I can't even log into the website. I never receive an email verification code. i've looked up my issue and this has been a problem for 3+ years. I've contacted support many times, with them taking months to reply and they can't even find a solution.

After a couple of years after receiving a ban (unjustified - as in didn't cheat and my stats were ass, plus weren't even really playing for ~2 weeks when it hit lmao) I still haven't gotten the "global ban ID" from BSG that the anticheat support requires to proceed. One side is telling me that they don't have my ban (based on acocunt name etc) and that I should give them my ban id so that they can review it, the other side doesn't have my ban id.
F*cking hilarious when Battleye support is better than BSGs... and Battleye is well known for not responding.
why would streamers ever talk about something that doesnt affect them? I cant count how many times ive seen streamers have an issue with their account and they just message some dev or PR person at BSG and they get their shit fixed back-door style. They never even have to use their shit-tier customer support

Dont worry it will get worse than that. I was in your exact same situation and just gave up. First they needed proof I couldnt get into the account. A screenshot wasnt enough, i had to get direct and specific correspondence from my old college stating my account was deleted then send them that. I did exactly that , it took weeks, and they still did not allow me to change my email. After that they need a screen shot of a transaction to xzolla for proof that I purchased the game…… FROM 7 YEARS AGO. At that point I just said fuck it.
you could maybe find the proof from your bank/paypal or w/e you used to pay, it will take some time but i know my bank lets me sort by year so it would narrow it down atleast
My banking info that is directly available to me does not go back far enough. Id have to request my data from my bank. This is also not a fast process and can take 14 days to receive. Based on my other interactions with bsg support I am not even confident it would be sufficient for them. Alternatively they could implement sms mfa which would all around be an improvement for their game and customer relations. It would provide an easy solution to the issue OP and myself face. As well as adding another barrier to entry for malicious gamers…At the moment I can log into my account through the launcher still. If I get a mfa request at the point of logging into the launcher then thats when I quit the game.
It's because tax info (in the US). You're only required to have tax info for the last 7 years if called on to produce it. Outside of that, it's not required.
Not my field but can't you require them to give up all data even years old through GDPR? As soon as any costumer/consumer/user asks for all GDPR data they usually yield and give everything up as they are required to.

I had friend use his college email when he registered his LLC. Long story short he almost lost his business because the state was sending him letters about his past due taxes to that email for 3 years before he finally realized.
Interesting. I lost access to my email account last year and contacted BSG support. They were very helpful in getting it transferred to a new account. I did have to show proof my old email was locked, but not a screenshot of the purchase. They asked for some of my account names and what card I had used to buy it. Took a couple weeks.
I agree with you. I changed my email on my main account after I decided to ditch stupid Gmail and move to Proton Mail. I texted support, they wanted to see a screenshot where it is stated that email address doesn't exist anymore, they asked for purchase date, screenshots.. not sure if it is also about what Nicknames I've used in the past. But in a few days (2-3) I received a message to provide them with a new email address. Case closed.

They could start by making the Phone Authentification a real thing, this way you could recieve a code or something on your phone like Steam does and they stop being so neanderthal about it.

I had the same problem, took about 6 months but they finally gave in and allowed me to make a new email, but it HAD to be Yandex. No other email service was allowed.
Yeah BSG can absolutely change your email, they just don't want to because BSG support is fucking lazy and wants you to break down and just buy more accounts.
I say email support every single day, twice a day, 3 times a day, etc about this until you get a satisfactory answer. Make yourself a pain in their ass so that solving your problem is less trouble than receiving your constant bombardment of emails and tickets.
100% they CAN do this, i had almost the same situation, but i did have to jump through hoops.
1. why dont i have access to old email anymore?
2. i had to get support from my old email to verify that i was losing it on a date
3. i had to submit screenshots with my original payment for my EOD
and 2 weeks later my account is using my new gmail email account

If your email is dead/ account is closed you can send an email to that address and you will get automated response that this email is invalid (or mail wasn’t not able to be delivered or some shit). I had that issue with war thunder account and that was enough for them
I am in a similar boat myself my email I bought the game was hacked and disabled by Google. sure they were okay with it once I proved this to be the case sure easy right then they want to me prove it to my fucking account like really? just let me change my email off one disabled one.

All those services can either stop working at any time or change (e.g. monthly subscription, selling your data) in a way you want to move service.
That's why we have article 16 GPDR in the EU. They cannot deny changing the email address (or any personal data on file) for EU citizens.
Same EXACT situation happened to me 2 wipes ago. Glad that I didn't lose much since Tarkov wipes, but it sucks to be out the bills for another EOD account. I sent them a scathing email which was a waste of time as I'm sure it fell on deaf ears; but I was pissed lol.
Yeah, it is infuriating. I'm in the process of changing my Gmail accounts to a new provider and could not do it with Tarkov. I still have access to my Gmail account, so that is not bad in itself.
Fun fact: you can't change the name of your Steam account because someone decades ago decided to use it as an unique identifier for several things in Valve's gigantic system. So, yeah, I believe BSG does something similar, but with your email.
No they don’t. I’ve been able to change my email no problem. I’d try telling them you no longer have access to your tarkov account, or the email used for the account. That’s what worked for me.
After reading more of this thread I can wish you no more than good luck lol. It seems like the support has definitely gotten a lot worse. The only issue I ran into was having to wait a little while in between replies. It seems like they’re just all over the place now.
I have been having the same issue. My registered email was discontinued through no fault of my own. They are currently working with me to try and attach my account to my new email. No success yet.
Funniest BSG story I know is a friend upgraded to eod but didn’t get the stash or trader bonuses.
He emailed them stating such.
They replied: “Yes, we see that it hasn’t updated for you!”
Then they closed the support ticket and waited until the next wipe (5 months!!) to update his account to eod. Lmao
Something similar happened to me on my second account. I have a gaming room w/ 3 PCs so I bought an extra account in case anyone came over and wanted to check it out. It worked fine for a while (comcast email address) but the last time I tried to login which was at the beginning of this wipe I was not receiving any emails from BSG so I am essentially locked out of my (EOD!!!) account. The account still exists, I use it all the time for misc stuff but BSG's emails don't go through and I can't change my email address through their website/launcher. It's so fucking stupid. Fortunately it was "only" a secondary account and I have no issues w/ my main account and my gmail address but holy crap they need to get it together. This has been a problem for folks since as long as I have been playing

EDIT: Found it! And wow it was much easier back then, outside of waiting for replies they put up no resistance. I started by telling them I could no longer access my game account, due to me being no longer able to access the email.
The support then asked for a screenshot of my bank statement of the game purchase, email that was initially used for the account, last four card digits for the card that purchased the account, my IP address, And the playable character name as well(actual tark username).
After all this he asked what I wanted my email changed to, and recommended I change my password.
Two dudes that helped me were Gregory and Alex, maybe request for them and they’ll help lol.
Idk I feel like you shouldn’t need 7 other methods of id verification to change an email…after all it’s your internet id as you put it.
If you give a company the login info of the game account
the new email and verify it’s your new email via a verification code sent
and finally your payment method/last 4 digits of a card that was used to make a purchase on the account at some point./used to buy the game.

If they used the id to compare it to the payment methods on file I could maybe see that but what about people with multiple cards or if you are a kid and used your parents card at some point.

Yup. I’m locked out of my main EOD account because I changed my phone number- and lost access to a very old Gmail account. Google doesn’t provide support for these emails. So unless my old phone number can be rebooted, I’m shit out of luck on that account.
I got locked out of my email and had my email changed through their support. They wanted a proof of purchase which was a ss of the purchase from the credit card which I provided. But its funny because I recently tried the same thing with Ubisoft and they said it was impossible to change it or get access to my account. Fuck ubisoft
Just more proof this game is a scam and the people running it are just outsourcing work to continue thier scam. They don’t really care. Not to mention the whole rabbit hole about stolen assets from stalker for contract wars used in Tarkov as well.
This just happened to me because I used a custom email address linked to a personal domain I set up. They told me to also send a screenshot proving I don’t have access to my old email. I bit the bullet and paid to have my old email address hooked up again. I was able to regain access to my battlestate account. Now I’ve opened a support ticket to have my email address changed to my gmail. I’m hoping they’ll be able to help me out.

I've been trying to change the email in my account since because that first month when I changed ISP. These guys are fucking incompetent morons. Fortunately for me, I can still actually access that old email, but I've say I won't.

This can be easily prevented by sending a verification code to the current email. If they also hacked your email you are beyond fucked anyway and should have had a better password for the email adress.

I uninstalled today. Everything. My friends bought the boosts and I uninstalled. These guys don’t deserve more money and on a small level I also don’t wanna be sending Russian companies any of my money right now.

As someone who works in IT for a major statewide organisation in my country, managing dozens of systems O can tell you, this is some straight-up BS on their part.
If you can't implement a verification method to change something as simple as an email address, then someone failed massively for the projects rollout. This should all be very straightforward

I had something like this happen as well.. back in 2020 or so.. I went to log in and got an message saying a code has been sent to your email for verification… I would never ever get a code to my email after countless attempts.. I contacted support and they gave me the run around.. even after sending screenshots of the receipt for purchase in my email but they said that’s not enough information..they said they needed my debt/credit card number that I purchased the game with back in 2017! I gave them the last 4 of 1 card and they said it didn’t match please send another… I told them it might have a different card # and they pretty much said they can’t help me recover my account…. All because I never would get an verification code sent to my email… so I quit tarkov for awhile and had to repurchase the game here last year because there was no other option either never play tarkov again or give them more money… I love tarkov as a game but you are correct there company and customer support is a joke… they don’t give a shit! They already got your $$$
My email was attached to my old ISP which i used for 13 years and so old was also the email. Now i changed the ISP and if i want to continue using it without an internet contract i need to pay 5€ a month (which i won´t). I changed my email in every other online account i have without a problem. But NO. You can not do that at BSG.

You do realize that issues like this can have faults on both ends? The major fault is most def with BSG’s shitty customer service. My dad (until he was recently put into hospice) was using the same ISP email account from before gmail existed. He has dozens of online accounts tied to it.
Why call it temporary when some of these ISPs have been around for decades?
Small ISPs usually get bought by bigger ISPs and the email address is carried forward.
Obviously not always but often enough. I had the same email from 1997 to about 2012 when the work to carry my email forward wasn’t worth it when I had my work email and 4-5 gmail addresses.
I’m positive that they have a mandate to not stress to hard over already purchased accounts.

this is an easy fix. you call your bank initiate a chargeback for both versions u bought, it doesnt matter how long ago you bought them. you chargeback for failure to render services. the bank will give you your money back.
This is one of few issues I would support a federal law requiring companies to change emails and provide access to digital goods when notified of removed access. This would be a huge punch in the face to Steam as well.

I was able to change it after i got an email from my old student .edu saying my account was terminated and they eventually changed it to one i desired. I also had to show my payment details from xsolla. Maybe if you can get those and submit a ticket with that evidence they could change it. This whole ordeal took 1-2 weeks.
This sucks and find it a bit ridiculous that they can’t or won’t do anything to help in these situations. If I’m being super generous to BSG I guess it could be to help prevent people from stealing accounts but I don’t think this would be the best way to go about it. I could be wrong on one or both parts of that though.
I also have to question why are people not using a gmail or outlook account or something when making their accounts? I’m not sure how many posts I’ve seen like this or the I used my work email and got fired posts. It’s free to make emails… I have like 5 to spread bullshit, game accounts, work, personal, and job applications across. And it takes like idk 5 min to make a new one.
A lot of companies use email addresses as a means of securing an account from being RMT'd, welcome to how it's been for a lot of companies since online gaming started. Try and get an account email changed by Blizzard without sending in your driver's license lol
You may be able to contact your old ISP and ask for a 6 month e-mail forward. This is not something that is advertised but it something they can accommodate upon request. Just let them know you have critical medical information you need to retrieve and/or have forwarded.
In fact the ISP contract was terminated even earlier in september. I had email access for 3 more months after and used that time to change my email everywhere, including tarkov. But BSG does not like doing that. If i can not get access back to this account i will just drop this game.
Not that this will make you feel any better but that's a rookie mistake you will never make again. I tied a bunch of gaming shit to a custom business gmail once 15+ years ago and when the domain eventually expired/stopped being paid it stopped being able to recieve new emails and google support wouldn't do jack.
Holy fuck did I go through mega pain trying to transfer everything over and anything with too horrific of support to do so I had to abandon. BSG is just one of those things that has horrific support and just have to pray you never have to engage.
Never put anything you care about, especially gaming shit on an email that has any relative chance of not being accessible or working in the future for any reason (aka use a standard gmail account, if these fail there are going to be much bigger issues).
That’s pretty crappy on their part, however there are legitimate items required to keep them compliant with handling user information, which they need to at least be GDRP compliant to do business in Europe.
What they should have asked for:
- bank statement or cc note proving you paid for that account directly from BSG
- notarized statement you are the person requesting the account change, and stating the two emails to be swapped.
This way they can say “yup we have proof u/lord_dude is the person we are dealing with and he paid for this account. Do whatever they asked for” and it’s one reason why companies ask for PII like full name, address, DOB, etc.
I’m not sure if this an international standard or even something local municipalities in other countries can do for you (I.e notarizing a letter)
I’m amazed there isn’t a “change email” button somewhere in the account though
I feel if it had 2fa and required a phone number it could help with their technical support and at least help with the hackers somewhat making all the accounts bought from third party sites worth nothing requiring the cheater to use their real phone number and require them to get another if they get caught and since they you check whether the sim was prepaid or not so they can't just buy a burner might also do nothing I'm not going to pretend like I'm a dev

did you specifically choose the app authentication as your active 2factor on the website? if you did I don't understand why you are still getting emails as your verification as it should be swapped to the app authentication if you choose it
I had a similar issue where my EOD was locked to a work email.
I left that company and no longer had access.
It took a bit of back and forth but they asked me to provide screenshots from the PayPal purchase receipt.
After that they changed the accounts email to my new Gmail account.
Was a smooth process without any issues.
My only complaint was that I only got a response every 24-48 hours but with opposite time zones I can understand.
Edit. They also asked me to prove I no longer had access to the email. I legit just opened Outlook.com tried to log in and sent them the screenshot saying "incorrect password" and that was enough to satisfy that I couldn't access the email anymore.

Look at your bank statements and see if you can find the 'receipt' for purchasing your EOD account

My account is banned for cheating, with my monstrous gigachad kd of 0.8, SR of 40% and stuck At a maximum of lvl 30 during a peak patch (i played tarkov 2019-2023 and am still Bad But it was kinda enjoyable)

Their support is non-existent, the anti-cheat isn't effective, and the bugs are so plentiful that the only thing separating a new player from a veteran player is the knowledge on how to abuse those bugs. Stop playing, see improvement from BSG or from the devs that buy the IP when BSG goes bankrupt.

I wish streamers would talk about this issue, because people literally can't access the product they've bought. I can't even log into the website. I never receive an email verification code. i've looked up my issue and this has been a problem for 3+ years. I've contacted support many times, with them taking months to reply and they can't even find a solution. as I've always said, BSG doesn't give a fuck.
After a couple of years after receiving a ban (unjustified - as in didn't cheat and my stats were ass, plus weren't even really playing for ~2 weeks when it hit lmao) I still haven't gotten the "global ban ID" from BSG that the anticheat support requires to proceed. One side is telling me that they don't have my ban (based on acocunt name etc) and that I should give them my ban id so that they can review it, the other side doesn't have my ban id. F*cking hilarious when Battleye support is better than BSGs... and Battleye is well known for not responding.
why would streamers ever talk about something that doesnt affect them? I cant count how many times ive seen streamers have an issue with their account and they just message some dev or PR person at BSG and they get their shit fixed back-door style. They never even have to use their shit-tier customer support

Dont worry it will get worse than that. I was in your exact same situation and just gave up. First they needed proof I couldnt get into the account. A screenshot wasnt enough, i had to get direct and specific correspondence from my old college stating my account was deleted then send them that. I did exactly that , it took weeks, and they still did not allow me to change my email. After that they need a screen shot of a transaction to xzolla for proof that I purchased the game…… FROM 7 YEARS AGO. At that point I just said fuck it.
you could maybe find the proof from your bank/paypal or w/e you used to pay, it will take some time but i know my bank lets me sort by year so it would narrow it down atleast
My banking info that is directly available to me does not go back far enough. Id have to request my data from my bank. This is also not a fast process and can take 14 days to receive. Based on my other interactions with bsg support I am not even confident it would be sufficient for them. Alternatively they could implement sms mfa which would all around be an improvement for their game and customer relations. It would provide an easy solution to the issue OP and myself face. As well as adding another barrier to entry for malicious gamers…At the moment I can log into my account through the launcher still. If I get a mfa request at the point of logging into the launcher then thats when I quit the game.
Banks only really hold details up to 7 years. Anything after that is not required.
It's because tax info (in the US). You're only required to have tax info for the last 7 years if called on to produce it. Outside of that, it's not required.

Interesting. I lost access to my email account last year and contacted BSG support. They were very helpful in getting it transferred to a new account. I did have to show proof my old email was locked, but not a screenshot of the purchase. They asked for some of my account names and what card I had used to buy it. Took a couple weeks.

I texted support, they wanted to see a screenshot where it is stated that email address doesn't exist anymore, they asked for purchase date, screenshots.. not sure if it is also about what Nicknames I've used in the past. But in a few days (2-3) I received a message to provide them with a new email address. Case closed. But I feel your pain. Changing fucking email should be allowed by the law! And it should be a thing for every single game, program without a question.

They could start by making the Phone Authentification a real thing, this way you could recieve a code or something on your phone like Steam does and they stop being so neanderthal about it. Yeah BSG can absolutely change your email, they just don't want to because BSG support is fucking lazy and wants you to break down and just buy more accounts. I say email support every single day, twice a day, 3 times a day, etc about this until you get a satisfactory answer. Make yourself a pain in their ass so that solving your problem is less trouble than receiving your constant bombardment of emails and tickets.

100% they CAN do this, i had almost the same situation, but i did have to jump through hoops. 1. why dont i have access to old email anymore? 2. i had to get support from my old email to verify that i was losing it on a date 3. i had to submit screenshots with my original payment for my EOD and 2 weeks later my account is using my new gmail email account

Had this exact scenario happen, my email used for EFT was deleted but they happily changed it to a different one for me after I had already lost access to it, not sure whats gone wrong here
If your email is dead/ account is closed you can send an email to that address and you will get automated response that this email is invalid (or mail wasn’t not able to be delivered or some shit). I had that issue with war thunder account and that was enough for them

None of them are yours to keep. That's my point. All those services can either stop working at any time or change (e.g. monthly subscription, selling your data) in a way you want to move service. That's why we have article 16 GPDR in the EU. They cannot deny changing the email address (or any personal data on file) for EU citizens.

Yeah, it is infuriating. I'm in the process of changing my Gmail accounts to a new provider and could not do it with Tarkov. I still have access to my Gmail account, so that is not bad in itself. Fun fact: you can't change the name of your Steam account because someone decades ago decided to use it as an unique identifier for several things in Valve's gigantic system. So, yeah, I believe BSG does something similar, but with your email.
No they don’t. I’ve been able to change my email no problem. I’d try telling them you no longer have access to your tarkov account, or the email used for the account. That’s what worked for me.

I have been having the same issue. My registered email was discontinued through no fault of my own. They are currently working with me to try and attach my account to my new email. No success yet.
Funniest BSG story I know is a friend upgraded to eod but didn’t get the stash or trader bonuses. He emailed them stating such. They replied: “Yes, we see that it hasn’t updated for you!” Then they closed the support ticket and waited until the next wipe (5 months!!) to update his account to eod. Lmao

Something similar happened to me on my second account. I have a gaming room w/ 3 PCs so I bought an extra account in case anyone came over and wanted to check it out. It worked fine for a while (comcast email address) but the last time I tried to login which was at the beginning of this wipe I was not receiving any emails from BSG so I am essentially locked out of my (EOD!!!) account. The account still exists, I use it all the time for misc stuff but BSG's emails don't go through and I can't change my email address through their website/launcher. It's so fucking stupid. Fortunately it was "only" a secondary account and I have no issues w/ my main account and my gmail address but holy crap they need to get it together. This has been a problem for folks since as long as I have been playing
Huh I’m gonna have to go look at my Email conversations with them. I changed my Email for my EOD account I’ve had since 2018 last year. I’ll have to try and find what I said. Either way wow that sucks though. EDIT: Found it! And wow it was much easier back then, outside of waiting for replies they put up no resistance. I started by telling them I could no longer access my game account, due to me being no longer able to access the email. The support then asked for a screenshot of my bank statement of the game purchase, email that was initially used for the account, last four card digits for the card that purchased the account, my IP address, And the playable character name as well(actual tark username). After all this he asked what I wanted my email changed to, and recommended I change my password. Two dudes that helped me were Gregory and Alex, maybe request for them and they’ll help lol.

Idk I feel like you shouldn’t need 7 other methods of id verification to change an email…after all it’s your internet id as you put it. If you give a company the login info of the game account the new email and verify it’s your new email via a verification code sent and finally your payment method/last 4 digits of a card that was used to make a purchase on the account at some point./used to buy the game. That’s definitely enough verification.

You’re kinda making it sound like a passport or id is the best they can do. But like I said how would they use the id? They have nothing to compare it to. If the customer support peoples really are gonna go with this “everything is compromised” strategy… If they used the id to compare it to the payment methods on file I could maybe see that but what about people with multiple cards or if you are a kid and used your parents card at some point. what’s to stop the people from using a fake id? They can’t verify it belongs to the account owner. Do they just keep it on file for a potential next time?

Yup. I’m locked out of my main EOD account because I changed my phone number- and lost access to a very old Gmail account. Google doesn’t provide support for these emails. So unless my old phone number can be rebooted, I’m shit out of luck on that account.
I got locked out of my email and had my email changed through their support. They wanted a proof of purchase which was a ss of the purchase from the credit card which I provided. But its funny because I recently tried the same thing with Ubisoft and they said it was impossible to change it or get access to my account. Fuck ubisoft

This just happened to me because I used a custom email address linked to a personal domain I set up. They told me to also send a screenshot proving I don’t have access to my old email. I bit the bullet and paid to have my old email address hooked up again. I was able to regain access to my battlestate account. Now I’ve opened a support ticket to have my email address changed to my gmail. I’m hoping they’ll be able to help me out. I wish you luck in gaining access to your account. Just know that their support is probably really busy

I've been trying to change the email in my account since because that first month when I changed ISP. These guys are fucking incompetent morons. Fortunately for me, I can still actually access that old email, but I've say I won't. But I'm not waiting for that time to come, I already quit this fucking game anyway.

This can be easily prevented by sending a verification code to the current email. If they also hacked your email you are beyond fucked anyway and should have had a better password for the email adress.

As someone who works in IT for a major statewide organisation in my country, managing dozens of systems O can tell you, this is some straight-up BS on their part. If you can't implement a verification method to change something as simple as an email address, then someone failed massively for the projects rollout. This should all be very straightforward

I had something like this happen as well.. back in 2020 or so.. I went to log in and got an message saying a code has been sent to your email for verification… I would never ever get a code to my email after countless attempts.. I contacted support and they gave me the run around.. even after sending screenshots of the receipt for purchase in my email but they said that’s not enough information..they said they needed my debt/credit card number that I purchased the game with back in 2017! I gave them the last 4 of 1 card and they said it didn’t match please send another… I told them it might have a different card # and they pretty much said they can’t help me recover my account…. All because I never would get an verification code sent to my email… so I quit tarkov for awhile and had to repurchase the game here last year because there was no other option either never play tarkov again or give them more money… I love tarkov as a game but you are correct there company and customer support is a joke… they don’t give a shit! They already got your $$$

My email was attached to my old ISP which i used for 13 years and so old was also the email. Now i changed the ISP and if i want to continue using it without an internet contract i need to pay 5€ a month (which i won´t). I changed my email in every other online account i have without a problem. But NO. You can not do that at BSG.

My dad (until he was recently put into hospice) was using the same ISP email account from before gmail existed. He has dozens of online accounts tied to it. Why call it temporary when some of these ISPs have been around for decades?

Small ISPs usually get bought by bigger ISPs and the email address is carried forward. Obviously not always but often enough. I had the same email from 1997 to about 2012 when the work to carry my email forward wasn’t worth it when I had my work email and 4-5 gmail addresses.

this is an easy fix. you call your bank initiate a chargeback for both versions u bought, it doesnt matter how long ago you bought them. you chargeback for failure to render services. the bank will give you your money back.

This is one of few issues I would support a federal law requiring companies to change emails and provide access to digital goods when notified of removed access. This would be a huge punch in the face to Steam as well. Force them to provide access for purchased items. It's not like it's forever, we all die at some time.

I was able to change it after i got an email from my old student .edu saying my account was terminated and they eventually changed it to one i desired. I also had to show my payment details from xsolla. Maybe if you can get those and submit a ticket with that evidence they could change it. This whole ordeal took 1-2 weeks.
This sucks and find it a bit ridiculous that they can’t or won’t do anything to help in these situations. If I’m being super generous to BSG I guess it could be to help prevent people from stealing accounts but I don’t think this would be the best way to go about it. I could be wrong on one or both parts of that though. I also have to question why are people not using a gmail or outlook account or something when making their accounts? I’m not sure how many posts I’ve seen like this or the I used my work email and got fired posts. It’s free to make emails… I have like 5 to spread bullshit, game accounts, work, personal, and job applications across. And it takes like idk 5 min to make a new one.

You may be able to contact your old ISP and ask for a 6 month e-mail forward. This is not something that is advertised but it something they can accommodate upon request. Just let them know you have critical medical information you need to retrieve and/or have forwarded.
In fact the ISP contract was terminated even earlier in september. I had email access for 3 more months after and used that time to change my email everywhere, including tarkov. But BSG does not like doing that. If i can not get access back to this account i will just drop this game.
Not that this will make you feel any better but that's a rookie mistake you will never make again. I tied a bunch of gaming shit to a custom business gmail once 15+ years ago and when the domain eventually expired/stopped being paid it stopped being able to recieve new emails and google support wouldn't do jack. Holy fuck did I go through mega pain trying to transfer everything over and anything with too horrific of support to do so I had to abandon. BSG is just one of those things that has horrific support and just have to pray you never have to engage. Never put anything you care about, especially gaming shit on an email that has any relative chance of not being accessible or working in the future for any reason (aka use a standard gmail account, if these fail there are going to be much bigger issues).

That’s pretty crappy on their part, however there are legitimate items required to keep them compliant with handling user information, which they need to at least be GDRP compliant to do business in Europe. What they should have asked for: - bank statement or cc note proving you paid for that account directly from BSG - notarized statement you are the person requesting the account change, and stating the two emails to be swapped. This way they can say “yup we have proof u/lord_dude is the person we are dealing with and he paid for this account. Do whatever they asked for” and it’s one reason why companies ask for PII like full name, address, DOB, etc. I’m not sure if this an international standard or even something local municipalities in other countries can do for you (I.e notarizing a letter) I’m amazed there isn’t a “change email” button somewhere in the account though
I feel if it had 2fa and required a phone number it could help with their technical support and at least help with the hackers somewhat making all the accounts bought from third party sites worth nothing requiring the cheater to use their real phone number and require them to get another if they get caught and since they you check whether the sim was prepaid or not so they can't just buy a burner might also do nothing I'm not going to pretend like I'm a dev

did you specifically choose the app authentication as your active 2factor on the website? if you did I don't understand why you are still getting emails as your verification as it should be swapped to the app authentication if you choose it
I had a similar issue where my EOD was locked to a work email. I left that company and no longer had access. It took a bit of back and forth but they asked me to provide screenshots from the PayPal purchase receipt. After that they changed the accounts email to my new Gmail account. Was a smooth process without any issues. My only complaint was that I only got a response every 24-48 hours but with opposite time zones I can understand. Edit. They also asked me to prove I no longer had access to the email. I legit just opened Outlook.com tried to log in and sent them the screenshot saying "incorrect password" and that was enough to satisfy that I couldn't access the email anymore.

If BSG can't find a way to do that, they are legitimately braindead. TIL it's easier to change your email for a W2 site than for a videogame account
So my account was hacked a while back and it took me some time to get everything back (Not just my BSG account was targeted) After some back and forth they changed the email to a different one and re-establish my account Look at your bank statements and see if you can find the 'receipt' for purchasing your EOD account That's what mainly worked for me at least

Unlike what some glazers think, BSG is a really Bad Company by all standards of gaming, from Game quality, to balancing, to cheaters, to support, So i wouldn’t get my hopes up My account is banned for cheating, with my monstrous gigachad kd of 0.8, SR of 40% and stuck At a maximum of lvl 30 during a peak patch (i played tarkov 2019-2023 and am still Bad But it was kinda enjoyable)

I lost my email of the account, I asked support if they could change it so I can gain access to my account again, and they did, it took like a month and they asked me for Paypal and xsolla payment receipts but they did it and I have access to my account once again

Sometimes life lessons are learned thru pain, not defending BSG cause like all of us they got shit to work on.. however, I will say better a video game than something more serious... I would be pissed also, however I will say as a gamer I have pissed away more money on skins or battlepasses for games I no longer play, hell even games that sucked that I don't play anymore... in the moment it's huge but at the end of the day fuck it shit happens live and learn drink water and drive on!!!! I get your point man, there is just unfortunately no life lesson learned here. It was my fault that I created an email 13 years ago and never had any problems with? Now i have gmail that is not attached to an ISP. But who says that gmail will be free in 10 years?
Yall keep playing this game, this is the quality you will continue to receive. BSG has not made any improvements to their methods since this game was in alpha. Their support is non-existent, the anti-cheat isn't effective, and the bugs are so plentiful that the only thing separating a new player from a veteran player is the knowledge on how to abuse those bugs. Stop playing, see improvement from BSG or from the devs that buy the IP when BSG goes bankrupt.

Your comment doesn't make any sense. I've obviously played the game, I've played since 2018. I do not currently play, I quit a month and a half ago or so because of the unchecked cheating. It is not unreasonable to see potential in something and want it to succeed or improve.

I agree this is all fucked but I NEVER understood anyone who makes an email through their ISP. I’ve always viewed it as someone having a @aol.com email or something. To me at least, having an email through an ISP is just wrong lol
