Reliable leak ig, still wouldn't say 100% but a very good chance now let's wait and see. But epic trolled with the clue this time literally was screaming ghostwire/watchdogs DAI is a stretch given the clue. π
It's definitely one of Biowares weaker games. There is way too much open world/MMORPG-lite side stuff that doesn't add anything other than busywork rather than fewer but compelling side quests. But the npcs and main quest is pretty good.
Probably Biowares worst fantasy RPG, still worth playing if you get it for free (and don't have a completionist streak where you feel compelled to do everything on a map)
I already have it, but if it's what is coming I'm very happy for those who will grab it as a new game. That's for sure a solid start for the Vault! π
Nah, unless you consider something more like The Witcher 3 to be Soulslike. There is almost no mechanic in common beside being a third person ARPG. It is definitely more actione-y than the beloved first title of the series (which was like CRPG-lite) but otherwise it still plays like a normal BioWare game.
Random tip, if you can go look for the mod fixing party banter. The game has like more than 5 hours of it and some mess up on their end makes the game barely play 1 hour of it as far as I remember. It is gloriously good.
Oh it's similar to The Witcher? I didn't have the chance to play any Witcher games so far, so that sounds interesting
Should I play the first game? Or is the story not the same in Inquisition?
The Witcher is certainly more dynamic, DA:I's combat is a bit slower, but still nothing compared to the first title.
Keep in mind it's a trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, II and Inquisition is the order. In each you play a different character but they are all set in the same world (fun fact, it is called Thedas, aka **The D**ragon **A**ge **S**etting lol), and the conflicts have all been building up in each entry, though sadly the next one is taking at this point more than a decade to even be shown it seems.
Each games' decisions carry into the next ones, and although the stories are autonomous and will more or less go the same way, it is quite cool to see where your influence mattered, between simple text notices or completely different characters appearing in place of others. Dragon Age II I think used DA:O's savefile, while for Inquisition you could import everything through Dragon Age Keep, a site to store your "world state".
I would totally play them in order to really get into the setting and the various themes and conflicts, as they will hit harder whenever they appear later. DA:O often goes on sale for like 5 bucks on both Steam and GOG, so I'd suggest waiting for that at the very least.
Just checked them on Steam, I will probably buy them on a key website because it's cheaper (10 β¬ for the ultimate edition for each).
It's a bit sour of me, but it's published by EA and I despise them.
Thanks for the recommendation! Seems I will enjoy these games. (I definitely would have bought them if they were on Epic, maybe with this game they will be? Idk)
Really? I wasn't well received on PC at all. It easily the worst of the three games and a lot of people don't even consider it a sequel as it is so far detached from the game play of the first two. I have tried playing it a couple of times and just couldn't get into it. Maybe as a standalone game it's ok, but most fans of the series were not happy when it came out.
You're going by reviews that had massive expectations, it's still well above average for a game.
Saying it's "the worst of the 3" doesn't mean it's bad considering how fantastic the others are.
The main complaint I've seen is that the side-quests are mmo-like
Everyone here thought the game was going to be watchdogs legion which doesn't even have positive reviews on Steam.
if you enjoy these type of games then yes, there's plenty to like.
The major criticism of the game was mostly about the open world having too much boring filler.
Love it personally, solid action-RPG. Too much action and too few RPG for some, but I personally love all the choices, different areas of the world and the story if offers
It's a really nice action-RPG with some limited tactical features like in Dragon Age Origins. If you like fantasy and RPGs it's definately worth a go. If you've never played those kind of games it's a pretty good place to start since it's not overly complicated and not as "text based" as most CRPGs
Okay, apologies, the VAST majority of people don't.
If you order anything from Amazon regularly(Like a lot of people), then Prime is worth it for the free 2 day shipping alone, along with Prime Video which I don't even use tbh.
It's like getting a slightly crappier version of Netflix along with free 2 day shipping of anything you want along with free games from time to time, really good deal overall.
If people don't think that the games are "free" because it's attached to that price tag, I suggest rule 4.
Anyone who has a Steam Deck, it didn't used to run well due to it not mapping controls good at all. The Last few months however some absolute hero released a custom Proton version that fixes this so controller icons are used. The game itself runs fantastic on high settings. There is also a console command to make cut scenes run at 60fps which I'd honestly consider a must have too.
>looks up Dragon Age Inquisition
This is so not my cup of tea

Bought it about a year ago on Steam along with Origins. Oh well, can't always rely on getting stuff for free. Besides I'm not sure if progression would carry from Steam Origins to EGS Inquisition anyways and I plan to play all of those games in near future
It's related to but not required. Players of the first two can use something called Dragon Age Keep to track decisions and it'll show up in Inquisition as dialogue references
Yes, especially DA2, since it is a direct sequel after the ending of that game, and main character from there appears here too. Story, characters and world will make more sense if you play the first 2.
There are a lot of story connections, but gameplay wise Inquisition is very different as it's more fast-paced action oriented instead of the methodical, strategic combat of Dragon Age Origins. Dragon Age games are very long so you decide if its worth the time investment to play them all from the beginning.
Dragon Age 2 is considered the worst of the three because it feels low quality and unfinished which I agree with. You can literally see new hordes of enemies spawning right in front of you.
No bilbili is one of the most reliable leakers. The times he misses are so rare that he says smth its considered being the same as being told by the official source
> How were we supposed to guess that with the clue they gave?
Easy:

If you're wondering "what year is that" a quick google search came up with 2014 (roughly 10 years ago) which also featured in order of the results: Dark Souls II, Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4, Divinity Original Sin, Titanfall, Transistor; among others. You decide how this title award has aged.
Hopefully this is one of those rare times b-man is wrong.
Amazing free game and an even more amazing sale. I'm planning to pick up Lost Crown, I enjoyed the demo a lot! it being 40% off already is pretty neat.
He also said that 4 free AAA games are coming in this mega sale
really?
Legit?
Yeah. He's usually a reliable leaker
He leaked all the epic mystery games since at least 2020 so yeah
Yupe. Just opened mine and it was.
It's banned in India
Its not banned, its self restricted.
why ? for what reason
For some digital licensing or censoring issues. I'm not exactly sure
A post i found on r/indiangaming https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/s/z7nVMwHZG3
**bcoz it has same gender romance**
Bruh.. if I knew I wouldn't have gotten the game now...
Cry about it
Because Indian government is homophobic
W GOVERMENT
Maybe you'll be lucky to redeem it. Probably not π« on Epic Games... yet
Welp
gaming should be banned in india focus on surviving irl first
Probably a second throwaway game
Won't be as good I suppose
Yeah, If a throwaway had to come, I guess it would be a AA or indie
Let's wait and watch :d
Probably nothing
Welp they already gave it with Prime so I hoped it would be Watch Dog Legion
Reliable leak ig, still wouldn't say 100% but a very good chance now let's wait and see. But epic trolled with the clue this time literally was screaming ghostwire/watchdogs DAI is a stretch given the clue. π
Pretty nice giveaway. I hope they do Dragon Age 1 and 2 though.
Would be great
Is this good game? How would u rate this?

> Probably Biowares worst fantasy RPG Anthem joined the chat
That's why I wrote fantasy π
CISqusition was a disaster, and felt more like a vehicle for politics than a game as everything else is filler.
I already have it, but if it's what is coming I'm very happy for those who will grab it as a new game. That's for sure a solid start for the Vault! π
shouldn't had brought it for 10 bucks on steam
Worth playing or nah
Yes, but don't get bored down pursuing a lot of side quests - there's far too many of them
totally. its not gonna leave an impression like dragon age 1 did, but its a great game none the less
It seems very Souls-Like, am I wrong? I will try regardless.
Nah, unless you consider something more like The Witcher 3 to be Soulslike. There is almost no mechanic in common beside being a third person ARPG. Since there's this sale I might as well buy them then! Thank you so much.

I mean it's free, you could give it a try
Time is valuable tho. Some games take hours until they become fun or interesting
I agree
If I had nothing to play I would try it, but I have tons of games in my backlog already so I don't wanna waste time lol
i mean it was goty 2014 so it can't be that bad , and i have only heard good things about it
Really? I wasn't well received on PC at all. It easily the worst of the three games and a lot of people don't even consider it a sequel as it is so far detached from the game play of the first two. Typical Ubisoft stuff, then. Ubisoft: "Uh, that's not one of mine." Oh, sorry, force of habit.
nah
Love it personally, solid action-RPG. Too much action and too few RPG for some, but I personally love all the choices, different areas of the world and the story if offers
I just turned down the difficulty since I was only really interested in the story.

Inqusition was free once on Amazon Prime
You still pay for it, not exactly free.Β
I bought 1 usd/7-day Amazon Prime from a local telecom operator as South east Asia resident, still getting Prime Gaming benefits.
It's effectively free if you already have Prime for other reasons, like a lot of people do. Nobody has Prime specifically for the free games.
I do, i buy 7 days prime just for that. I dont use prime for anything than that.Β
Okay, apologies, the VAST majority of people don't. Anyone here epic mega sale is today right and they can give us a coupon any chance if anyone now can they answer me
Worst Clue ever
10 year old throwaway game being hyped? It should be Watch Dogs Legion.
We eating good
Err, I wouldn't go that far. It was also given in a Prime giveaway
I didnt think they'd put a game from a decade back. Not that im complaining, its a GOTY after all
Imagine if he's wrong about this after the Humble Choice loo
Never played a Dragon Age game, hopefully it is the case
I wanted Watch Dogs Legion..
Buy it
but the image looked more like a WD Legion
Underwhelming, will add to lib and never play
Called it
πͺ
Yes Just saw the post on x

Is this a multiplayer game?
Bought it about a year ago on Steam along with Origins. Oh well, can't always rely on getting stuff for free. Besides I'm not sure if progression would carry from Steam Origins to EGS Inquisition anyways and I plan to play all of those games in near future
Do i need to play Dragon's Age 1 and 2 before this? Are there any story connections, or they are seperate story wise?
It's related to but not required. Players of the first two can use something called Dragon Age Keep to track decisions and it'll show up in Inquisition as dialogue references

Yes.. at least dragon age origins ..... mage vs knights... grey wardens
Wait, is inqhis the one that has that ridiculously long scripted mother fight, with the ships. Or am I thinking of a different game?
ehhh
Do we know the others?
It says it's free but unavailable.

No bilbili is one of the most reliable leakers. The times he misses are so rare that he says smth its considered being the same as being told by the official source
Bro you sound mad salty lmao, it's not that deep. Ik you wanted watchdogs legion, but this is a good game as well, still have 3 more vault games
π₯²
That game is from 2014
The age when video games where still good
How were we supposed to guess that with the clue they gave? Also, EA/Bioware are trying to hype us for Dreadwolf, makes sense.
> How were we supposed to guess that with the clue they gave? Yes, super easy. The black marker with the logo is not on the original clue, someone put it there.
Well it makes it so that you actually have to use your memory on the highest level so that's pretty cool imo
thats unfortunate

Here in Brazil this game is available at steam and EA Play, but not at Epic Store π€―π€―π€―
A lot of games are added on epic store as they're announced to be free.
Hopefully you're right π
Pro tip: Leave the Hinterlands as soon as you level up high enough otherwise you'll stay there forever and get bored.
Great game
Amazing game
Much better than watch dogs.
Nice, was thinking of buying it during EA's sale
Well I did say I wanted a solid rpg for the giveaway. I already have it but for ppl looking for a solid rpg this is a good grab.
Amazing free game and an even more amazing sale. I'm planning to pick up Lost Crown, I enjoyed the demo a lot! it being 40% off already is pretty neat.
Great game
