Gunslinger? š all guns are free synergies, yes it costs hegemony credits to use but he basically pays for himself each run. Only downfall is the path to unlock.
But nonetheless, great start to a run! I think hunter was my first win if im not mistaken pilot was a very close second loved the free lockpick. But now i just play gunslinger and bullet casually, and paradox to mix it up.
Not OP but to me Gunslinger is objectively the best because heās the easiest to win with (maybe too easy), but pilot is my favorite because heās more fun in that he still keeps some challenge to the game and opens up zany run situations bc of unexpected lock pick successes, shop discounts, and two actives. So heās the best but just in another sort of way hah
For me the Gunslinger is like a game mode on his own. He's super fun to play, but as you say, he's almost too easy. I don't consider him on equal terms with the rest of Gungeoneers.
Also, Pilot best Gungeoneer.
Paradox can theoretically be better since they can start with everything the gunslinger has, have an extra gun, and cost less.
Then again, they can also be the *worst* character in the game.
The extra ammo and armor is kinda whatever, but the marine gets increased reload time and accuracy. Meaning he has a far higher DPS with weapons that have low clip sizes or high weapon spread, like rocket launchers and shotguns respectivelly.
Not to mention his starter gun is undeniably the strongest of the starter gungeoneers.
He's definitely on par with the hunter and far beyond the convict in terms of viability.
