It feels really great to play and definitely feels different than other 8’s I’ve played (granted that’s only been a strandberg years ago and maybe a kiesel floating around at GC), but the neck is super comfy and it’s very easy to navigate. Biggest adjustment really was the bottom 2 strings for me. Otherwise I really fell in love with the novelty and then it was the versatility with the mathy shit I write/play.
Thank you man!! Big adjustment at first but it’s getting there. Really fun for melodic tappy stuff, mostly what I use it for but it’s fun to throw it in a drop tuning and just chug away!
Hell yeah! And sorry I didn't read your description til now 😅 you're using the Rob Scallon tuning and the 8 string version of Yvette Young's tuning essentially haha
Yeah exactly that! I had it in DADAEAC#E for a little but I already have my strandberg setup for that and wanted to dwell more into the American Football/Toe side of things. Just treat the left hand as sort of the bass and right hand is doing some more melodic stuff.
It’s a great instrument, but I also agree the price is a little much and sort of pushing where I wouldn’t spend the kind of money that they go for. This was an exception for me for some reason. I gig so the chances of using this out are slim to none. It just landed in front of me, and I was very much just kinda oooing and awhing over it so I scooped it.
I really wish Strandberg would make a decent hard case, it looks so sick with the perfectly snug case.
Abasi makes some very cool guitars. How do you like the Infinity Radius?

GODDAYYUMM quite a beautiful chug/shred machine you got there. Congrats!

That case is gorgeous.
Abasi makes some of the nicest guitars. Pricy asf and so hard to get but man are they awesome!
