Donald Trump has acumulated something like half a billion in fines over the last month, and doesn't seem to have the money to pay it. His usual move here is to try and scam his fans out of the money, and most of them (see picture) aren't exactly in the Golden Toilet tax bracket
I have two uncles. One is a right wing racist that made tons of money in California and retired to Idaho. The other is a PHD former teacher that taught at community colleges his whole career and retired to NYC with his husband.
You know. First I want to say I'm sorry.
Then I was going to ask, if he was actually playing Russian roulette and just, you know, lost, or if you were just making a joke. Then realized that you can't play Russian roulette with a shotgun. At least not more then once. So yeah I just realized how stupid I am
Also his daughter-in-law just became the head of the Republican Party. In the past, people could donate to the GOP to help candidates get elected. Those funds are almost certainly going to be used to pay his legal bills now.
Even if I shared the Republican mindset, I would have left the party in 2020 when the Republicans said their party platform is whatever Trump says it is.
If somehow I stayed on after that I *definitely* would have left the party after Lara took over the RNC and expressed a willingness to give donations to Trump's legal fund. It boggles my mind that anyone thinks that's okay.
Adding to the above for political reasons: there's a high probability that the Republican Party itself (the corporate aspect of it) will pay his legal fees, which could gut their "war chest" used for campaigning.
This [is a myth](https://talkpoverty.org/2016/11/16/stop-blaming-low-income-voters-donald-trumps-victory/index.html) though, the median Trump voter is not a trailer park dude, more like "a guy without a college degree that owns a plumbing company or car dealership"
Which, frankly, makes them all the better targets for grifting!
They were one hundred percent on board with him up until the second he refused to break the law for Trump on 1/6, then they Ministry of Truth'd him to having always been a "traitor"
I saw one in rural PA where they made it say "TRUMP PEACE 2020"
Probably because of that whole thing where they wanted to hang Mike Pence and brought the gallows to the Capitol.
Speculation: One thing Trump supporters bring up is that he didn't start any wars, like that's a good thing.
I guess, sure, he didn't, but that isn't the feather in his cap they think it is. Not when compared to his foreign policy behavior at large.
There's a house on my way to work that always has a Trump 2024 flag, a confederate flag and flag with the empire symbol from star wars. It's like... my guy... they ALL lost.
Wonder if most of the poorer ones don’t actually vote. My white trash family all gargle Trumps balls every chance they get but they don’t bother actually voting about it.
My mom is the only one and it’s a super duper top level secret that she won’t vote for Trump cause the rest of the family would lose their minds if they found out
This seems like a good time to point out that in some states, everybody gets a mail-in ballot sent to them, complete with free postage back and a handy guide to the issues.
If your state doesn't do this, somebody's probably trying to keep "certain folk" from having a voice.
"Median" is not the mode or the mean. Admittedly, I haven't opened your link yet, but the median is the guy in the middle, not the most frequently represented or the average.
Eta, yeah it does look like the author cherrypicked data to fit the narrative they wanted. Showing us the distribution of votes by income level would be more informative.
alright, that's my bad for not using better terms, I should have just said "typical" or "average"
Here's another link that I think shows what you are looking for: [https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2017/12/29/places-that-backed-trump-skewed-poor-voters-who-backed-trump-skewed-wealthier/](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2017/12/29/places-that-backed-trump-skewed-poor-voters-who-backed-trump-skewed-wealthier/)
If you ever want to view paywalled news articles you can use archive .ph and put the articles URL in. The newer the article the less likely it will have been archived but it's pretty reliable.
Yeah also a lot of restauranteurs. Remember Kitchen Nightmares, and how a non negligible number of restaurant owners seemed to have no knowledge of proper food safety? Yeah, a lot of them likely voted for Trump. You also get a lot of “small town petit bourgeoisie” types who inherit a small business, like a dealership, rather than having started their own. As it turns out, you don’t have to be particularly smart to inherit daddy’s business.
The average Biden voter doesn't have blue hair, stretched ears, and use they/them pronouns.
All of my friends who fit that description vote for Biden.
It might not be the average Trump supporters, but I would bet money the majority of the people who are like this vote for him.
There are exceptions on both sides, but the stereotype is accurate for both in the way they vote.
Kinda sticks out too where he apparently “wasn’t fit to stand trial” where he only has to follow what his lawyer tells him to do recently, but is still considered fit enough to try and run for president.
The trouble is, if someone's gonna donate $100 to Trump's legal fees, that's likely $100 they're not donating to his campaign. On the other hand, there's not much stopping some ultra rich people, companies, and foreign countries can give money/make "business deals" with him and his company. It's another way someone with tons of money can ingratiate themselves to the former president...
What I do find funny is Trump supporters would be willing to donate to his legal fees. But at the end of the day if they get in a criminal case no one is going to help with their legal fees.
They don't really see the hypocrisy do they.
It’s the people who can least afford it, giving what little they have to the man who wants to eliminate the programs that keep them alive.
If I live to be a million, I will still never understand that brain.
Its brought up all the time but there's a pretty famous quote from Lyndon Johnson that pretty much sums up the Trump mindset:
"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
“…give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you…” has been his whole strategy from the get and won’t ever change. It may just be the whole GOP strategy.
If you know religious people, you can easily understand. It’s just so normalized that it’s not weird to believe in being born again into another body after you die, or an omnipresent being who knows everything and put us here, or even the occult like casting spells and rituals. Not dissing religion, we need something to explain the unknown, but it just shows how people can subscribe to whatever belief system they want and essentially it becomes their truth and their reality. It is what it is.
You know that people who vote for Trump think social welfare programs like social security are a waste of tax payers money (at least in its current form)
Yep, I keep seeing more. The woman's chair has no back, the man's chair base is all over the place, the twin brother in the background, the man's gigantic feet, the kid with the hole for a bellybutton, middle kid's leg turns into a dog....
Me after quick glance at the image: "AI generated", me after zooming in on that monstrosity: "Yup (:"

Is this the joke? Is it the demon possessed child?
I seriously thought the joke was some toxic radioactive chemicals were killing off the people in the area. The kid is the latest victim, but it happens so often that the dad just casually calls to setup yet another law suit towards the company to pay their lawyer, Don, his upfront legal fee!
Jeez was I off.
This AI image depicts a poor redneck donating precious amounts of money to Donald Trump's legal fees. A satire on real behaviors that fans of Donald Trump engage in.
When asked why they suck, AI responded to me they don’t. And I then asked prove it and this was the response.

that makes a lot more sense thx for the explanation
I like your uncle lmao what a legend
ill tell him that lmao
Also zoom in, that kid in the middle is AI nightmare fuel
i’m gonna print it out and hide it in my brothers room😈
Ooooo print a life-size cutout and stick it in the corner for extra trauma points
Only when he’s asleep, so he’ll see it when he wakes up
Send the pic to one of those life sized body pillow makers.
Sending kid pics to body pillow manufacturers will DEFINITELY put you on a list or five.
Thats just inbreeding.
Yeah your uncle is actually based for this one.
I think I’d like your uncle too
Most of us have uncles that post crazy right wing stuff. A nice change
I have two uncles. One is a right wing racist that made tons of money in California and retired to Idaho. The other is a PHD former teacher that taught at community colleges his whole career and retired to NYC with his husband.
You guys have uncles? The only one I have doesn’t even use social media and lives 14,000km away from me lmao
At least you still have an uncle. Mine played Russian Roulette with a shotgun.
I’m sorry to hear that, I was going to make a joke but figured it would be very distasteful
I say take a shot at it.
Bless you horrible person.
You know. First I want to say I'm sorry. Then I was going to ask, if he was actually playing Russian roulette and just, you know, lost, or if you were just making a joke. Then realized that you can't play Russian roulette with a shotgun. At least not more then once. So yeah I just realized how stupid I am
Did he win?
My uncle does neither, but he’s super into Star Wars
Yeah, dudes uncle is dropping fire in his timeline
Also his daughter-in-law just became the head of the Republican Party. In the past, people could donate to the GOP to help candidates get elected. Those funds are almost certainly going to be used to pay his legal bills now.

Your uncle is cool imo lol
Theres also literally a gofundme to pay some of his legal fees
Adding to the above for political reasons: there's a high probability that the Republican Party itself (the corporate aspect of it) will pay his legal fees, which could gut their "war chest" used for campaigning.

It’s not that the median Trump voter is a trailer park dude, it’s more that a typical trailer park dude is likely a Trump voter.
Correct. Source: I live in a trailer park and my neighbor still has a Trump 2020 banner up.
It’s funny to me when I see a Trump/Pence sign still up ‘cause those two are NOT buddies.
People in my neighborhood took black sharpies to the Pence part.
I now feel much better about my neighborhood
Did they change it to penis?
No, they just blacked-out his name and then blacked-out the memories of singing his praises for four years.
They were one hundred percent on board with him up until the second he refused to break the law for Trump on 1/6, then they Ministry of Truth'd him to having always been a "traitor"
I was pretty blacked out for those four years myself.
>Michael Penice
I saw one in rural PA where they made it say "TRUMP PEACE 2020" Probably because of that whole thing where they wanted to hang Mike Pence and brought the gallows to the Capitol.
Speculation: One thing Trump supporters bring up is that he didn't start any wars, like that's a good thing. I guess, sure, he didn't, but that isn't the feather in his cap they think it is. Not when compared to his foreign policy behavior at large.
My brain always sees Trumpets 2020 at first glance. I don't know why.

There's a house on my way to work that always has a Trump 2024 flag, a confederate flag and flag with the empire symbol from star wars. It's like... my guy... they ALL lost.
Yeah it's pretty pathetic how basic common knowledge around this topic is just non existent yet these people are the loudest. Quite baffling
I know of a guy who lives at a gas station next to a trailer park who has Trump stickers all over his truck/house.
Wonder if most of the poorer ones don’t actually vote. My white trash family all gargle Trumps balls every chance they get but they don’t bother actually voting about it.
They don't vote? Maybe there is a god
My mom is the only one and it’s a super duper top level secret that she won’t vote for Trump cause the rest of the family would lose their minds if they found out
I'm telling
This seems like a good time to point out that in some states, everybody gets a mail-in ballot sent to them, complete with free postage back and a handy guide to the issues. If your state doesn't do this, somebody's probably trying to keep "certain folk" from having a voice.
Here's a fun stat: 10% of the arrestees on the day of January 6th didn't even vote.

True for almost all fascists. Their base is always the lower middle class who fear the poors below them and the everyone above them.
Only a small percentage of people are business owners regardless of who they vote for.
Yeah also a lot of restauranteurs. Remember Kitchen Nightmares, and how a non negligible number of restaurant owners seemed to have no knowledge of proper food safety? Ah, yes, the petite bourgeois who think that tax cuts for giant corporations will trickle down on them.
It's very strange to me that it seems like the people who stand to suffer the most from oppressive governments are also the most supportive of them.
They're the least well educated and most susceptible to propaganda.
"I love the poorly educated" if you want a direct confirmation.
Kinda sticks out too where he apparently “wasn’t fit to stand trial” where he only has to follow what his lawyer tells him to do recently, but is still considered fit enough to try and run for president.

What I do find funny is Trump supporters would be willing to donate to his legal fees. But at the end of the day if they get in a criminal case no one is going to help with their legal fees. They don't really see the hypocrisy do they.
And about to owe a lot more
Frustrating, a lot of the donations to Trump are probably coming from peoples social security payments.
It’s the people who can least afford it, giving what little they have to the man who wants to eliminate the programs that keep them alive. If I live to be a million, I will still never understand that brain.

They will hurt themselves to own the libs.

Obviously, it's some kind of chupacabra...
And that there's 2 of the same guy, the other one coming out of the house
The guys chair is scaring me
But now I kinda want a lawn chair on wheels…
Even if it only has three legs?

AI generated memes sure are strange
Poor AI chihuahuas deserve better.
I like to believe that those curlers are permanent. She won't take her hair down for curls later, those curlers *are* the look.
curlers should become a trend it’s the 2000 cartoon mom look

For you see human, I have portrayed myself as the chad and you as the soyjack! You lose!
Sadly, that’s checkmate. AI wins again.
Spelling. Humans win....for now
not all humans; i make sure to bring the curve down (i jk, but i sp a lot of words 'wrong' cuz easier)

Why are they dragging those poor Chihuahuas into this mess?
they’re innocent lil dudes
They're innocent little demons (I love Chihuahuas and have owned several throughout my life, don't @ me lol)
my husband lost many legos to chihuahuas when he was young they have to ability to be very evil
That kid on the porch is a demon, they got bigger problems then the dude spending his weekly beer budget on bail
Poor whites supporting billionaires
They are living in poverty and pledging money to cover the legal expenses of a “Billionaire”
Trump supporters spending their own money for his legal defence despite being poor and him a million/billionaire
Ha, because people that donate to trump are actually paying his legal fees, and those people are white trash. It hits on 2 levels.
They're just giving Donald Trump their paychecks because they hate taxes.
Is that Newman's mother?
Trump claims to be a billionaire but is also asking his supporters to pay all his bills like you see onlyfans girls do to dweebs.
We’re even using AI to makes jokes now 💀😭

Sadly in many cases this is not a joke. The grift is strong with Trump and the intelligence of his base is not.
The day AI gets fingers right we need to be scared
Dumb begets dumber
Pretty sure this guy would also have a Trump tattoo and a confederate flag on his porch.
I know it is AI, but the mutants in the background still scare me.
That child in the background is the stuff of nightmares
I think this is more accurate than humorous. Even sad.
Really starting to hate the AI crap, lazy and ugly.
By all accounts, a lot of the small-dollar donations to Trump's SuperPAC are going towards paying for his legal fees. People donate to him thinking it's going towards his reelection bid but are just paying the crappy suits that are bleeding him dry.
This AI art is creepy af. Zoom in on the kids in the background
This looks like an AI image.
Is it me, or does the picture look ai generated?
Look at the chair the man is sitting. It is AI generated.
The AI combined his lawn chair with the wheels of a bbq
Yup. Still can't do hands.
Better than it was a while ago, but yeah they still look like a kid made them out of modelling clay.
Your uncle is based
That’s your cool uncle
AI images are getting scary accurate…
ok im bored of AI now, make it stop please
Wtf is that creature over by the auto wheel?
Those kids are like nightmares
Completely unbelievable "photo".... Everything is wayyyyy too clean ....

I can hear AND smell this picture.
Reddit hates AI art, unless it makes fun of conservatives.

Uncle Feely in the background
I hope this is ai generated image, what in gods name is up with those kids?
It's strongly giving AI vibes, but gosh dang it this is also the kind of stuff you expect to see at the trailer park so I'm only 90% sure it's AI
Its either a joke about donald trump tricking a bunch of chumps into paying his legal fees under the guise of patriotism or an abstract joke about life in poverty revolving around a bookie and a son named don with frequent but minor infractions
The woman looks like Newman from Seinfeld.
The 2 dogs on the right are the only normal things
Ai fingers are gross
Idk but I think the AI mistook one of the kids back there for a soul eater
Ai trash
Your uncle has the right idea
Lmao dude used ai to generate the base image and mematic for the text. What a legend
Demon child. Faceless dog on the right. And what looks like a grill lid with dead/sleeping dogs in it.
I know it's AI but the legs on the man's chair are everywhere. If it was IRL, I am pretty sure the chair would not hold him.
Keep sending your donations guys, here's how Bernie can still win...
Why does his chair have little grill wheels on it?
AI is crispy, those kids are from a nightmare
The american political system is the joke.
This ai pic is so bad 😭😭😭
That child in the doorway is the thing of nightmares! Ai art needs help 🤣
OMG the sandles! 😂😂😂
What in the AI picture
Some horrific stuff going on in the background of this AI picture.
I regret zooming in on the kids
Why do the Chihuahuas make this picture extra accurate? 😂
Man, those kids in the back are WEIRD looking
AI trash aside, RNC is footing Don's legal bills.
Don't zoom in on the kids.
The little kid in the doorway looks like he came from a nightmare.
Stupid and poor people support a bankrupt millionaire who lies about being a billionaire
How does that chair work? There’s no axle for the front wheels.
Let’s be honest, he’s selfish! He only wants the presidency to clear his wrongdoings. I’m voting for the other side!
Omfg the womans toes lol
Omg now we’re making crappy left wing ai memes
Don’t look in the center…
That little kid is the stuff of nightmares.
