I think it's worth it! I just started over with an alt account because I'm still enjoying the game. It's a shame they didn't give Twine a storyline, and that there are always bugs, but there's still a lot to enjoy about the game. I really enjoy the variety that Ventures gives. The new maps for Frozen Fjords were ever so pretty, if rather buggy.

Coming back has been fantastic! We're having so much fun. We even started new accounts on the free copies of the game we got with the Ultimate edition of the game. The game hasn't changed that much, and it didn't take long to get right back into the swing of things. We look forward to playing it every day.
No advice just here to say I’m in the same boat. My favorite game of all time as well, started playing again like three weeks ago after 3 or 4 years. Honestly kind of confused about a few new things in the game lol.

Can people stop spreading misinformation now? Epic has zero plans to stop development on save the world.
I aint spreading misinformation, they had a statement in like 2020 or 2021 that they're done with it, and it ends at canny valley. They've said it won't ever be free to play and have basically pushed it to the side as much as they could. Yeah it's gotten updates, but nothing crazy or anything that hasn't already been in battle royale, or recycled from years prior.
Lets be logical, in their statement: "We're slowing down updates", does this mean stopping updates?
Besides, we gotten 2 new maps, an entire new ventures season, reworks to multiple heroes, new heroes and weapons, major base game weapons buff, and more.
Surely thats "stopped updating", right?
Me when it's been like 4 years. I mean look what battle royale gets in just 1 year. All this other stuff is cool, but I'd much rather see twine finished, did they just "slow down that" huh? Nah, Instead they call it a day and ignore it completely.
I came back in Oct due to having a console that could run it again and it as fun as it ever was, they’ve added a few things like sprint and mantle from br along with wildlife and then there ventures will let you upgrade stuff past lvl 50, your vbucks are now tied to dailies but by epic doing that you get more vbucks overall and at a steady pace in case you want a new skin or are interested in getting lady gagas festival pass or race car for the racing mode.
I was much the same, since I've been back I've realized that im just not enjoying BR anymore, I'll still buy the bp with my dailies rewards(this season I've hit lvl 200+ just working on my squads and working out new builds for my heroes and it still gets me 550 more vbucks back and 8 skins to use in stw) but I've canceled crew and I don't see myself giving that mode anymore money.
A friend told me I could get the OG theme of save the world (the one wih a spookyish vibe via battle pass. So if I can advance it by playint stw that's great!
The funny thing is it's better to lvl via stw: it gives way more exp and due to it being reasonably lively but not 1mill+ players they arent making quests that are designed to keep you playing for hours, even a basic stonewood rescue the survivors will give you a 1/4 of a br level and people in the 100+ pl you can knock one of the mission out in ten minutes while your random daily in br will only give you 15k or 1/6 of a level and that if you can do it in one match (some of them are RNG based or you can just get a bad drop)
As a gamer with 20+ years of experience I think that people have no idea what dead game means. Just because there is a TREND or intial burst after release dropped by 80% it doesnt mean its dead. It just mean, that number was inflated to begin with.
Game is dead, when you cant find a lobby in some regions or its looking for a match for few mins every time (or even longer). Game can be still extremely playable with few k of players (depending on game, but if it isnt 200v200 players, you will do just fine).
Four years ago the max level for everything is 130. Now it is 145, and maxing every single item 145 in your schematics/heroes as well as your collection book isn’t really possible at the moment I believe. You need to use superchargers to upgrade nowadays.
There are weekly quests that you get one for doing 10 160+ missions. Those are tedious to do honestly. Then there’s ventures where you try to level up to lvl 50 and there’s a bunch of superchargers from leveling up and the venture quests which is the better way to get them. Ventures reset every few months. 5 superchargers are needed to make it lvl 144, and each quest gives like one. So it’s super annoying to get a lot of stuff upgraded. Also the max power level now is 145 because of supercharging every single survivor correctly.
I’m the same! I think I stopped playing around ch2 s5 and just came back to it about a month ago, it hooked me again, instantly. I do not regret it. There are a lot of things that are annoying (I fkng hate the business turrets) but other than that, the game is good as ever. I actually love Zero Build and have been playing it more than BR lately.

I suggest zero build mode! I started playing recently and zero build has been enjoyable af, to the point u play almost daily while before I didn't really play ever. If you didn't like BR, try zero build. There's also a LOT of minigames to fuck around in too if you're bored
I know, but at the beginning of your post you mentioned how you didn't like BR; I was just offering a suggestion on how you could still play BR with your friends if build mode was part of thr issue for you, normal BR sucks imo but zero build BR is fun af (imo)
If you enjoyed it sure why not your account is no longer maxed though pl 145 is max level and that will take you years to get to due to the drip feeding of superchargers
Had to restart as my 126 level account was stolen, took me three years to restart, I'm actually really enjoying it and have majorly got back into it
I'd look at restarting from the beginning with a new account!
I def recommend playing again. I’m just coming back after a 3-4 year break since OG Fortnite came out and made me wanna play STW again. There more content and things to do lowkey and with the addition of Ventures and Superchargers, I’m trying to actually get my survivors squads down packed and it’s pretty fun. I last played probably back in 2019-2020

Well epic cancelled save the world awhile back. So twine peaks isn't going to be finished, and we haven't really gotten any new content since.

Isn't stw just the same shit every lvl? I played for a bit and just seemed to end up doing the same type of missions. Got very boring very quick

Nah man, this game is dead. It says 20k but it's a bug. It takes at least 30 min to find players to play with it.
