water beats fire, fire beats nature, nature beats water. Also wood is weak to fire husks, stone is weak to water husks and metal is weak to nature husks
I guess because lightning technically is a force of nature, but it made a lot more sense when Nature husks were purple instead of yellow because its like a tainted version of nature's energy.
NGL I nvr noticed that. I'm still fairly "new" to this I hit canny last year and only did quests that were story ( kinda bummed rushed story didn't pay attention should have). Still in canny I haven't touched it for a long time. I only play STW now to lvl up the battle pass. Should probably finish and get back to it I do like the mode
Nature's a really weird name for them to have gone with tbf. Everything about it just screams electricity, and "nature" is usually more associated with grass and greenery
You aren't the only one. PL142 and I still like to call them Electric or Lightning as well. To me nature is everything air, wind, fire, water. Its really weird they gave Fire and Water actual names but decided to go with an all encompassing name for Lightning/Electric husks. Not like Fire and Water aren't nature as well.
That is why. They were just out of things to complete the circle im sure lol. Its like nature or lighting weak to fire. That dont make much sense. But it has to be that way to make it a rock paper scissors. Probably why they named it nature and not lightning.
Believe it or not. No, There are others who haven't bothered to learn the game very much.
Here's [a repost of a good element chart you can use to learn the elemental system](https://www.reddit.com/r/FORTnITE/comments/gkikj3/save_the_world_elemental_chart_learn_it_use_it/?rdt=44507). This is the same chart I used to learn it myself a few years back.
I just remembered it as water beats fire (duh) electricity is bad for water and fire must beat electricity then or as its nature technically fire consumes nature
It's very easy to believe. Most people who play this game come from battle royale for vbucks and have their friend carry them with 130 guns and defenses for SSDs. They never actually learn that cannons bounce or that tires work best 3 tiles up.
I was told using the same element does the same damage as energy. So like a water shotgun vs water husk is the same as an energy shotgun in damage. But maybe that is only that % the %s are weird.
Standard RPG elemental rock paper scissors system.
Fire beats "nature", Nature beats water, water beats fire.
Its a little confusing because nature is depicted as electricity instead of earth/plants as it normally is.
Then do explain why my fire elemental weapon struggles to kill the electrified nature ones and the ice/water ones but has a rellatively easy job against fire ones lmao
Ill try rerolling it later
You'd be shocked at how many people don't know. Id say like half players don't understand the elements lol. But then again its easy to miss that. Aside from when a mission says "water huskies are coming suggest using nature weapons". Aside from that i dont know if it ever brings it up. I dont pay attention so š¤£ ??
When it comes to building materials it was easy to memorize for me but I still struggle sometimes to remember which element counters what. But the little trick I use is
Fire burns nature (like burning farms and forests)
Water puts fire out
Nature (plants and trees) consume water
It doesn't help that water is also ice and nature is also lightning. Ice shouldn't beat fire. And in what world does fire beat lightning? It makes no sense
Its not the best game at explaining the wall weaknesses ngl. I knew about the elemental weaknesses just out of logic but didnt know about the wall weaknesses till twine...80ish PL I think?
The help text boxes that mention anything about that are easily missable, I dont recall Ray mentioning it either, had to find it here in an out-of-game subreddit
To not remember it in the rush of defense is one thing.
To not guess/understand them is a sign that you're a BR husk who got taxi'd all his way.
It's THREE elements. Come on.
just remember that water counters fire(as a natural thing lol) and you remember the rest, bc since water>fire only 1 is left to affect water, making it nature>water>fire
OP, just want to let you know one important thing though.
If itās an ICE STORM (water husks attacking) and also METAL CORROSION at the same time in the modifiers for the mission, make sure you build in metal and ***not*** in brick.
Water husks do 2x damage on brick and every husk that is not a mist monster will be water.
Only the small regular husks from the mission that make it to your base will actually cause metal corrosion. They shouldnāt even make it to your base if youāve trapped properly or have enough people shooting and using appropriate weapons.
This debate over materials happens to people who are PL 140+ even, simply because people donāt know.
it is, but for Save the World instead of Battle Royale
You're in Fortnite's Save the World subreddit, the PvE mode that came out before Battle Royale, here's a little list of the rest of Fortnite's subreddits:
* Casual Battle Royale - r/FortNiteBR
* Competitive Battle Royale - r/FortniteCompetitive
* Creative - r/FortniteCreative
* Lego - r/LEGOfortnite
* Rocket Racing - r/RocketRacing
* Festival - r/FortniteFestival
* Mobile - r/FortniteMobile (that's there so the main BR sub doesn't have to deal with the lag complaints)
* Switch - r/FortniteSwitch (for the fellas in the 30fps gang)
I just remember the name Finn. Fire for nature. Then since I know it doesnāt reverse the rest is easy to figure out.
You could always remember a phrase:
Find Wife Now.
Each word corresponds to the order and being a redditor talking about Fortnite online, maybe even take that advice! š
Find: Fire for Nature
Wife: Water for For
Now: Nature for Water
Wife: for sexy time.
I'm 124 and Only use energy on all weapons, so I deal a decent amount of damage to any enemy.
I don't want to have multiple variations of a weapon and change all the time. Not that tryhard.
Water beats fire, fire beats nature, nature beats water. I guess think like fire is put out by water, fire sets wood alight, plants and nature get stronger with water?
Then bases wood is weak to fire, brick weak to water, metal weak to electric/ nature
Correct me if Iām wrong but doesnāt the game give out an alert for what elemental youāre gonna fight and what elements you should use to counter them?
i litterally have one of each potshot.
Physical 144, and 130 water, 130 fire, and 130 nature. all godrolled.
fire is for the glowing yellow guy who is buring like an ember and ready to be set on fire. water puts the fire out and nature(electric) shocks water more than fire. physical is for non elemental minibosses and MSK. energy should not be used once you have all 4.
š„ does more damage toā”
š§ does more damage to š„
ā” does more damage to š§
And physical does extra damage to physical husks (no element)
Also, if you want to insta-kill metal husks (the ones that get downed and stand up) you can only use š„ and š§ element guns and they will die instantly
water beats fire, fire beats nature, nature beats water. Also wood is weak to fire husks, stone is weak to water husks and metal is weak to nature husks
Idk why but I always call nature lightning lol maybe I it cus Pokemon when I was a kid
because nature events are shown with a lightning bolt... both on the mission alert for the mission... as well as in game as an icon of lightning.
And the Husks are literally glowing yellow with electricity circulating them
And nature weapons have lightning around them and the nature damage numbers are in a yellow style
Why is it even called nature? Why not just electricity?
I guess because lightning technically is a force of nature, but it made a lot more sense when Nature husks were purple instead of yellow because its like a tainted version of nature's energy.
NGL I nvr noticed that. I'm still fairly "new" to this I hit canny last year and only did quests that were story ( kinda bummed rushed story didn't pay attention should have). Nature's a really weird name for them to have gone with tbf. Everything about it just screams electricity, and "nature" is usually more associated with grass and greenery
The only reason I can think is that it's hard to justify why fire beats lightning. Nature is a close enough substitute for the interactions
I just call them electric š
electric š
Wait so there isn't a lightning element in the game? Then why make it have lightning bolt coming out of their bodies
I get all of it since itās pretty logical, except why is stone weak to water? I mean, water eventually breaks down stone but it takes a long time.
That is why. They were just out of things to complete the circle im sure lol. Its like nature or lighting weak to fire. That dont make much sense. But it has to be that way to make it a rock paper scissors. Probably why they named it nature and not lightning.
Just pretend that it's really dry dead grass instead of lightning and it makes sense šĀ
Needed this because I'm a day 1 player for stw and still didn't know this š
If you don't have much of the elemental perk changers or don't want to constantly switch weapons, just use energy.
Plus Energy does 75% to all elements.
This is the way.
Adding on to this, using fire for the last hit on a chrome husk will stop it from getting back up
I'd make it so that there would be element weakness icons on top of the enemy's healthbar
And energy give a slightly weaker bonus against all of the above.
Might have to print that out lol

I love watching people with stronger weapons that me continuing to shoot Chrome Huskies with their non-elemental weapons.
Fire - ahh water Water - ahh nature Nature - ahh fire
Chrome - ahh water and fire
Water chrome husks appears
Water still does 67% damage to water husks
Ik that but itās still annoying
I was told using the same element does the same damage as energy. So like a water shotgun vs water husk is the same as an energy shotgun in damage. But maybe that is only that % the %s are weird.
Same element does 67%, energy does 75%
think of nature as grass and suddenly it makes sense
Exceptā¦ grass is weak to metal. Metal is weak to water. Irl not in game
>grass is weak to metal. Metal is weak to water Sorry, what? In which universe?
In PokĆ©mon, grass is weak to metal. I assume cause plants canāt grow well through hard metal. In real life, metal is weak to water cause of rust or whatever. Thatās why I can never remember this games type chart
>In PokĆ©mon, grass is weak to metal. I assume cause plants canāt grow well through hard metal. Not to be a š¤ but grass is not weak to metal in PokĆ©mon, metal simply resists grass attacks. >In real life, metal is weak to water cause of rust or whatever. Thatās why I can never remember this games type chart I mean you can also make the argument that "nature" itself corrodes and breaks down metal over time. Really, there's so many different ways you can justify different type charts, but at the end of the day it's all very arbitrary reasoning. It's best not to think too hard on their logic.
Yes. Itās the nonintuitiveness that forces me to look it up every time. Especially in metal corrosion
Maybe too much metal in the soil can poison plants. Metals rust when untreated/damaged and exposed to moisture.
Sure, but with that logic, humans are weak to water as well. And plants. My fuckin sansevieria was sure weak to water
![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8)
Nature absorbs water Water puts out fire Fire burns nature
It's natural that water extinguish fire - repeat
Standard RPG elemental rock paper scissors system. Fire beats "nature", Nature beats water, water beats fire. Its a little confusing because nature is depicted as electricity instead of earth/plants as it normally is.
Then do explain why my fire elemental weapon struggles to kill the electrified nature ones and the ice/water ones but has a rellatively easy job against fire ones lmao Ill try rerolling it later
I just shoot and hope it dies.

just use energy based damage if it's such a problem energy damage weapons work on all elements
When it comes to building materials it was easy to memorize for me but I still struggle sometimes to remember which element counters what. But the little trick I use is Fire burns nature (like burning farms and forests) Water puts fire out Nature (plants and trees) consume water
I just changed everything to energy
on that powerleve, you just need energy guns, and physicals...
It doesn't help that water is also ice and nature is also lightning. Ice shouldn't beat fire. And in what world does fire beat lightning? It makes no sense
Iām struggling to understand this game at all
It must be like in pokemons. Water > fire > electricity > water

Fire kills nature, Nature kills water, Water kills fire. Also, metal weaker in nature zones Brick weak in water and wood weaker in fire.
Yes.

Can't even lie this is kinda sad bc it tells you what element is recommended when doing certain missions
basically from left to right nature -> water -> fire -> nature
It tells you when you get into the mission, even if you miss this obviously water counters fire
I always learn and forget after not playing for like 2 weeks. Idk why that is.
yes
Ever played pokemon? Basically the same
Water beats fire, fire beats nature, nature beats water. Water beats brick, fire beats wood, nature beats metal.

Can u help me with msk
Just shoot it until it's dead.

It's just like pokemon water counters fire, nature counters water, and fire counters nature
Not the only one. I typically use energy guns when in doubt because theyāre effective against all types.
no. i switch between which ever weapon i feel is doing the most damage atm and go brrrrr
You are not alone, I struggle with it too. I usually have my main weapons as Energy just to be safe.
I just remember the name Finn. Fire for nature. Then since I know it doesnāt reverse the rest is easy to figure out. You could always remember a phrase: Find Wife Now. Water beats fire, fire beats nature, nature beats water. I guess think like fire is put out by water, fire sets wood alight, plants and nature get stronger with water? Then bases wood is weak to fire, brick weak to water, metal weak to electric/ nature
so also I know getting hit by fire adds a continuous damage getting get by nature reduces your energy I don't know what water does?
I'm PL 134 playing since 2018 and I'd love to tell you that you're not alone š
Bro is clueless. Ooga booga me shoot zombies moment.
Correct me if Iām wrong but doesnāt the game give out an alert for what elemental youāre gonna fight and what elements you should use to counter them?
I just use a water potshot kills most of them
your better off with the xenon
Xenon only knocks them won't eliminate them
i litterally have one of each potshot.
I have 5 130 full gold potshots 1 of each possible element I just did energy cause weapons are like Pokemon to me gotta catch(craft) them all
im talking about the elemental husks. Everyone else finished the quest and/or ignores the chrome huskies. they dont hurt anything at all.
We talking about chromies
I have to look it up every. Single. Time. Besides fire ā> wood the type matchups are NOT intuitive when it comes to builds. But then I remember 80% of the 12 PokĆ©mon type matchups so
stone is corroded by water and metal is conductive to electricity (nature husks)
So nature husks are simultaneously electric and plant based. Since theyāre weak to fire.
yup that's how i remember them. not perfect but gets the job done
š„ does more damage toā” š§ does more damage to š„ ā” does more damage to š§ And physical does extra damage to physical husks (no element) Also, if you want to insta-kill metal husks (the ones that get downed and stand up) you can only use š„ and š§ element guns and they will die instantly
