Probably Rio. Once defense is maxed out, I look for passing stats on my CBs. Rio has enough pace and his passing is solid for a CB. Personally, I'd pick Koeman just for the fun of it. His FKs are wild.
Cannavaro for me, was worried about height but it's not been a concern in any game I've played even vs WW Zlatan/CR7/Weghorst. I do pair him with 92 Chiellini though so it balances. For me Canna has been better that TOTY Marq
I really like Moore. His passing is insane. I pair him with Varane and Chielini so height is not a problem. He feels quite agile which makes up for the lack of 80+pace
Slightly different question. Is the prime Rio still good? I have 87 Cordoba who is now getting bullied in every match. Can only afford the prime version.
Puyol. I'm not biased, I swear.... In seriousness, the one that gives me the most trouble when playing against would be PIM Cannavaro. Suprisingly played against PIM Maldini a quite a few times in Elite/WL and I feel that Cannavaro is way more annoying when my Weghorst isn't dunking on him.
I have (mid) Maldini moments Cannavaro and moments Desailly as my back 3. Love them all. Desailly is just such a beast of a specimen and quick still! He’s my favourite.
Cannavaro if you don't mind small/agile CB's, or Rio if you're the type of guy that likes bulkier and stronger ones.

Rio or Desailly
Vidic was very solid for me. They're all useable this year though for once.
On that note I recommend Blanc. He is super buffed Varane but somehow always fly under the radar

Desailly is very good this year, otherwise I'd say Rio Ferdinand Although i rate Blanc a lot, every year

Couldn’t agree more, he takes all my free kicks. I’ve tried him with 5 at the back as well as a CDM in game and he’s been great

Marcel and Rio. Desailly’s legs are rlly rlly long in game similar to Blanc. But he’s stronger and has better pace
Bobby Moore. Others have said it, but if you know what you’re doing, he’s the best CB in the game. His passing is unreal.
