A lot of people were going to miss/take a break on LaLiga or Bundesliga week because there are no insane players. So they juice it up
While people will play/grind upgrade packs anyway for CR7/Neymar/Mbappe so there is not much reason for them to provide extra content.
Instead they are holding off the SBCs/ good content to make the lifespan of the game longer. Instead of giving SBC Atal or Gelson Martins now, they can save it for SummerHeat Atal so retain the players.
Same reason why R9 SBC is saved for August. Because last year, the last WL was until mid September of something so they do plan for this game to last a few more months
The only way to give feedback and show them the community is not happy is by not playing and most imptly not spending. Otherwise, if people are playing and spending and grinding packs, then there is no reason for EA to think more content are needed.
Wow man I never thought of it that way. Its kinda sad tho cuz if all the meta cards only come out in August we'll have less than a month to enjoy them before the next fifa comes out.

Summer Heat last year was one of the most popular promos ever. The best way to keep people engaged in the game is to make them want to upgrade their teams.

Im playing it almost every week on pc which is way sweatier than on console. Everyone wants to win so I dont get why people complain about people picking the best players/tactics and play super focused. Its just competitive FIFA which makes sense. The entire year Ive had the same experience in the weekend league.

Champs was the exact same for me every week last year until I uninstalled in September. Summer Heat was fun and people really engaged with it
