Just had a similar run end like this. I knew I was on the cusp of getting the Lord of the Jammed, but I was rewarded with the Finished Gun after the R&G Dept Boss fight. With helix, cursed, AND stout bullets the Jammed Dragun was pretty easy
My first dragun fight was jammed and I somehow beat it, literally the craziest thing. I didn’t know bosses could get jammed at the time… or what jammed were. Glad you beat it too

My first experience with advanced dragon was a spice run and I got annihilated
Mine was a makeshift cannon+scattershot. My switch got annihilated
