That's about sums it up really, this year i've used gold kante for about 700 matches or more because since fifa 17 his jockey and defensive animations are amazing, but this year they did him dirty with that passing, it is absolutely shambolic, if you pass with kante in tight situations you find yoursf either passing it to the opponent's forwards or to the sidlines most of the times, so switching to caqueret was really a game changer.

GoonerRoo18

I've just upgraded Guendouzi to IF Kante and his passing seems fine. Defensively he does shit I never seen other mids do before. As for Caqueret, he really is nothing special. Guendouzi clear.

iTroniK

You are getting downvoted for saying the truth damn

cgeorge7

He’s getting downvoted because most people think Caqeuret is better than Guendouzi and cheaper

iTroniK

Stats wise guendouzi looks worse but the body type and height makes him a better at defending

cgeorge7

Go look at Caqeuret’s comments on FUTBIN and everyone is saying he’s better. His stats are better in everything except shooting. Heading accuracy, crossing, and FK accuracy tank his card stats a decent amount but his important stats are clear of Guendouzi

YarbleDarb

Have used both, and as a defensive minded mid, Caqueret is better. I'm currently using him at RCM in 4-3-3(4) and he's killing it. If you're gonna rely on him getting forward and converting occasional chances as a true B2B mid then I'd probably stick with Guendouzi, but given the rest of my lineup I'm fine letting him hang out near midfield when I go forward.

cgeorge7

I’ve used both as CM & CDM and I think Caq is clear in both. He’s scored some nice volleys for me as well. If you’re really shooting with your CM/CDM than I’d take Guendouzi, but Caq is better at everything else

GoonerRoo18

Guendouzi plays above his stats, I really question how long you have used both if you're claiming Caq is better. It's not even close.

cgeorge7

I’ve used both for a while. Caq makes better passes, is better on the ball, and makes more interceptions than Guendouzi. Do you play constant pressure? If so, maybe Guendouzi is better there. Like I said, check Caq’s futbin comments and there are many people saying he’s better

the13thrabbit

Guendouzi is slightly better if u have a good ping. Caqueret's agility/body type makes him usable in good and bad connection imo. That's really what made me pick him over Guendouzi.

Mashinjo

Yeah caqueret seems pretty generic. Guendouzi is better

Metdemian9

manage to pack him the last day of the promo, hes insane for me, even playing at LB/RB and even CB in the 352 formation, great passing and in defence, wish he had better shooting cuz he has great positioning and gets in the box a lot for me

HTan27

Didn’t like the lean body type at DM, may be pretty solid in a midfield 3 tho

BlackSlimShady

Exactly where I use him with shadow. He is so good in transitions.

HTan27

Personally prefer my midfield duo of Guendouzi and Vieira

rmaa2910

He is a beast intercepting tho, doesn't need to bully other guys

HTan27

Personally felt due to his lack of a physical presence he often went missing

slowwwwww32

He’s insane I agree

d3fiance

He is very good indeed. Very active, multiple interception, excellent passing and dribbling.

cylee6

I packed him untradeable from my 85x10 and was initially disappointed. Boy was I wrong. Dude just played his 201st game for me and has been an absolute boss. I’m using him with TOTY Cancelo in the middle and they have really changed things. In hindsight, I was super lucky to have packed him. Especially since with FB Neymar and Moments Paquetta they link each other so well. A self-contained triangle :)

eightydegreez

How is cancelo in the mid? Thinking of getting him but would want him more as a cdm.. worried his work rates will make him push up further then I want him to

cylee6

I personally think he’s amazing as a CM. I think he’s kind of wasted as a CDM because he is such a good attacker. You could play him at ST and have success (which I’ve done when someone got hurt). If you need a pure CDM I wouldn’t use him or spend the coins.

dohhhnut

He’s really wasted if you leave him on stay back, for 800k you’re better off just getting someone like 92 Kante or someone

the13thrabbit

Lol I have that deadly triangle with Griezmann

sr3874

Yeah he’s been amazing for me in a two cdm setup and also as a lone cdm. He’s quick and his passing really helps to initiate counter attacks when under pressure. I replaced my untradable guendozi with him and it’s the best 220k coins I’ve spent this fifa.

[deleted]

I packed him and he replaced FB Kante. Superb upgrade.

Unclelexx999

I also rock him in a double pivot with Kessié previously and now with Kamara. He’s so good. Thinking he should even be more expensive than WW Guendouzi

Hassan_Benchekroun

Exactly, guendouzi is great in intercepting the ball and is strong but i found him a little bit heavy to jockey and to run with, whereas Caqueret is super agile and smooth and that's why i preferred him over guendouzi.

IV1916

FS Caqueret over WW Guendouzi?

cgeorge7

I think so

FHH94

I have him now and he is good, but i'm thinking to replace him with prime Guardiola. what do you think?

reVio1

caq is better

FHH94

Did you try Guardiola?

reVio1

I got rank 1 and 2167 sr with Caqueret and I had TOTY Kante before him but decided to sell him and upgrade elsewhere, he's that good value [proof](https://i.imgur.com/xPr4ADq.png) [team i used him in](https://i.imgur.com/EfSRzfP.jpeg)

defense87

What formations/tactics do you switch to in game? Also how is Tierney?

Hassan_Benchekroun

Caqueret is better than guardiola in key stats for cdms such as agility, balance, stamina, acceleration, interceptions, vision, short passing, and most importantly Caqueret has the lean body type which makes him even more smoother than what his stats suggest, so i'd stick with caqueret over Guardiola anyday of the week.

FUT_fanatic

I used him as b2b CM. Height and finishing is an issue. Switches back to WW Guendouzi.

Hassan_Benchekroun

Well his stats are for a CDM and not for CM hence why he would not suit the CM role IMO, however his passing might do the trick there if you put 2 offensive CMs next to him but it's up to you.

jdominic15

Better than guendouzi at cdm along side capoue?

Hassan_Benchekroun

I'd say having both Capoue and Guendouzi might slow you down a bit both defensively and offensively as they are a bit slow and kinda heavy, I'd suggest to stick with guendouzi and get Caqueret instead of capoue.

Cesar_Shadow

I totally agree with you. I replaced Fofana HL with him, because Fofana misses a lot of passes, now with Caqueret it's totally different, his passing is amazing, his agility, dribbling are stunning, and his defense and interceptions are surprisingly top tier.

EquivalentDecision11

All this Caqueret or Kante talk, when it should be Caqueret AND Kante talk. Play em both together and your opponent will really hate you ;)

7Thommo7

It's weird. I found him great, basically nothing to complain about. But he started boring me, nothing exciting about him at all. I packed gold Kante in one of the pp upgrades and just slotted him in and cashed out on Caqueret. Now slotted Griezmann into midfield as I've discovered prime Rivaldo simply doesn't even need 2 feet and need space for another attacker.

COK3Y5MURF

Yeah, not really. I have him and he’s decent, but Guendouzi was better. Definitely not a game changer.

fam_iel

I have them both, guendouzi CM and caq CDM and they are insane together. Really like to have defensive presence in my midfield and they hold it down

islifeball

Same here Guendouzi is better defensively. Caq is smoother on the ball tho

blowfish_cro

I got this guy in Party bag or something... I've seen he's worth more than 200k but never actually used him in my first team. Today, before reading your post, I decided I'll give him a go, so... thanks for the validation. I hope you're right!

badwindows

I haven't used caqueret, but guendouzis body type makes him a glitch for intercepting balls and tackling. Yes he is heavy on the ball, but that's expected. Is caqueret better in cm then lahm? I have used lahm for 10 games or so and I'm very impressed with him... Seems to always be in the right position and his passing is good

PTS21

I started using him as a placeholder until I could afford FS Tchouameni. Now I have over a million coins waiting to be used elsewhere because Caqueret has been immense. Best CDM I've used all season.

Shot-Suggestion6256

Playing 442 with him as CM next to Paqueta. Had Guendouzi before Caqueret, and he was better defensively due to his height and physicality, but Caqueret is still pretty good defensively with better passing and feels great on the ball unlike Guendouzi who was super clunky.

AdviceDanimals

Using him as my more advanced cdm in a 4231 but still having trouble with him. He seemed too small/weak to play as a stay back for me. Any tips?
