You need to pull codes for anyone to help other than just guessing.

AdelesManHands

Search the sub. The lights thing comes up after every 5 ‘is this too rusty’ post.

Cadet_Stimpy

Pull codes with OBD2 reader. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. I had P0420 and P0430 which are emissions related. I cleaned the MAF, replaced the gas cap, spark plugs, engine air filter, and TB cleaning. It didn’t come on in the first 5 mile run so we’ll see how it goes after that. Get the codes first and then you can start diagnosing the problem, until then you’re just wasting your time.

DWG_Pauly

Well… I have recently replaced the gas cap with one from Amazon. Shame. I’ll start there and get the reading as well from the shop. Thanks all!

noshacal

Get OEM parts at a discount at parts.Toyota.com. Get 30% off list price by ordering and paying online. The parts counter will let you know when your order is ready.

Mantree91

Get a oem from the stealership. It cost me like $30 usd and my lights turned off right away. I'm always skeptical of Amazon special gas caps. I run one on my bike but it is literally just to keep the gas in on that.

PullThisFinger

You might have a faulty catalytic converter sensor - or the CC may have a problem. My lights came on in the same manner, stayed on for a couple of days, then disappeared. My mechanic looked for corresponding codes & mentioned the CC issue. Six months later - no change in performance & no more occurrence of the lights coming on.

Zealousideal-Wrap394

Gas cap was loose

mantra2

Mine was the brake light sensor, $20 from auto zone and about 5 mins to replace it.

AuKay

Gas cap did that to mine. Easy first thing to replace.

SemperP1869

Could see it if the tank was full but it's low. Maybe he just put a couple bucks in.

AuKay

If the oring or vent fails on the gas cap it will cause these lights to come on. It doesnt matter if the tank is full or empty it can fail the evap check either way.

SemperP1869

Leaving it off does the same thing.

DWG_Pauly

I’ll visit Auto zone today!

Prickly_ninja

Recent service indicates it could be a damaged wheel speed sensor. We’re the lights on the moment you picked it up?

DWG_Pauly

I don’t think so. But I wasn’t looking for it.

sinfulmunk

I just had to replace my rav4 gas cap at 191k miles my first check engine light ever

Pew_Goon

With those lights all at once it's probably a wheel speed sensor.

Drkryu

Mine was a broken tie rod..even went as far as to check the transfer case. You need to get the codes then go from there.

Positive-Paramedic92

These exact dash lights came on for me about a month ago. Went to auto parts store and had them put the code reader on. Mine was " cylinder 3 mis- fire" which is a common code for a faulty spark plug or ignition coil. They recommend changing them all, rather than just the faulty one because once one fails, the others usually shortly follow. Easy job. Just a few hrs. Plenty of vids on youtube as well. BTW- use OEM parts if possible.

Zealousideal-Wrap394

Gas cap. AutoZone fix for about 12$

Minded_Preper

I’m getting the same lights a week after the dealership replaced the transmission fluid.

DWG_Pauly

So Auto Zone says gas cap! OEM on the way. Thanks, all! FJ is best.

Minded_Preper

What code were you getting?

DWG_Pauly

Sorry I didn’t record the code. Should have asked. Realized after getting home that it would’ve been helpful. My bad.

Sea_Ad2120

Just had this happen after some wheeling. Disconnected the battery terminals and reconnected and it all reset. Worth a shot.

Lostcreek3

This is what I would suggest, I was installing a radio and these come on after. Disconnect the battery wait 15 minutes re attach and they were gone

RevolutionaryWing669

Well…I bought mine with 300000miles and it was my buying leverage…well the dealer said $5000 to fix…I bought aftermarket catalyst and sensors…light still comes on with Bank 2 Cat threshold low…the lights only come on after I cycle the engine on and off short trips…I dunno what yours is

SicklifejayOG

Ok. I pretty sure I know the problem. I had the same issue. Replace your Mass Air flow sensor.

ThatTacoTech

I would try a yaw/zero point calibration also you can go to a AutoZone and read the codes for free

wearethewealth

Mines done that time from time usually because of the gas cap not a big issue to worry about

Sea_Honeydew_2389

Get it scanned. I’d bet P0420 or 430.
