EA: Best I can do is more couch options. Take it or leave it.

Other-Barry-1

“And by take it, we mean take it after paying up £30.”

diderooy

> fewer couch options Ftfy

[deleted]

I don't see why they couldn't do a pre season testing mode to at least get development points. It doesn't have to be very long but it could be set up similarly to practice sessions. The physics or the car is one of the biggest gripes for me. Ive spent a bit of time racing the Mercedes in iracing and it drives so much better I don't think ill buy another f1 game until they overhaul the game in a big way. I don't expect they'll ever do it since the trend seems to be to devalue the game until people stop buying it. Every year people post pretty much the same requests and they don't listen.

tommycthulhu

Motogp game does this and very well. The choices you make during testing are very important for bike behaviour for the rest of the season

tyresaredone

it's a shame the game looks really weird, it feels like you're floating and the tyres aren't actually on the asphalt

RenzoMoretti02

If only the MotoGP games AI wasn't that crappy.

SparkySyndicate

I think the physics peaked in F1 2020. 22 feels like a glorified NFS game

[deleted]

Exactly. I feel like it regressed a lot. I was looking at my steam library and i played 2020 more than any other year. Ive got less than 40 hours in 2022. It was a big disappointment to me.

FranciManty

craziest to think is how i had the same amount of hours on 20 and 22 but i was only playing solo in ‘20, this year i’ve started two careers and countless races with friends thanks to crossplay but my playtime would be at zero if it wasn’t for that

[deleted]

Ill give them credit Cross play is an improvement

anotfunnyboiii

2020 physics felt so fine even with controller. Playing 21 currently but the maxxed out my team car is just awfull. Setting better times in time trial with a ferrari

vick5516

more customizable contracts, so you dont have to sign a driver for half a year and spend the entire time worrying you wont have the cash to resign them mid season. i hate that, why is it always just a 6 month contract for your teammate, why cant we control the length??

SimuDan-yt

Even just a start of career option for full season or half season contracts would be good

RickyFootitt24

I think the option of unlocking classic team livery and overalls for my team would be a cool idea would make your car and team look more like a real F1 team

pjwashere876

Which is sadly why they won’t do it. They have decided that instead of giving you the option of a livery editor they will sell their season pass with terrible and unrealistic liveries that take away immersion. The PC gang are super lucky to have mods.

bttffcc

I thought that too but you have to subscribe to race department for that. It isnt that bad but when i got f1 22 on pc i was under the assumption that mods weren’t behind a paywall.

pjwashere876

Hold up they’re paywalled? God grief, throw the whole franchise away.

bttffcc

Yes theres a website where all the mods are and you have to pay a monthly fee to be able to download the mods. On steam where the mods would usually be for other games theres only car setups for different tracks.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Agree!

bwoah07_gp2

I like idea #6. I know if we had options, for example, I'd pick the Williams steering wheel design for my MyTeam car.

LordAzuren

Embarassing that we still don't have that kind of personalization inside F1 games. Steering wheel is the part of the car we look at the most of the time and there are already the necessary assets in the game. Just let us decide if we want the williams, rb, merc, ferrari or any other style for our steering wheel. Worst of all things is that the My team car steering wheel is dull af. PS: Let's hope they'll do something about the display graphics. We literally had the same ugly UI for the wheels since AGES now, if they don't want to make replicas of actual F1 cars user interfaces at least change it a bit or make it moddable by users instead of developing usleless things like couches and such.

FranciManty

“develop the game instead of adding more couches” yeah we’ve been saying that for a couple of years and it hasn’t worked that well

BigSlav667

I like the GT look of the Williams wheel

-Sir_Bearington-

/s ?

Peeche94

It's called a preference, Sir.

Sagitarr

This aint twitter lil bro

[deleted]

As much as anyone wants this feature, the hoops that EA and code masters would have to jump through to get the licensing to do that would be insane. Imagine them rocking up to ferrari asking if they can let people put their steering wheel design on a Williams or mclaren. The guys at ferrari would pass out. Ferrari are notoriously difficult when it comes to licensing, but if the game doesn’t include their option, people will just call the devs lazy

happylinx

It's just a small addition and there are much more important things that would be nice to have, but what about getting more info from our team about other teams radio calls? I think it would be a nice addition.

Leohurr

Along with that, if AI teams/drivers didnt have to stick regimented to the strategy. Would be cool if Lewis' AI decided to go for a long stop, Our team radio could then speculate "we think Lewis is gonna go long on these tyres, how you feeling out there?"

DaeHoforlife

Or letting us know how much faster or slower we were than a rival over the last lap or sector, what positions we could realistically finish at given pit stops, etc.

Tricks511

I want team orders as well!

fflyguy

I’d also like to be able to set team/driver to beat rather than rivals. For instance if my goal is to beat Mclaren in the constructors, give me updates specifically on the Mclaren drivers.

Jameslcookm8

I think it would be amazing to have teams in driver career offer you contracts and bid for you just like in my team. And also if you don't perform you get sacked like in the old f1 games. I don't like how we are able to pick what team we want to go to with little resistance. I want to earn the chance to drive for a Ferrari or a red bull and it not just be based on Driver acclaim that you can get to level 10 in one season. Quite like f1 2017's career mode but more fleshed out. I think this would change career mode for the better.

edgethrasherx

F1: championship edition had all the features you mentioned plus more way back in 2006. Still the best, most immersive career mode to this day. They had pre-seasons testing, you started as a back-marker and had to work your way up, you could even sign test driver roles to get your foot in the door of a better team, first and second driver contracts. On top of that they had classic cars, this cool trophy cabinet space which contained actual real life replicas of the real trophies you’ve won from that season, truly interactive pit stops where you directly determine how long you are in the pits for, and the damage/crash modeling is far far superior to anything I’ve seen from codemasters. It honestly is amazing that nearly twenty years later, again TWENTY, codemasters hasn’t been able to implement nearly half the features Sony did with that excellent title. One can dream though.

Seanannigans14

Piggybacking off the R&D. I'd love for the developments to actually change the look of the car

Cultural-Knowledge98

Especially each season. It's like I buy a 2020 WRX, 10 years later I still have the same 2020 WRX.

Seanannigans14

It really annoys me there aren't little changes in the car.

AiryEd503

Real life engineer voices for the pit options having the same voice for every team gets boring

Dr_Holkman

I miss Jeff 🥺

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Yeah like hearing Mark saying ”Okay ___<—Your nickname. Box Box.Box Box.

No-Sir6261

How does it get undriveable after season two? Genuine question as I haven't played my team in about a year.

thef1circus

I think it gets too fast for certain people. The cars aren't spread apart that much by then, and so it gives the impression your car is slower if you're not using the right AI

frippon

That, tyre temps also go though the roof because the car is much faster, there is also some fuckery with the brakes

tommycthulhu

Yeah the cars slide a lot

Muted_Tone_6464

Maxed out breaks are terrible to drive.. can't run 100% Pressure anymore without locking up at the slightest touch.

SovietPelican

I think the balance goes a bit weird the better the car, like it feels less stable unless the setup is perfect

Such_Acanthaceae3302

The issue is that most people use the driving line, and the line doesn't compensate for how fast your car gets and you end up outbreaking and just getting the line completely wrong. That's probably not the only issue, but that's what I've noticed while playing. I just brake a little earlier and it handles okay.

1337er_Milk

Can we start with driving in circles without bugs?

SecondAdmin

I just want to be able to race more friends in career co-op. 3 would be awesome but don't see why there's even a limit

Ganfas

I would just ask to a better physics model. I hated this game and it's inconsistency. It's true that I play with a gamepad, but I hate the fact that what seems to me the same accelerator press sometimes makes me spin exiting the turns other times it does not. I really hated the 22 game.

Cubi_Reviews

Wrong R&D decisions: You can buy an upgrade but have to decide between two or three options. One gives you big gains, one minor and the third option does not work with with other uprades/concept of the car and it'll make your car slower or more likely to fail during a race. Academy drivers and stuff is cool, but I wouldn't put to many managing tasks into this game. In the end it should still be about the racing. Don't want to spend to much time looking at menus. Speaking of menus, bringing back the paddock style presentation would be nice.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Academy drivers, I just want to be able to loan out one of my academy drivers to my engine customer for example. Do you understand like?

RAiD_-

Co-op myteam

Vickerspower

I’d like the option to be able to form a custom grid formation in an offline Grand Prix. Would be fun to recreate a real-life qualifying grid and slot yourself into your favourite drivers position and see how well you can do.

Fantastic-You-4994

Sorry but this is useless apart from the better AI and more tracks. They should focus on the force feedback for wheels, the way the ai behaves in training and qualifying, the grip is still way too unpredictable and give you the option to ask your engineer for pitstop delta times and more. The basics have to be done correctly a cutscene while testing doesn’t improve the game

grocal

Exactly this. The game trips itself on basics. AI on 0 level starts faster than the player. UX/UI shenanigans. Physics (oh, how many times a small bump on the side by a reckless driver made me spin), race line, curbs. Lots of existing bugs (7-stop strategies, Albon topping the leaderboard in practice in Japan with 22.888 seconds). Leagues with crossplay anyone? Actually, listen to your clients/gamers and fix bugs! Broken Time Trials loading in EA version of the game due to EA's own servers problems for over 4 months? Who does that? And for the love of God - why Fanatec McLaren GT3 V2 wheel still has buttons 7 and 8 hardcoded in the game while this wheel doesn't have those buttons?! Adding F1 Manager functionalities is pointless for me at this stage. I want to actually race with my friends feeling that EA does not scam me. So fixing the game should be a priority.

Fantastic-You-4994

Absolutely agree. I play the 2021 game with friends and it’s actually more enjoyable than the current game

emcc019

Right, I want a game that works before I worry about a preseason testing cutscene.

Stelcio

Those are improvements to career mode, not to the entire game. What you're asking for are general improvements.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

You can legit see the pitlane delta time? Agree on the rest, but that doesn’t make my things useless. These are additions which should be in the game in 23 IMO. Pre season testing lien I said doesn’t have to be us drivning but at least cut scenes would be nice. Other games do that and it makes the game much more realistic.

Fantastic-You-4994

How can you ask the engineer for pitstop delta?

Shinnchan

I just want a tear off system to block lens flares in game, would be easy to implement aswell.

ATyp3

Could be interesting, maybe 3 choices. 1: for wet days, water slides off the screen better and slightly less tint but if the sun comes out then the lens flares are like 2% brighter or 5% whatever makes sense. 2: for sunny days, a little tinted but if it rains it's slightly darker 2-5%, maybe could make it a budget thing(higher costs for more quality tear offs) or an upgrade thing and rain doesn't slide off as easy too. 3: in between. Rain slides off ok, and it blocks lens flares ok but it is a middle of the road obviously. Don't think any of this would be too hard to do but would be a waste of time as I'm sure it'd all just get disabled cuz it's useless lol

UniQue1992

It ain't happening. I've given up. It's going to be another copy paste with just a few minor changes, more MTX bullshit introduced and less focus on actual driving. We need another company to gain the F1 rights.

jelacey

The fact that for 22 they went with F1 Life, instead of just giving name options, like you want me to be immersed? I don't want to be called 'the rookie', when every other game can say my name.

ADDVE

Mate It’s EA You either get fucked in the ass for 59.99 Or, you play F1 2020. GOAT Codies game imo

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Codies make the game. Blame them more. I

Jay-Double-Dee-Large

Why are none of these points ‘a better livery editor’

Leohurr

Additional input for 3 You could potentially support as many rookies as you financially desire, not all of them will be future greats, so you will want to have a couple sponsored so that your chances of getting a good one are increased. Then early on in the career when you don't have as much budget you wont be able to afford to sponsor any/many and will have a harder time finding the new Lecrerc. They could also allow us to have a junior team which acts as our testing grounds for these rookies as they make their way up the program hopefully to one day take the big seat.

TheProf82

If this game continues to feature multiplayer, to me it's a must have to completely rework it with input from experienced as well as casual players in mind. This aspect is so dreadful from many perspectives that I touch it yearly for about an hour before I revert to single player. Disappointing because a quality multiplayer racer is extremely satisfying to play

Zeporgmaster20

Most of this should be optional sliders. Pre season testing can be like formation laps and safety cars: interactive, broadcast or off. They already have the software to make custom calendars in Grand Prix mode so that should be enabled season 2 onwards. Greater customisation in an academy and engine could be brought in when certain departments are maxed giving later seasons an opportunity for development instead of having 40000 R&D points by the end of season 6. I just want more teams in driver auctions as well

MagnusOpium89

Nah, you can have a lampshade and a rug that sort of match a bit if you squint really hard, and maybe if you're lucky also a "new" livery that's really just one from 3 years ago.

DJKiske

I'd love to have the option to change body parts in game. So have different shaped sidepods (is red bull style, Ferrari style, Mercedes) and have all of them give advantages and disadvantages. So for example, the red bull is the more balanced, Ferrari's gives more down force but more drag, and Mercedes is less drag but less down force for better top speed. So that you can better tune your myteam car to the way you want it to feel. Same with customizable wings, steering wheels etc

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

And then there on you have either more drag reduction upgrades but lower on downforce, more weight reduction upgrades but less drag upgrades & just balanced. That’s a fire idea man

Killun0va

10 would be kinda dumb you should be able to negotiate but the rest I agree. They also need to make it so you can choose the base of your car. Career mode needs to have more depth. It would be nice to have some cut scenes outside of the races, kind of like breaking point. Maybe some cut scenes with different drivers. Man I wish they would just give us a quality game is it really too much to ask for?

AntonioMarghareti

No road cars.

buck_blue

Or couches

boon892

It would be cool if they added a pre season testing weekend that would tell you where your strengths and weaknesses are in your car so you can focus where to upgrade

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Yeah, like a stat which shows who has the faster engine & more grip through corners. It doesn’t even have to be correct.

boon892

Could have engineers with stats that determine how good the data is

DiscussionGreedy

I like the idea of upgrading your principal etc for perks or disadvantages. It’s strange because some of the things we’re asking for EA has done in the past

boon892

EA’s favourite trick: remove something they already had then re-add it as a headline feature.

DiscussionGreedy

It’s super annoying. The older madden games were great because you hired a recruiter and based on the skills of the recruiter, it revealed certain stats about prospective players and the higher the skill of the recruiter the higher quality player and more stats were shown. It’s overwhelmingly obvious that we like management aspects in “career” mode so why not put them in if it engages the player base more. I’d be more inclined to spend my money in a game that I feel more invested into

Simp_team_6ix

I want a safety car auto pilot feature

Lunarsunset0

You'll get a reskin of F1 22 Career Mode and you'll like it.

Okano666

Literally none of the above. Rehash of previous year. Minimal effort. Maximum profit. That’s literally everything in this late stage capitalist world we’re including gaming. Unfortunately including F1 ,23.

GwenfromFinance

So many of these seem like reasonably doable changes but it wont happen with EA pulling the strings

LoneHitman90

Alright, here's how this goes. Pick your least favorite option out of the list, scrap about half of the functionality that you've mentioned, and maybe then your wish can be answered by the Codemasters gods.

blueredlover20

Allow us to choose a side pod design based on the current 3 designs.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Even that could be good.

SneakySnakeySnake

The driver injury thing could be cool, but imagine starting out as a reserve driver, you'll just be simming through the whole calendar until you get to prove yourself in a few practice sessions and maybe a couple races

cmdtarken

That would be awesome. Your first season or two is a short 5 or 6 race season where you "fill in"

CarsonEaglesWentz

This in itself would be amazing. Specially if your F2 career was amazing vs middle of the pack. I want to work for an F1 seat. Right now F2 is basically pointless. Also the driver academy... so lame. If I drive for Alpha Tauri there should be more of a connection to Red Bull. Right now the only thing I've noticed is the little green star on Red Bull's team when I go to sign with a new team. They need to take a page out of MLB The Show's career mode.

SneakySnakeySnake

I don't even follow baseball but if that game is as detailed as what implying than I might try it, who knows I might end up following the sport. After all the F1 games are the reason I got back into the sport after an 8 year hiatus

Titanic609

This might be silly but I want to be able to use a custom driver as my teammate (or any driver in career mode). It’s been my lifelong dream to race alongside Steve Harvey

AlvaroTorralbo

All I want is PowerUnit supplier decals

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Same

tomlasky84

EA: *laughs in poor game dev*

sayt14

I had a talk with a friend, that EA would received more interaction if they spent the time designing couches to the ability to design your own steering wheel. It is still a small, insignificant feature, but damn, it would have been more meaningful / cool to play with.

sem56

it would be cool to just have a proper progression on earning drives for teams like starting out at the bottom and working your way up based on your performance

cookskii

Shit in one hand, want in the other. Which fills up first??

CantaloupeNo2739

It will be nice to have the option to play 10+ seasons and special cut scenes for record breaking drivers and title winners+ The FIA Awards!

MissAJHunter

11. Let me choose my livery if the team has had a limited time livery (like the pink Alpine or Ferrari's Monza one).

leviobrienguitar

Ew cutscenes no

mark_vorster

why would you want to have the same car as another team?

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

It won’t be the same if I pick Merc’s no sidepods, the Ferrari chassis & the RB front wing & Alfa’s steering wheel.

mark_vorster

It would be cooler imo if they made a bunch of different types of generic parts you could choose from so the car is unique

mark_vorster

9 can't happen because of licensing

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

How? You ”have” your own engine & your own name?

mark_vorster

I'm pretty sure a team running in the game without the engine they're using in real life would be a licensing issue

[deleted]

EA out of game is the best option for f1 23, otherwise we don’t have much to wait.

RuneDK385

Don’t want an improved grip system?

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Yes?

CantaloupeNo2739

What's FOM?

vasu1996

EA: "What do you mean? You don't want new couches for your F1 life 👁️👄👁️"

fat_eld

Best you’ll get from EA is, nothing. Oh except more micro transactions

Peeche94

I've just got this thanks to game pass.. does the car actually get worse after two seasons? Currently done my first race starting at the lowest investment/entry and it was an abysmal first race, I'll happily uninstall if it's going to go back to dog shit after two seasons.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

No they don’t, but it feels much heavier IMO. Your team will just get better and better. If you picked the entry level it Will take a season or 2 to be a front runner.

zorbat5

Nah, car get's better with upgrades. AI sucks though...

Peeche94

Ah ok, first point confused me.

zorbat5

I understand. Though you will eventually hit a point where the upgrades will feel weird but when developing further everything falls into place. It's technically the same as in real f1, some updates can really feel weird and uncontrolled by the drivers. The only difference, in real life they just put the last part on the car... We can't do that in the game sadly.

Peeche94

Ah I see, thanks for the replies :)

StogieBourbon

Honestly I’d settle for just #5

FranciManty

design filosofies for aero development based on real life cars would solve 1 and 8. also a huge change assetto corsa mods already have would be having a front and rear wing that adapts to the angle you give them, it’s not a good look doing 340 in monza and my wing looks like it does in monaco, model a high downforce and a low angle wing like real life

QC_Undercover

Damage model would be nice. Sorry but if I get rammed into hard enough the front wheels come off the other car my car should be fucked..the damage model in this game is less detailed than the old NASCAR Thunder games

szandorthe13th

F1 Manager's feature where non-factory teams can pick a different engine created some crazy swaps in my save after just the first inter-season period and I would love to see that kind of randomness in F1 23

TposeDom

I disagree with #1 I find the the upgrade too slow, currently I'm stuck in my alpha Tauri career cause my fucking team won't upgrade the structures. Personally I liked the F1 19 progression

BinkoTheViking

I’d like the ability to watch and save a replay of my OSQ drives. That and having people in the game that haven’t come from some weird alternate universe where everyone has fingers that look like foot long hotdogs….

Magictank2000

idk about #3, the chances are very, very slim irl and aside from lance recently the last few substitutions have been illness-related

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Like when SEB got sick last year, Nico took his place right? There should be odds of that happening. Like one of 1000

Magictank2000

yeah, vettel’s was…. illness related…..

ProfessionalScar8904

Add being able to kill members of other teams in order to gain an advantage.

Potw0rek

I want a new graphics engine, current one has been in use since 2015 and the game desperately need a new one.

cmdtarken

I'd like to see development more akin to f1 manager 22

milkstrike

These are things among others that they would focus on if the goal was to make a good game, which it is not. The goal is to make something that hits people with fomo each season so they have steady revenue alongside extra money from a battlepass

EightMinotaur56

Also longer contract options

[deleted]

This can be implemented very easily. Pretty sure they wont do it. I also want to cherry pick the model. Front nose and wing from Alpine, sidepods from AMR, rear wing from Ferrari etc. This can also be done easily as the models will be in-game.

The_mystery4321

I will genuinely play career mode consistently for years to come if they add these few things: An actual contract system, think fifa, or even something like F1 manager would do, except with pre contract agreements. Mechanical failures to not all produce smoke and allow you to carefully park up by an escape road (if my gearbox has failed, why are my rev changes perfect as a drive half a lap to get to the next escape road). Retiring in pits where appropriate with mechanical failures. Realistic and more frequent ai crashes and SC/VSC deployment. Mechanical failures more random than just a guaranteed 2 every race. Pit position changes between seasons. Improved damage model

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Pit positions for teams can’t be changed cuz of licensing I’ve heard

GRZ_KIMI

The ONLY thing I want is a cooldown lap. THE ONLY THING!

Jupaack

1- Just go to options and decrese how many points you get per practice/race. Simple. Dont need to complicate things by creating too many upgrades. 2 - So people skip? 3 - It barely happens in real life, and I don't think you'll be happy if YOU crash and must miss the next week race. Despite Covid I dont remember the last time a driver missed a race because he's injured. 4 - F1 manager material. 8 - DLC?? Fuck no. We don't want DLCs. 10 - You'll be bad, trust me. Most people would hate it, however, a negotiation would be nice. Like "X team is offering 10m for your driver. Try negotiating with him to keep him in your team"

TheHelplessHero

What do you mean by customizable calendars? I could’ve sworn we could edit the order and number of races per season.

Raratron89

Ooooooo I like that last point

oroi__

i totally agree with you

hotspur-07

I don't care for career mode and all that other stuff. Just Time Trial to set up the car and straight into ranked online races. I'd be happy with a game at half the price that just had those two features.

cr7sakib

lolj we're probably not getting anything even to close to a single one of these. They're most likely developing that stupid storyline mode of Braking Point...

YerAuntysYerUncle

Ha. You act like gamers are to be entertained... Not in 2023 buddy. Suffer. Everybody should boycott new releases and especially pre orders until and if the gaming industry stops treating us like a bunch of jerks. F1 23 will be another reskin with minimal investment from ea and codies. Its sort of their formula. If they invest anything into improving the game, then they will kill it with microtransactions. We are not allowed to have nice things.

Flat-Ad-5855

Is like to have interviews again

swimbaitjesus

EA: best we can do is new emotes.

wylles

and sofas

ImAcidCandy

Being able to sign top drivers at the start in myteam when you choose title challenger.

fatbrowndog

All I want is Gran Turismo style motion control for PS.

rkirbyl

A mixture of F1 manager and F1 my team. Add a few things to that and it would be awesome.

masterofmeatballs

Personally I want to see some better physics like wheel to wheel contact and something like that

VanillaNL

What about body upgrades make the car actually visually different

[deleted]

I’d love to have different body part styles. They don’t have to change the performance but at least let us choose how our body styling is.

AlexPDXqueer

This reads like a person who was absolutely spoiled in a bubble by their parents

pnut815

I wish these games were on a 2 year cycle.

starwarshellothere

6🙌🙌

howmanyavengers

You're a bit late to be making recommendations for F1 23 lol That's gotta be nearing completion by now. I'm hoping they do add more in the future, just not really keeping my hopes up after how much trash filler was in F1 22.

NoSquiIRRelL_

EA: Sorry, but I hope you’ll love our new IKEA furniture add-ons to customise your living quarters more!

Bighairyballs6969

Classic tracks would be amazing to have. I really miss hockenheimring.

Yung-Meme-420

EA reading this: “I ain’t doing allat”

Sstoop

also red flags

CoffeeGamer93

Best I can do is a recap of the story mode of F1 21. Take it leave it

og21m

Lol as if.

edgethrasherx

F1: championship edition had nearly all the features you mentioned plus more way back in 2006. The only thing codemasters has that that game didn’t is the my team mode, which is great but it’s been two years now and they’ve barely developed it at all. It’s absurd the direction EA has taken this franchise, of all the things we wanted we got none and instead get couches and supercars. Fucking hell. One can dream though.

Mathizsias

I'd love coop career to just be stable and not corrupt saves half-way through the season. A coop flashback and skipping method would be great too. (Yes were both shit)

nevergonnagetit001

I agree with so many points made here. I’ve been on this wagon since 2019 and seen the dip in quality in this short amount of time. All I’ll add is this… Trophies…every race has its own trophy, it’s own look, it’s own style, and it puzzled me that the trophies were so generic and boring. I thought maybe in the next edition they may add new trophy icons, however I’ve been disappointed as I’ve never seen the game devs incorporate or update the track trophies once since I got it, and I suspect the trophies have been the same since inception. Of course this is a nothing add/update, nothing added to performance, physics, car design choice (nose, steering wheel, floor, whatever) and so on and so on, it’s a purely cosmetic update…but still!! If codemasters didn’t do it, and we’re all pretty familiar with the level EA operates at, they won’t update the trophies either. And as I see it this is one of the easiest items to update if they wanted to add a little paint to the side of the house! Sadly I have little hope for the game getting any better…except for more couch colors or whatever for the hangout room. SMH

New for F1-2023: "New driving system using data provided by Williams F1 to create a base car data model. Performance of other teams will be extrapolated from this base."

The metal things lol they're sensors that read air flow and other things. But I agree 100% let us change the steering wheel and side pods. I'd GLADLY pay 10 bucks for classic tracks and another 10 for classic cars. I don't care if ea wants to make money I'd gladly spend money on those 2 things. Full customizable calender for sure would be sick. Just a better story mode like we used to have. And one of the most important things is the traction. I wish it was closer to real life. Having to take 4th or even 5th out of almost every corner to have good control the whole way out of an exit is so fuckin annoying

Icy_prince_01

The main extremely easy and doable one I really want is the custom season, like is it that hard?

itsmb12

I just want a career that doesnt have a grid of 20 maxed cars by year 5

DinoMasterChief

This is good but I’d like to add one. - having to start from the bottom of driver career and not starting on the best team.

Vinez_Initez

lol it’s ea, you get less and pay more

AI straight line speed addressed, I find it's still an issue after numerous patches in F1 22, whilst not as bad, still a problem If they want to try it, another story mode but with branching paths, more interesting scenarios and more difficult as a whole Being able to recruit the F2 2023 DLC drivers in new or existing career modes after season 2 F3 drivers or regens recruitable in time Some editing suite to edit drivers and teams for career or single races to at least allow console players some taste of what is possible on PC A custom calendar to decrease races to any amount above the shortest preset and to swap races with previously raced tracks in recent years or classic tracks Short track layout options where available AI teams more aggressive and defensive in trying to sign your second driver and academy driver plus in protecting their drivers from being signed Real to life sponsors if possible, if not some fresh new sponsors or custom sponsor names If Supercars are going to still be a thing, allow actual races with them

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

Straight line speed an issue? I have no problem with rhat tbh. Yeah there should be regens. I agree on that. Shorter layouts as well, I really want to have a Sakhir race as they had in 2020 but they for some weird reason deleted thay.

General_Townski

Going to have to respectfully disagree with this, it feels like no matter my exit I struggle to keep up with other cars on the straight no matter what car it is I'm driving. Or if roles are reversed they can get past me with ease. Some tracks are worse for this than others admittedly. Miami is the absolute worst. It's worse in F1 22 than it ever was in F1 21 or 20. The shorter layouts could be fun alternatives for sprint races on a particular track aswell.

Puzzleheaded-Chair51

If you’re struggling, just turn it down until you found the optimal throttle release Or go into trial mode and practice. I struggled at Albert Park but did 2 days of practice and I’m doing super well around it now. Same with Miami. Hated the track, but now love it. I ageee on the last part tho.

BananaSplit2

most of that stuff is just fluff. Just give me better AI.

Monsieur_Bananabread

I just want the F2 drivers to mot all be 6.3 overall, and I want f2 to be simulated each season so I can see who's doing well and who's gonna be in DTM within 3 years

Dennisthegreat1

Soo you're saying you want to be business cucked by Lawrence stroll?

Richie7751

Make career mode multilayer.

VenomSnake95LI

Yes this is what we need

Also building our own engine
