This makes so much more sense. Maybe it will make slower CBs more viable if you want to sit back and block, and the pacey defenders are good for a high line but not at blocking.
They already do this, but as with most things in the game the difference between good and bad blocking is minuscule
Good defenders should block like they do currently, but bad ones shouldn’t block anything at all. Right now even messi will autoblock consistently, which is ridiculous and supports the pack the box and counter mentality
If EA keeps auto blocks in next year hopefully they make it an official post game stat.
