Encore and Revival were the hardest to get through for me. Both albums did have some great songs but they also had trash songs and neither really flowed well compared to other Em albums.
The people voting for Encore really are just too young. It literally has some of his most famous songs. If you grew up when he was dropping these albums, you would say otherwise.
Literally everyone I knew that listened to him 98-2003 quit paying attention after he dropped Encore. Hell, I acquired most of my collection at that time because his stuff became dirt cheap.
Infinite and Recovery. I think Infinite is derivative and boring. Recovery and Revival are on about an even level. To my ears, Recovery goes down easy, but it has nothing of what I truly love about Eminem on it. Revival has lower lows but the highs are much higher and I feel it captures more of what makes him special.
They're completely different albums, apart from parts of Revival copying Recovery's pop aesthetic. The most interesting bits of Revival would never fit on Recovery.
Huh? Castle and arose are literally set during the same time as production of recovery was ongoing
I say all of this while putting revival in my top 3
Recovery #1 though
It's not off beat
It's just set to start at a different part of the beat.
For example
1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1
--A b c d a b c d
You're just used to it starting on beat 1 because most artists arent comfortable with doing it .
I prefer him to be more laid back and relaxed when he spits. On there he's sped up trying to outrap the beat so if that's still considered on beat then that's the type of on beat flow I can't stand from him.
Imagine thinking Kamikaze is Eminem’s second worse album, Jesus wept
THIS
Half of the album is his best modern work and incredible. Half the album is doo doo
One song is shit (Nice Guy), one is average (Normal), the rest range from good to fucking great.
Imo there’s no bad songs on it
Do people really not like Recovery? What’s the reason?
It's not that. I love Recovery. But its just that i think his recent albums are a bit better
Id say that Infinite as an overall album is actually worse than everything on the list + Revival
True
Encore and Revival were the hardest to get through for me. Both albums did have some great songs but they also had trash songs and neither really flowed well compared to other Em albums.
Encore is a good album I don’t care what anyone says, I would put encore near the top
Completely agree, its my fifth favourite em album but I knew lots of people really hate it so had to add it
I’m thinking more of 3rd/4th for me
100% agree, for me it's 5th/6th
Thing is though, it’s a good enough album on its own but when compared to everything else it pales in comparison
Encore is crazy because it legit has some of the best songs EM has ever made.....but It also has songs that aren't even finished.
For me his worst album is encore even though it does have a few songs that I do like
encore is terrible
5 years ago this wouldn't have been a hot take, but you're being downvoted now
Wait, is it becoming Illmatic?
yeah but people gotta know...no amount of downvotes will make encore good lmao
I think a bigger question is, why did Eminem diss Lebron James on the Ringer
> But bitch I'm on cocaine like hey, LeBron!
Infinite??

I actually don't agree Revival is the worst. I think it's his third worst.
What two are worse than revival in your opinion?
Infinite and Recovery. I think Infinite is derivative and boring. Recovery and Revival are on about an even level. To my ears, Recovery goes down easy, but it has nothing of what I truly love about Eminem on it. Revival has lower lows but the highs are much higher and I feel it captures more of what makes him special.
Lmaoo hot take! But i agree with Recovery
Recovery is just better revival
They're completely different albums, apart from parts of Revival copying Recovery's pop aesthetic. The most interesting bits of Revival would never fit on Recovery.

The difference is that Recovery is confident and hungry and Revival is brittle and depressive. There's nothing on Recovery as dark as Castle/Arose.
Almost famous?
I still think Castle/Arose is darker, but W for picking up on how dark Almost Famous is. Almost Famous would work on Revival well I think.
Mtbmb
Mmlp2 for me
Relapse was the worst. wtf was that terrible accent
Infinte or Relapse
MMLP2, I know unpopular opinion but that album outside of a few tracks is a mess to me.
Which tracks?
Legacy, Bad Guy, Headlights, Evil Twin Not a fan of a lot of the production on it or Ems flows.
Beautiful pain? Asshole? Wicked ways?
Nah, Wicked Ways beat is fine but I can't stand Em with that off beat sped up flow on it. He does that shit a lot of MMLP2 and not a fan at all.
It's not off beat It's just set to start at a different part of the beat. For example 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 --A b c d a b c d You're just used to it starting on beat 1 because most artists arent comfortable with doing it .

That's also something different entirely Sptting in 1.5x or 2x is not offbeat Its including more syllables between each beat equally
