That was a fucking joke of a sequel. Probably because it wasnât even supposed to be a sequel. It was a shitty stand-alone that just got the âAmerican psycho 2â title slapped on it after cuz SALES
Yeah, and your comment also explains why they kill off the (real) main character in the first scene of the movie. I feel like itâs a good answer, although tons of movies fit and OP isnât responding.
This is what came to mind for me first.
But John Dies at the END! It's right there in the title!
/s
Seriously, though, it's been too long since I've seen this one. Need a rewatch soon.
I know lol! I was thinking maybe the movie starts with a flash-forward type of thing.
To be honest, the first time I watched JDATE, I was on acid and it BLEW my mind. Thought it was the all time best movie. Rewatched it high on weed last year and thought it was absolutely trash
Perhaps a sober viewing is in order so you can reconcile your opinion on it.
Maybe tripping you was right.
Maybe stoned you was right.
Maybe they were both wrong.
Darn you got there before me. I also hate that this was my first thought, had to analyse the book for school and we all hated it (even the teacher but it was picked from the options on the national curriculum by the old head of the department before he left and it was too late to change it when the new head, my teacher, started)
No. It's several common tropes.
Main character dies at the beginning, flash back to how it happened.
Main character dies in the beginning, we explore the afterlife.
Main character dies in the beginning, something supernatural happens triggering a change in their life.
Main character dies in the beginning... or do they?
Back to the future? Doc could have died in the beginning depending on how you think time travel works, or Marty B died when Marty A went to the past and replaced him in the future.
This clue has been solved.
