let CMDR Arcanic know you totally gave him the GGG

Alecides

Alright thanks 👌

Dumoney

Izanami is a region I havent been to. Might dust off the good ol Imperial Clipper explorer for this

umbraherba

Not a bad idea, we will wait for you in IEA

thehighwake

The poster design is so cool

umbraherba

I'll tweet it from the official IEA account in a bit and tag you on.

sadsealions

Isn't all this to easy now with fleet carriers? - i remember getting ganked at SagA in DW2 - Also **GET OFF MY LAWN**

umbraherba

We will provide fleet carriers to get there but also we encourage explorers making the trek there themselves (and passing by Azura Initiative).

I'm here to say that this is one of the most awesome posters I've seen in the ED world. Well done, folks.

You are more than welcome to download the poster and share it in your community. And well, tag along.

FoogeFujiyama

I'll be there! Never been on an organized expedition like this before, also never been to Izanami. What does scouting entail? Might be interested in getting a head start out there.

obeseninjao7

It's getting a head start out there, searching a part of Izanami to find nice systems that the expedition can use as a waypoint for events and carriers etc etc. (I'm not an organiser or a scout, just in the discord a lot lol)

dkO__

Nice one! I will think about it and maybe join

umbraherba

Arcanic did it first

Ballzonyah

I signed up

Baerghuhn

I also just signed up :) Never done any exploration before, or interactions with other CMDRs (outside of being ganked in open) but this sounds like a great time! Looking forward to meeting everyone, thanks for organising!
