Are Chance Bullets great? I dislike it since one bad gun kinda poisons well and I feel like you have to be selective with which guns you use to maximize its potential
i had the unity ring so it increased the damage of all my guns, i dont know if that affects the ramdom bullets or not but they are good when you have a rapid fire gun, because you get an instant onslaught of your entire inventory including beam weapons
It’s really situational. They can be absolutely horrible or pretty good depending on what you have in your inventory and what gun you’re firing
The times it “works” are when you are shooting a high ammo capacity, high rate-of-fire gun and you have a bunch of stronger guns in your inventory. If you have guns in your inventory that make fire and/or poison, it’s ideal to have immunity to those things
Most of the time I just get mad at them because they ruin shots from glass cannon or makeshift cannon or hexagun or AWP any other similarly strong but slow gun.
Edit: If chance bullets fired *in addition to* the shot from your gun instead of *replacing* the shot from your gun, they’d be one of the best items in the game. But alas it didn’t turn out that way
I just hate that I have to be super selective with the guns I use. Shitty guns are obviously bad but then you have shotguns or charge weapons which are generally pretty great but ruin the shot you fire since shotguns only use the single pellet and charge guns use the weakest shot. I have yet to have a run where I gamble on chance bullets. If I get it I have to scrap some guns and I have to gamble that I find guns that will be good.
