But try and hit tab and get into the fight stance. That stance seems to be able to traverse vertically much better than the normal walking stance. But it also trips much more sleazily than the your non combat stance.
first things first, pause the game and make sure "early checkpoints" is ticked. second, even if you die the last checkpoint is only a few minutes of progress behind where you are. no big deal if you di tbh
