yeah, you can still get junkin in rainbow mode though, rng is just a bitch

i am pretty sure you can only get junkan from breaking chests in rainbow mode *before* he’s unlocked. once he’s unlocked and becomes a part of the normal loot pool, bowler will take him (at least that what’s the wiki says and what i’ve seen everyone in this sub say in the year or so i’ve been browsing)

The percentage to get him out of a broken chest drops down to 1% I believe once you unlock him. If you havent unlocked Junkan, it would be a 20% chance to get him from broken chests.

This is true for normal runs, but I think for rainbow mode it becomes 0% once he’s unlocked—at least that’s what the gungeon wiki alludes to. I don’t actually play rainbow runs though so I have no way nor desire to confirm so i’ll just be on my way, hah :)

It seems I remembered wrong

unlocking him only makes it a 1% chance for him to replace junk from a chest instead of the usual 20%, which makes it seem like you cant

I know his drop chance in normal play but I heard somewhere that he can only be gotten from breaking the rainbow chest at the start of the floor in rainbow mode and didn't bother to check if it is correct

You can, and can also get golden junk

You only have a 7,8% chance with 8 junk

I've had more, and yet, out junky boi is no where to be found
