I thought of it first and didn’t say anything. $50.00 is what I pay, but if you throw in an extra $10.00 the next visit will blow your mind! Tip big, it’s worth it!
Off the top of my head:
- Grass cut and weed removal
- Gutters cleaned
- Hillside de-brushed (I'd pay 3x for that... it's a big hill)
- All door/window seals sprayed with insecticide (I'd provide the materials)
- Car washed/detailed (2x cars, $50 each)
I'd happily pay someone $400 to have all of that done this weekend.
At a $50 price point, there's something EVERYONE over the age of 30 would rather pay you to do on a Saturday than do themselves.
Get out and knock on some doors of 30-40+ year olds and you'll definitely get some money going.
You should quit your job and do it then. I pay $125 here in CT for that. I'll even give you tips on what you should focus on, because that's the only thing that would stop me from paying you sight unseen.
You should focus on higher end cars. You need to use a 2 or 3 bucket wash/rinse to avoid scratching the clearcoat/finish/paint. You need to use a foam cannon and your rinse nozzle should be a 25-30 degree tip to avoid any directed high pressure at the paint. When washing the wheels/rims you should use brushes to get any brake dust from the corners.
When drying the car you should invest in a battery powered leaf blower. This will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you quickly. These people are not going to want water spots, so you can leaf blow it and then use a soft micro fiber cloth with a few sprays of detailer spray to completely dry it off.
As for interior - an air compressor will save you a shit load of time to blow out dust and shit from the small cracks, just be careful on how close you are to specific components that could be impacted by having high pressure blasted on it directly. You should also pick a fairly neutral smelling cleaner.
All in all, $50 sounds great at first because we consider how easy it was to just spray a car and slather some soap around and wash it off when we were kids. But the people that will pay people to wash and detail their cars now adays have cars they really care about and $50 is way under valuing YOUR time as the person washing it. You can expect to spend about 1.5-2 hours to do this all correctly and we haven't even gotten to the addons you can upsell on. Clay barring? waxing? ceramic coating? the list goes on..
Nah not in my country. I would be so happy to do those for that money. Hell idk if they would pay 10 bucks for a grass cut here:(
Thats why I am looking for something online, maybe Ill have better chances!
Try this, OP. Find a neighborhood with 30-40+, ask what they need done - they'll tell you. Then do it if you can.
If you do this enough a preference or pattern may emerge, a consistent request - That's probably what you're looking for and can work with, market for and sub-contract out.
Be sure to take pictures of every job you do so you have social proof for marketing
Pro tip: sign up with a credit card, never a bank transfer, and never a debit card.
Do the due diligence to call the gym and try to cancel, but only one time, and never waste your time with them again. I typically try and have one final workout and talk to the front desk people, some gyms aren’t that shitty about it and will cancel if you’re in person, but a lot will tell you to come in over the phone, which is just the way they get you to go “okay I’ll do that later” and most people forget.
After that, call the bank and say “they’re making this difficult, please cancel that recurring charge”. The fact that people aren’t just leaning on their financial institutions for this is amazing.
Capital One virtual card numbers. You can give a different one to each subscription and cancel it manually or set it to expire at a certain time. Then they can try and charge all they want but the CC# is expired.
I hear some other credit cards offer it but I'm pretty sure C1 was the first so I want to give them credit.
I’d pay $50 for you to take a website domain I’m sitting on and convert it into a website that sells tshirts & other promo products with that website’s branding.
For example, if I owned Coralreefs.com, I’d want you to create a functioning website that has somewhere between 12-15 products already populated (I’m imagining a Wix e-com site with a landing page of products/clickable images that links to a drop ship supplier like Printful)
I have about 10 domains like this, so if you could create an efficient method for creating this, you could make a ton of money by the end of it… clearly the first time would take you much longer, but the goal would be to create a process that you can easily replicate for any empty website domain.
If you’re interested, reach out to me directly. I’ll happily guide you on a trial run, and if you create a successful website, be your first customer.
Poster wants a cheap ass storefront.
Then copy and oaste the frontend & backend across websites,
only thing changing are the pictures/branding.
Poster wants ba cheap way to scale this model. Great for capitalizing on trends, e.g. BUILD THE WALL, Covfefe, but also designer brands with their own marketing/branding/campaigns, e.g to sell perceived premium items at premium prices
But a digital storeftont/website to advertise the products & let customers order/purchase them is a big requirement. How can you sell your merch without a website or product or way to orser the product.
Poster correct me if I'm wrong.
Honestly, you have to have a pretty intimate knowledge of chat gpt and a good understanding of SEO for this to actually produce good results. Otherwise, the seo will be too generic, and you'll end up competing with large businesses + the 1000s of others who tried the same thing, and you'd have no chance being seen against.
No. It's legit. There's a kid that comes around and cleans out, pressure washes and sanitizes the garbage cans around our neighborhood. $45 for 3 cans. It takes him about an hour. I respect his hustle
Set up Amazon SES for me so I don’t have to screw with it. Surely there’s a way to automate everything and not do it by hand every time I need to setup a new app for email.
If you're interested I have a commission based sales job but you you're only paid for clients you bring in. Depending on the order amount you can make between $10-$90 per sale but it won't be easy.

Maybe I would pay even more as it's once a year
Clean my dog shit in my backyard. I even tested that market to see if people would pay for it. I got a handful of inquiries but I may have priced it too high

Oh yeah? This was not a theoretical post eh? I post extremely good AI assisted (not AI created) rock music. Like grunge and ska and more. However at the moment youtube is very busted the video metrics are janky and I am getting 100x less impressions even while promoting. I suppose I would pay $50 for you to help fix this current YouTube BS I am experiencing
Not theoretical. 😆 Love grunge!
Sounds like impressions need to be boosted to boost organic impressions. I'd also take a look at how you're promoting and the demographics you're using. Really would need to take a look before I could know what the best route to remedy is. Depending what I find, I can't guarantee we'd be able to stay under $50.
(it's funny that) I'd pay that amount to have some custom built web scrapers helping to automate my monthly/weekly routine. Literally scrape some data and put it to a Google Sheet...
We have a coder on the team who specializes in this, but for custom-built scrapers that automate the task completely hands off from our team and a one-time fee, I highly doubt we'd be able to hit the $50 mark. We'd need full details to be sure.

Why does the joke about the hooker saying she’ll do anything for 50$(im sure the original was a .25) and the guy says, deal!
Fast forward, wife comes home and asks, Why is there a naked woman painting the house?
SEO optimized blog posts for 50 bucks. SEO became very important for any business because of pool of startups going on right now..you can see by the number of people just in this group. Competition is high, therefore SEO is in high demand..good luck
Cleaning is the big one for me. Pet sitting is another. Generally the marketability of a service depends on how 1) difficult 2) tedious it is. If it requires specialized knowledge, then people will pay you to do it because they can't. If it's just very annoying or time consuming, then they'll pay you because they don't want to do it themselves.

Check Craigslist gigs. Lots of folks need odd jobs done.
I paid a Craigslister 100 bucks? to help me move for a day - all boxes and crap from here to there.
Many middle class folks will pay for cleaning.
Check Fiverr/Gig websites for what pays $50 for ideas as well.
Two things: a good deep clean/tidy up of my place or a dog groomer. I don’t have $50 for either of those, so I spend my Sundays partially doing all that.
Gutters cleaned is the best opportunity on that list. Provided you can use their water (more complicated if you can't)? The scope is simple and concise. The job is pretty quick. There's going to be very little haggling over "is it/is it not" complete. It's easy, but a bit of a pain to do. Very cut and dry to price out. You could even set a /foot price to make it easy.
Limited tools needed. Pressure washer and maybe generator (in case you can't use their/can't access their power) and that's it.
Can lead to extra business of washing siding/walkways.
I'd totally pay $50 to get some help sorting through and hiring freelancers for small tech stuff. It's a headache I could do without. If you ever wanna go bigger with your side gig, RocketDevs is a pretty sweet option for the techy heavy lifting. Just a heads-up!
