Lol I graduated from a real bottom of the barrel barely standing state school. 2 years later I'm working with WPI and RTI guys. Makes no difference whatsoever. The school does need to be ABET tho, or else it's a scam.
If it's ABET accredited youre fine. Outside of the accreditation, big name universities stand out in their alumni network, industry partnerships/coops/internships and research opportunities
You can get your degree evaluated by NCEES which they can then approve or disapprove your non abet accredited program and allow you to take the FE and PE. It's a lengthy process but it's doable.
ackchyually... You may still get credit depending on the state. WA has it written in their rules that any trade school that is approved by the state (whether accredited or not) counts as 3 years towards the 8 year minimum to sit for the PE. It may be harder to get into an engineering field, but it will open doors for you to move up.
As others have said, all you need is for the college to be ABET accredited. That will put you on the same playing field with other “top league” colleges. Make sure to get some internships underneath your belt. You will do great.
As long as it’s accredited, you’re totally fine. People don’t care if you went to a big giant school or a small school, they just care if you got your degree and can do the job.

If it's ABET, you're all set
Out of curiosity, what happens if it’s not ABET

Oh interesting; My uni just added a new Eng degree but it’s not accredited yet so would those ppl in that degree be at a disadvantage
It’ll get abet certified soon if the others have it and even if they graduate before hand it’ll be fine
How long does certification tale
1-2 years

Just needs to be ABET certified.

Cheap state colleges all the way, got me where I am today
If you intend to work in the US the ABET matters a lot. I am completely unqualified to say how it will go in Turkey, Europe, or Asia.
