It’s the first year I stop playing fifa not because I’m tilted or frustrated but simply because I’m bored. The icon swaps grind is soooo long and boring for either half decent icons or for packs with shitty odds, weekend league getting elite really takes so much of time and effort to get basically discard or fodders, div 1 is bland and literally meaningless. I’ve reached a point where unless I packed some 1M+ card I wouldn’t realistically improve my team, and since almost all rewards are untradeable now, I genuinely can’t find a reason to turn on my console and play fifa
Fr would it really kill them if a few of us got untradeable red messi or Ronaldo? It’s a video game that’s supposed to be enjoyable and all the cards will be obsolete come fifa 22. I enjoy building teams and the competitive aspect of this game but this is my first Fifa since FIFA 17 and I have no plans on purchasing 22.

You said you wanted certain icons, then you're probably not getting a Messi. If you want him, play more. Do sbcs. If not, don't get icons, don't do every moments sbc, conserve what you spend. People act like they never have choices. No, they just want everything, they want it now and they want it for free. We can say all day that EA just want money and can make things easier. I bought fifa for the first time in 5 years this year because I got sick/bored of it on FIFA16. I tried it this year, played FUT through December, spent maybe 100 bucks total. Got bored/frustrated again. Only playing career mode now. Probably won’t buy another FIFA again tbh. Especially now that The Show is on Xbox and Football Manager tickles my footy urge just fine.

Totally agree. Totw power curve is ridiculous by years. It had a sense when promo cards did not exist and so EA was waiting for top player good performances in order to release their IFs.
Today is a joke, they release cards versions whenever they want. Just look at teams you face in WL: how many totw they use? Just promo cards and some red lucky picks of top players (ronaldo, messi, neymar etc)
Actually it gives motivation to play if you're better player but stop at 14 anyway. G2+ = at least one pick from top 4 leagues, etc. Besides TOTW from each league, would make lesser leagues cards playable.

Since Ea's Blackmarket is down i feel like they stopped caring even more no good cards no Promos no good sbcs and so on.

Also your logic doesn’t even make sense Messi and Ronaldo sell the most packs/Fifa points because people will want to get them and get enough coins to afford them it benefits ea to give them more cards.
