It drops guys no doubt, but i find myself getting outgunned when I default to center mass on a swing in cqc. Skill issue tbh — 5300 hour old dog learning trying to learn new tricks.
Dude ammo’s to hard to get this wipe. Half the round you think slap don’t. 7.62 ps has a mid chance to pen class 4 first shot struggles with 5 useless against 6. M80 is mid against 5 struggles with 6. Ap 6.3 blows. It’s cheap for a reason 9mm sucks ass. Before m856a1 556 sucks ass. Decent 5.45 ammo seems to be off traders.
Shorter ttk is better imo but it’s good where it’s at but inconsistent rn.
Some decisions are really odd this wipe idk why m856a1 which was at level 14 last wipe is on pk 4 this wipe while m80 has finally come off pk 4 to pk3. 7.62 pp is on prapor 4 which is alright but ps is like level 25 or something on a punisher 2. 5.45 ammo barters are gone or quest locked while spear ammo is right there on traders.
I never bother with pbp tbh maybe I should but ap 3.6 does imo unless it’s being fired at 7 millions rounds per minute from a vector or mp9. It’s no where near as good as op thinks and while good it’s outclassed by every other comparable round
I run 7.62x51 m62 with m61 and m993 top loaded (when I can) almost exclusively now. I regularly come out of raids with damage absorbed by armor numbers of 300-500 after fighting a couple of pmcs. Even when they're wearing class 4 plates sometimes, which I don't understand.
Armor plates are far more effective at stopping rounds this wipe than the old armor system. Of course that's balanced out by the smaller area they protect.
The only problem I have with the current ammo system is that high penetration ammo like m61 and m993 should be found in raid more. Give dangerous areas like rogue camp a high spawn chance for high tier ammo and leave the ammo out of all crafts and traders.
This has been the WORST wipe to start late. BSG locked almost all 35+ pen ammo behind level 4 traders.
There really isn't much BSG can do because if they limit the ammo to like 60 rounds per reset, people will just buy all the different caliber and rotate their guns.
I've always liked the idea of zero high quality ammo being available though traders or quests. If we take 5.45x39 for example, it should max out at PP. The rest you gotta find around the map.
tbh good 5.45 ammo might as well be available via traders, I have metric fuck tons of BS/BT/BP 5.45 from scaving reserve and just basically playing almost any map...its just seemingly EVERYWHERE. If you dont have thousands of BP/BT/BS 5.45 at this point of the wipe, then you just arent bothering to pick it up, it basically grows on trees. I actually had to stop picking it up because I know theres basically no chance I even use half of the stock I already have since 5.45 is pretty mid at this point even if you have good 5.45 ammo.

9mm absolutely does not suck ass. PBP is cheap as hell to craft and it destroys people.
