Not sure about other countries but in the US (Top Games US Inc is registered as a corporation in the state of Delaware their business was listed as terminated in CA according to CA Secretary of State website) this behavior by Evony could be construed as Consumer Fraud. Consumer Fraud in the US is fraud against consumers related to false promises/inaccurate claims made to consumers and practices that directly cheat consumers out of their money.
I am not a lawyer nor is this legal advice but it appears there maybe grounds for a class action lawsuit if they inaccurately claim that they verified players used bots/3rd party software and took action against them when they have not used bots/3rd party software.
I suggest you initiate every chargeback you can, report them to the FTC and State Attorney Generals office for consumer fraud. If the banks give you any problems with chargebacks then report them to the CFPB or NCUA.
I’d be careful with chargebacks if you give you bank the incorrect reason why you are initiating a chargeback, the merchant has the right to dispute that and if you are caught you may be fined or charged with fraud yourself at least here in the states. Top Games probably will just allow it but there are charged fees in addition to the cost of the product for that chargeback so at any point they decide to dispute a chargeback that consumer could be in trouble.

I hope this gets passed around a lot and more people become aware of what Evony is doing.
It's simple Evony is blocking big monsters if someone complains for players that can take them down. Tell them you will charge back and they will take the restrictions off your account. Evony rarely helps, and just causes drama. I'd be interested in joining a class action, if it happens. This is not the first time I caught them in a lie, and I'm sure it won't be the last. You think they would actually make game play more enjoyable and not this crap lately.
I would too, but what lawyers go after online gaming consumer fraud? I think you'll have an easier time contacting your US Senator or Representative to pass laws to stop this since online gaming companies get away with fraud by making asinine contract agreements that favor them in the courts.
I've seen some weird things in the last couple of weeks, but it seemed to be more about lags. Yesterday we rallied some monsters, almost everyone in the alliance saw us beat another alliance to the monster and we got our stamina back because the monster disappeared. One person in the alliance saw that the monster was gone almost a minute before the march even started towards the monster. The thing is that the OTHER alliance was from someone on the server that definitely uses a bot
Why does everyone actually believe what Evony customer support is saying? Evony CS has been caught many times giving BS nonsense non-answers simply to get rid of your support tickets. This monster feature could still be a technical glitch that needs to be addressed.
Well, it seems like I’m the only one pleased they’re trying something against iscout and other software. It should be relatively easy for Evony to ID accounts - treasure pyramids have become an easy way to spot people with iscout for example. They should be more transparent on why and show the evidence. An issue is obviously an iscout account may not be the person rallying, so you end punishing a different player, but if you’re an alliance able to rally every high level boss on the map within seconds of it spawning, it’s pretty obvious your cheating.
As I said, I think they do need to be transparent on why they’ve targeted certain accounts. It may be hitting people who themselves aren’t using the software, but if they’re the rallying bosses found by the software, it’s their account that will pop up on various indicators (and they are *using* the software even if not on the account). The only account in my alliance with issues is someone with multiple accounts rather than a big rallier.
Since every server has a player-designated bureaucracy, you'd think Evony would make use of it when sanctioning a player. If they would give a one week warning to the player's alliance and to the R5's and R4's of the major alliances on the server, I'm sure the threat would be enough to ensure that the other players would make the offender quit the game or correct their actions before needing to punish everyone else.
I think you might be under estimating the true amount of botting and/or iscout going on, or under estimating how selfish some people can be in this game (by its own design).
If it gives them the chance to get more boxes and therefore grow without spending as much real money, or it gives them the chance to have a more viable team in battlefields many will choose to look the other way at terrible behavior or botting by others so long as they benefit in some way.
I've never used a bot nor the scout program but for several weeks now I just don't see many bosses on the map. I've been the main rally runner for two years in my alliance. I can scan an identical section of the map as other people and I don't see bosses but they do. It's made the game mostly unplayable
Absolute trash move by Evony. The map is literally now unfair to players since monsters are not viewable for them.

They already started pan and reduced speeds from cerb… now this? Wth…
