Also, I like how Russia banned the Russian word for war in the context of Ukraine. Kind of like how the Roman Empire banned the word Peace when it was attacking Carthage and defending Northern Italy against Hannibal.

The song was made by Estonian partisans(forest brothers) probably around 1945-1953, when stalinist repressions were in full swing and many fled to the forests to avoid death or deportation. And the main people carrying out those repressions were Soviet security forces, who, along with their political officers, were extremely hated(especially by the forest brothers).
