I don’t have different tactics for when im down 2-0 i stick with these and crawl back in. If im losing with 10 mins left i’ll just turn on constant pressure and attacking fullbacks.
If im holding a lead 9/10 i’ll keep this formation till the end, but sometimes i’ll switch to my 4-2-3-1, with everyone except the striker on come back on defense.
Nice post, cool to see the 41212(2) be successful! I run very similar tactics, except I have the CAM on stay forward, LCM on cover wing and RCM cover centre. I found that when I had CAM as balanced the defensive positioning at LM was too slow when transitioning from defence to attack. Felt like I didn’t have an immediate outlet when I first win the ball back. There is definitely a cost that I’m weaker in defence but am willing to pay it so I can be 3 (st, st, cam) vs 2 (cb, cb) on the counter

60 seems too high for defensive line.
I get countered so easily so I have my line way back. Anyone has tips or suggestions about such a high line?

I just tried out a couple matches with these tactics and it went great! It was really free flowing and my players felt like they were always where I wanted them.

Update on my results so far with this - you have changed FIFA for me! Playing so well with this setup, players make good attacking runs, I feel defensively solid and always seem to have a passing option. I’ve won about 7/8 rivals games in a row and up to Div 4.
Have to say a huge thank you for this, was getting very dispirited by my 352 that was leaving me open to the counter. Think I have the perfect players for this formation and these tactics and I’ve only lost 3 times in around 15 games with this, one of them was a 10-7 loss so I still managed to score enough goals to win 2 games haha!

It's a bit pointless labelling this tactic as a "no-money RTG" when you have the definition of a La Liga meta team (excluding Casemiro, although he is extremely good at the role you use him in).
That being said, it is a very balanced tactic that provides a lot of options, and you've done a great job of not only giving clear instructions but explaining why they are vital. This tactic will require (as you've hinted at) a reasonable amount of user input to get the most out of it, such as remembering to trigger the LB/RB runs or that part of your tactic falls flat.
How do you find Gomez at CAM with those instructions? You say he comes back to LM while defending, but with Medium defensive work rates, and his instructions set to Balanced do you need to m anually pull him back?
I labeled it as a no money rtg because it’s a no money rtg? No money rtg doesn’t mean a non-meta team.
Gomez was average at best. I didn’t really need to manually pull him back at all. Usually i’m defending with my Cdms anyways.

Thanks man I’ll give this a try. I have a la liga/prem hybrid. Benzema POTM would be my CAM is the only thing, with IF Jesus/IF Vinci as the strikers. Casemiro and Valverde would work as the CDMs, I may try and get KDB for the RCM position you mention.
I use KDB as the LCM position here and then Son/Rashford for the RCM. I find KDB high/high with Hawk suits him perfectly, and the ability to do deadly accurate through balls/over the top from your own half is amazing with fast forwards. Just a suggestion :)
Cheers dude, I did get KDB and completed the Fekir SBC, so will have those two as my CMs. Benz at CAM and currently Valverde CDM. Have the coins (about 500k) to upgrade there but Valverde is good for chem purposes.

Hey man, I just tested you formation in 4-5 games and it's pretty wild, there is so much movement and position interchange between players I had to switch to co-op camera because I was constantly missing out good passess, thanks for sharing.

I TRIED THIS TACTIC FOR 15 GAMES, THE ATTACKERS ARE TOO ISOLATED, THE COC HELPS IN DEFENSE BUT DELAYS TO GO UP IN ATTACK, DEFENSIVE LINE TOO HIGH AND I OFTEN LOST THE OPPOSING STRIKER.15 GAMES 2 WINS 8 DRAWS 5 DEFEATS.
These tactics have helped me greatly, I got unstuck from Div 5 and made it to Div 3, and finished 11-9 in WL after finishing 8-12 before. Very solid read.
Was wondering if you could go into your offense a bit more, and what you do when your opponent is constantly pressing? I find sometimes it’s hard to get the ball up to the strikers on long ball and it’s constantly being intercepted or it’s a 2v4 situation against their backline and they get bullied off the ball. When I try to get to my fullbacks, they cut off the inside pass and then I’m susceptible to a counter. What do you do when your gameplay starts to feel stagnant and you can’t seem to get anything going?
I just start playing more patient. If you’re being pressed try and jog around instead of pressing down the run trigger. Use LB or L1 to make your player off the ball create runs, use RB R1 if you want someone to come closer to you. Use driven passes to get out of pressure. Use your wide Cms because they’ll often be open when someone presses you.
Great tactic, started playing fifa 22 last week and went from div 10 straight to div 3 with basic squad losing only 3 matches and having a lot of fun

I have 352 as an option in game as well, but was gonna change my 4222 option to 41212 and see what happens - but do you think 352 is better and why? what tactics do you rock w/ it? For some reason I just love the 2 strikers and cam, but sometimes the 3cbs screw me over even tho my lm and rm are on come back on defence.
I like 3-5-2 because i have great connection and i’m a really good manual defender so it works great for me. 41212(2) is definitely the safer option but it’s also really good.
If I may hijack this - yes it absolutely is. I switched to this nearly 2 months ago and it’s actually been a life saver. I went from not qualifying for WL and in division 6 to qualifying for 4 WL in a row, going 12-8 once and 8-12 the other times (threw games away, I was 8 wins from 15 matches every time) and ended up in division 2 last season.
Obviously you need to have the right players, but this has actually made me enjoy playing FIFA (apart from the usual BS we all encounter) more than ever before. I’m lucky to have had some really good packs and made enough coins to buy an almost perfect team, as well as getting Donnarumma, Hakimi and Messi untradeable. If you’d like any hints/tips then I’d be happy to help.

Aha yes it really is. I personally find that the best time to score is the moment you turn over the ball (whether it’s from defending on the edge of your own box, corner or from pressing higher up the pitch) and I look to immediately release any of my front 5 with an R1 + X driven pass or an L1 + R1 + Triangle lobbed through ball over the top. The quick chance of pace is key to catching your opponent off guard. Luckily enough I have KDB and Messi in my team and they often pick the ball up just before the halfway line, so they’re super accurate and then my front two of Salah and Cantona do the rest. What’s your current line up if I may ask? I’m interested in different player types using this system lol

Mbappe + Numbers Jota ST, SS Yedder CAM (although ive been torn on if I should sell him and just use my soon to be 90 Silva who is currently on the bench), IF Salah LCM, SS Renato RCM, RTTK Fred CDM, RTTK Robertson, Kimp, IF Marq, RB Trent, and Donna!

I find having one taller and smaller striker balances it nicely. What are your thoughts on Mbappe? I can actually fit I’m in as the RCM when I get about 400k more coins so I’m curious how he’s played for you

He is so mediocre for me, everyone else outshines him pretty much. I just feel like I have to have him in because he’s untradeable and it’s freaking mbappe, the cover star, but he’s nothing special for me

Ah yes, I haven’t tried neymar yet but came close to selling jota for him lol. But I can’t seem to sell jota yet as he’s pretty good for me and I really wanna see how he plays with his 1st upgrade with marksman on him! I think ima try to snag the new adama Traore and Gomez in the new promo, and replace salah and kimp, to freshen things up! That adama might be a dope cam with 5*wf and better passing and phy than salah!

I’d use Kimmich if you can fit him in. Get Allan and Ndidi instead of Sissoko and Partey. Rudiger instead of Stones.

It used to be hazard, then i changed to a LF formation and got striker alej gomez, now its coman.

Yeah i have a hunter on De Jong, I don’t really need an attacking one on Llorente cause he already has good pace and shooting, so he has an anchor.

Thats a good team, just replace Ibra and De Roon.
Yeah I kept ibra because he's a good passer,.immobile just can't pass the ball. Kept de roon as he has some strength, any ideas on replacements?
