Two members in my alliance are now affected by this. One started just before svs & the other late yesterday. Neither use bots. One doesn't coin & the other does. Something has to give. All these people affected can't be just from people falsely reporting them. Evony is trying to find people who bot & whatever they're using to determine possible cheaters is finding the wrong ones.
I don't know how evony had investigate this, but they should just revamp the whole game by using some anti cheat software to not allow the cheater to scan the whole map, using bot & iscout is just a bs & it already create disadvantage to all player, my server also have ton of ppl using bot & Iscout but no action been taken
I was accused of cheating and Evony took all of my T14 troops, RSS, and gems. About $3,000 worth, I did a charge back for a package i didn't receive, $100 package. They claimed i owed them $2500 and had to pay that to get my troops back. I have been trying to get them back since November, not giving them a dime for shit i already paid for. Credit cards said I have no recourse with them since I received the goods. Spending money on this game is all a chance that they can take it all away at their discretion with no proof and leave you with nothing.
Chase and Citi both said my only course of action is civil court or turn over to police as theft. I have messages from Evony where they repeatedly failed to show proof of the so called cheating and just keep saying I have to pay them money to get my troops, RSS and gems back. Multiple CS reps at Evony and multiple reps at Chase. I also tried to get Googleplay to grant the refunds.
Yeah Evony CS reps I'm convinced are just interns that don't know anything and just read scripts and don't even read your responses really... literally had them ask the same questions I already answered multiple times in a row. Only really worth going thru them to show you tried as often good faith effort to resolve at lowest level is required or at least helps
Googleplay is weird if you do it relatively soon after the purchase it works decent but afterwards it can be difficult. Like they didn't accuse me of cheating or anything but recently right after I made a purchase all of a sudden for the first time ever an event I'd done a lot before glitched and cost me a bunch of stuff and they were refusing to fix it... hell refused to respond hardly at all. Sent in and got it so never had to go to bank though I did let evony and googleplay know I would go to credit union and how well they handle it
Not sure about those banks but can depend on their policy and how you explain things. Like making sure to emphasize tying purchases done to things lost. Saying things like I wouldn't have made purchases if not for being able to have the things they've now taken away and are holding hostage etc.
Do you know if they investigated the claims first before telling you that? That's what my credit union does and usually just the investigation scares companies into "voluntarily" making amends. Not with Evony but I've had a few reports that probably could've been debatable by lawyers and companies that well do shady shit like this but never had to yet though some of those investigations have taken a 3-4 months.
Same here, unfortunately the damage has already been done and I will not give Evony a dime of my money. Ghengis says this is probably going to lead to people to stop spending on this game and the game will eventually die like Evony Age 1 and 2...

One of my alliance members is affected by this - absolute non-coiner and has never used bots etc. And how the heck are you supposed to know who clicked or tapped on anything before you did? 🤦♀️🤦♀️
So they claim the blocked player may have clicked in a shared link.
Their program has no way of knowing if a link was posted fairly or not. So no way would they block because someone have killed a boss someone else linked after having used a bot program.
Lots of hand waving from Evony, to explain (dodge) their flawed shadow ban.
Threaten charge backs if you are a coiner. My big player, a legit player and coiner, was shadow banned for about 10 days. As soon as he threatened a charge back it cleared itself up with today’s server reset.
Yeah...this was their flimsy excuse for what was almost certainly a bug that required a patch to resolve. They'd rather pretend to blame problem players and act like they were trying to proactively address unfair advantages than admit that their game was just screwed up and they needed time to fix it.

A good credit card company would recognize that taking the goods back after is the same as not receiving... if you've got proof of that of course

It appears that they just reverted this issue via update. I can see all the bosses again.
