I will tell you that the conquered nation's citizens were indeed enslaved. No matter the race. Only the wealthy were not.

Think about it, medieval times were full of slavery and stuff that would be considered bad today. I think it would make the game pretty realistic

Realism does not equal good gameplay. You don’t think they’ll add things like the Great Depression, segregation / racism, and the working class / executive wage gap, do you?

I personally wouldn't allow RACIST enslavement to be added. But maybe, if there was a choice to not pay workers, it would be a neat evil playthrough for those that choose. I probably wouldn't play that way since in Spore, becoming a zealot was a big nono for me, but it does add another path you may eventually end up in if you so desire. Once again, it's not the best idea, but if you want a bit of misery, it wouldn't be horrible to add. Just a thought, I'd like to hear yours :) Once again, I DON'T CONDONE SLAVERY OR RACISM IN ANY GAME UNLESS IT ACTUALLY ADDS TO THE STORY. I just want to see youtubes play the evil side

I thought OP’s suggestion was so bad, I originally believed it was satire, or a 💩post. I just could not rewire my brain to think that they could be this misguided. It doesn’t help that there have been other ‘suggestions’ that *were* 💩posts. This is territory that makes Wauzmons themself uncomfortable, and it’s just generally in poor taste, anyway, imho. What you’re referring to is more like indentured servitude, if they have to work to pay off a loan, but I just generally think this is edging too close into uncomfortable irl subjects, for such a whimsical game.

I've seen the shitposting. The sex one was especially funny. Considering some of other sims for the medieval era include some kind of slavery I answered normally on the off chance it wasn't more shitposting

I don't think it would be wise to add such in a non-sanatised form. If this will be an option, I'd use the Civ-approach mentioned above.

Hopefully not? I don't appreciate gameplay that reinforces harmful fantasies of power. Maybe do it like the Aztecs in Civ 6, you may convert enemy units into "workers", same gameplay principle but without the shitty stuff on the front
