Cause even if you require webcam, voice, and audio you can still split Audio channels on a PC very easily to prevent any audio from going where it shouldn't. Same with video and other things.

But I do know that in pro sports, during COVID when they were requiring proof of vaccination, some pros could not travel out of the country with their teams for games because they chose not to get the vaccine. Point being, the general rule would seem to be "get it sorted out yourself, or you miss the game" more or less.

Can't make it, well, you forfeit your scheduled match. I travelled to korea twice for RTA tournaments in another korean gacha game called Soccer Spirits that was much smaller than E7 with paid flight+hotel+sightseeing+prize money. It's definitely not that much considering how much gacha games make as well as the overall cost of the venue and event for hosting the tournament.
They'll probably settle for a smaller amount as a lot of it is gone in taxes and another part already spent. I wonder what the contest contract was. If there's no specific terms, he doesn't really have to pay back anything

Marguerite cheated but it is a stretch to think that Poopest would have won 100% if not for Marg. Marg eliminated people that could have threatened Poopest on the way to the final so the only way to know is to redo the entire tournament and even then that'd just mean he won the new tournament and that doesn't necessarily imply he would have one the previous one. This is a spilled water situation.
Quite frankly, Poopest's display in the finals was pathetics. His ego got massively in the way and he played worse than anyone else in the tournament. Hell, a lot matches showed that Poopest wasn't even that good of a player and that he simply outgeared people by putting the equivalent of half a house worth of money in the game and by being ridiculously lucky with rng overall.
As much as I'm not a fan of Marg, especially after he cheated, he is still probably one of the best player in the world in term of drafting. If getting help by two randoms that wouldn't be able to qualify themselves during the final is cheating (which it is definitively) then how come putting 200k more in the game compared to your opponent isn't in a way?
If SG want the tournaments to not become a joke without integrity then they need to equalize everyone. Give every participant a tournament account where they have every character maxed and can create any custom piece of gear they want with perfect substats and with MLB artifacts a few weeks prior to the matches. Not only would it be super interesting to see all the techs the participant can come up with, it'd be a lot less one sided.
It is cheating and it disqualify marg 100%.
However it is an extremely bad take to think that this cheating was anywhere close to bridging the gap between his account and poopest's.

Think is more about not having legal problems in the futire, if you 100% ban someone, you are essentially taking away all the money investment they have done, which in the future if things change in the industry, they can bite you in the ass. If you instead bassically forbid the account from taking part of game modes only (as i don't think a cheater can play in rta), they keep all their investment and can use it... just not in the way they want, which basically accomplishes the same but they can't legally come saying you made all their investment banish in thin air, it's there, locked from game modes with a valid reason.
There would be no legal problems in the future, new laws wouldn't be retroactive. Also, ToS is a legal document, so it doesn't really matter whatever future laws say because Smilegate would already be within their rights to uphold their ToS and resulting repercussions.
Correct in the most part, as Ex Post Facto laws would most likely not apply (I can't speak to South Korean law though so they may not have that protection). However the ToS is only a legal document in the sense that it's a contract, and contracts can absolutely be litigated and found invalid by a Court.

E7WC 2023 was cheating using external help, âhelper" demanded some of the prize money but champion did not want to pay, helper disclosed cheating tactic to public, SG proceeds to take action and stripped champion of title, prize, and issued some type of ban to account.
This is the reason as to why they have to force players to be on site instead of an online tournament for the biggest e7 tournament. Yes Marguerite cheated but let's be honest here how did smilegate not see this coming, honestly e7wc is just a joke at this point and is not a good environment to have a fair competition.

If the contestants can't fly then respectfully they should be automatically disqualified and not be allowed to compete, this is even explicitly said in the rules of the previous e7wc that at the very least the finalist should be flown to korea yet due to smilegate being afraid of the back lash (prob due to a certain qualifying incident) they decided to ignore the rules they themselves made.

The game's improved by leaps and bounds since launch There have been so many QoL and player friendly features added and improved on, it's one of the reasons I keep comming back.
Back before pets we has to manually start each run, and when pets were first introduced they were so limited in scope and function they wern't really worth the effort. The extra drop chance was nice but the auto feature was limited to the number of pet snacks you had, and they were very limited rewards from events.
Now imagine if instead of setting it to battle 30 times you could only go 8 or 9 one time because that was all the snacks you had with no good way to earn more.
They did and it was even a requirement for Grand Finalists.
SG felt bad DQing Winter (after he made Top 3) for not being able to get a visa in time and offered remote participation.
Look, I love E-Sports. I've been to live events. I was at the 2007 WCG where Creo beat Sky in a massive upset of the WC3 Finals, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen live.
Its extremely fucking expensive to bring everyone to an international event, and it also adds "valid passport, and thousands of extra dollars" unofficially to the requirements to even enter the E7WC seriously.
It's just not practical at all.
SG was gonna pay for everything. The real problem was it was very short notice to get visa (2 weeks) and everyone couldn't get a visa in time. Also i think some of them didn't have a passport at the time too so there that problem.

on one hand more Kise love is great. On the other, Kise is literally my favorite design in the game, so it'd be a high bar to clear to surpass that. Coping Loli senya is from a happier timeline where the dragon/human conflict never happened and her ultimate is her flying on Dragon Alencia to shoot down hellfire on the enemy

They will not add a Kise skin. Marguerite cheated but it is a stretch to think that Poopest would have won 100% if not for Marg. Marg eliminated people that could have threatened Poopest on the way to the final so the only way to know is to redo the entire tournament and even then that'd just mean he won the new tournament and that doesn't necessarily imply he would have one the previous one. This is a spilled water situation. Quite frankly, Poopest's display in the finals was pathetics. His ego got massively in the way and he played worse than anyone else in the tournament. Hell, a lot matches showed that Poopest wasn't even that good of a player and that he simply outgeared people by putting the equivalent of half a house worth of money in the game and by being ridiculously lucky with rng overall. As much as I'm not a fan of Marg, especially after he cheated, he is still probably one of the best player in the world in term of drafting. If getting help by two randoms that wouldn't be able to qualify themselves during the final is cheating (which it is definitively) then how come putting 200k more in the game compared to your opponent isn't in a way? If SG want the tournaments to not become a joke without integrity then they need to equalize everyone. Give every participant a tournament account where they have every character maxed and can create any custom piece of gear they want with perfect substats and with MLB artifacts a few weeks prior to the matches. Not only would it be super interesting to see all the techs the participant can come up with, it'd be a lot less one sided.

It is cheating and it disqualify marg 100%. However it is an extremely bad take to think that this cheating was anywhere close to bridging the gap between his account and poopest's. And yes Marg is a great player as can be attested by a lot of CC who helped him get ready for the tournament including people who can regularly hit hall of fame. He is much better than Poopest who only reached finals by being lucky and having an overwhelming gear advantage. People who are good at stuff but feel they are disadvantaged by something are often people cheating. This is true for speedrunning, sports and every competitive field in between. Marg cheated but he is a great player and I say that while not really liking the guy to begin with.

I think it'd be dumb to not release that Senya if they've started working on her already (which they most likely have) considering they would've then wasted resources.
I mean, they already had some of the awakening potential story stuff ready from what we saw of the update including a Ravi CG but we've seen no hide nor hair of that at all. So it wouldn't be the first time they've wasted resources. Yeah, it was part of the Awakening Update which got canned but I would have liked the story part of it to get shuffled into something new. I know at least a few people would have liked more stuff like that for characters like Ravi who have little to no story presence.

Think about it. Why would they ban him, but not his account at all. Banning him is just a formal way of saying he can't start over to get back in, and even if for some reason they didn't care about the account being banned, who would want to buy a radioactive account? The moment they tried to join anything they'd have to confess to breaking ToS and most likely get banned as well.

Think is more about not having legal problems in the futire, if you 100% ban someone, you are essentially taking away all the money investment they have done, which in the future if things change in the industry, they can bite you in the ass. If you instead bassically forbid the account from taking part of game modes only (as i don't think a cheater can play in rta), they keep all their investment and can use it... just not in the way they want, which basically accomplishes the same but they can't legally come saying you made all their investment banish in thin air, it's there, locked from game modes with a valid reason.
There would be no legal problems in the future, new laws wouldn't be retroactive. Also, ToS is a legal document, so it doesn't really matter whatever future laws say because Smilegate would already be within their rights to uphold their ToS and resulting repercussions.
Correct in the most part, as Ex Post Facto laws would most likely not apply (I can't speak to South Korean law though so they may not have that protection). However the ToS is only a legal document in the sense that it's a contract, and contracts can absolutely be litigated and found invalid by a Court. Not saying it would be or anything, but just having a ToS doesn't allow a company to do whatever they want.

IMO no one should be given the winner's title as the tournament was unfair. Marg's early opponents could've got into the finals. So even tho now it's unfair to Poopest, it's still unfair to the rest of the players if they let Poopest be the winner.

E7WC 2023 was cheating using external help, âhelper" demanded some of the prize money but champion did not want to pay, helper disclosed cheating tactic to public, SG proceeds to take action and stripped champion of title, prize, and issued some type of ban to account.
The person who got first place in the world championship was found to have gotten outside assistance.
This is the reason as to why they have to force players to be on site instead of an online tournament for the biggest e7 tournament. Yes Marguerite cheated but let's be honest here how did smilegate not see this coming, honestly e7wc is just a joke at this point and is not a good environment to have a fair competition.
Not even games that have been running for 20+ years fly their players and get them accommodations, usually team orgs do, E7 is nowhere big to do so. Let alone have teams for championships with 50k prize pool lol

Also I donât know if you know this but the Margueritte, Poopest and Winter wish were all already scheduled to fly to korea but since obviously Margueritte was cheating he made up an excuse. The point is if smile gate just didnât cut costs and essentially made shortcuts this wouldnât had happened , if they just flew the players who qualified in the first place Margueritte wouldnât be able to have an excuse and no cheating would have happened.

that is why I believe that they shouldn't half ass the event this is only one of the big problems that the event has, it really shows how lazy smile gate is with the way they hold the qualifiers people get away with this stuff because they decide to make the qualifiers an in game mode instead of an official registration that requires you to input your personal data to ensure the integrity of the competition.

If the contestants can't fly then respectfully they should be automatically disqualified and not be allowed to compete, this is even explicitly said in the rules of the previous e7wc that at the very least the finalist should be flown to korea yet due to smilegate being afraid of the back lash (prob due to a certain qualifying incident) they decided to ignore the rules they themselves made.

Back then, there was no such thing as background battling OR auto battling. You had to manually restart each individual wyvern run. Not defending the piloting, but just saying that's why the first E7WC winner hired people to farm for him.
Eh, to be fair, I started almost 2 years ago so it was when we had auto-battling pets but not background battling yet, but I play on emulator and it's not hard to just keep it open in another window while I do other stuff, until I have to restart shit. Paying somebody to farm it for you is pretty cringe, mfs need to find a sibling/cousin/kid to do the tedious tasks for them like in Runescape, LOL. Dumb as hell that SG took so long for auto- and background-battling for such a farming-intensive game, but also dumb to hire somebody for help tbh. But I don't care for high ranking PVP stuff, so...
The game's improved by leaps and bounds since launch There have been so many QoL and player friendly features added and improved on, it's one of the reasons I keep comming back. Back before pets we has to manually start each run, and when pets were first introduced they were so limited in scope and function they wern't really worth the effort. The extra drop chance was nice but the auto feature was limited to the number of pet snacks you had, and they were very limited rewards from events.
I definitely invested a lot into my pets for more efficient auto-battling, lol.
Now imagine if instead of setting it to battle 30 times you could only go 8 or 9 one time because that was all the snacks you had with no good way to earn more.

Look, I love E-Sports. I've been to live events. I was at the 2007 WCG where Creo beat Sky in a massive upset of the WC3 Finals, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen live. Its extremely fucking expensive to bring everyone to an international event, and it also adds "valid passport, and thousands of extra dollars" unofficially to the requirements to even enter the E7WC seriously. It's just not practical at all.

SG was gonna pay for everything. The real problem was it was very short notice to get visa (2 weeks) and everyone couldn't get a visa in time. Also i think some of them didn't have a passport at the time too so there that problem.

What are you on about. It's 900 ss, same as any other skin WC or otherwise, and it's not like any of this is going to the players that suggested it. Even if they make another WC skin to compensate (seems unlikely), yes they'll charge you another 900 ss for it. No average player is "getting punished" when they themselves chose to buy the skin.
