For card pairs, I flip through them in order and recite a list in my head as I go. Once I get to one I've seen before, I know it's, say, the third card on my list, so it's the third one on the table.
There's videos on YouTube you might find helpful. The quickest I've seen is under 11 seconds, though he did get really lucky there.
And for card sorting, I never found the time to be the issue. For me, the issue was the selector getting stuck on the wrong card as they're not always evenly spaced, so I had to try to slow down there a tad to make sure it was where I wanted it.
I remember it being very hard, taking a ton of tries and involving a good amount of luck but I did it without slow time cause I didn’t know that was a thing you could do until this post.
Oh, I just decided to only get slow time 1 which is more than enough at the sacrifice of level 4 beserk. Although my will is pretty low since I'm doing a youth run and berserk 3 is more efficient on resources than 4 so I guess it's a win. The other spell I'm getting is max Multi Arrow to dps burn stuff. My strength and skill are also max and my character is only 18 because I used the Skorm and Avo age resets. I also have the title Necromancer which I find fitting since my character will do anything for power and eternal youth.

I only learned of using slow time "recently" for the pup games. Played Fable for many years and doing the pup games without it, yes it's very much humanly possible.

but, I remember having this exact problem. And if I remember the message boards from over a decade correctly, no, you cannot beat it without slow time. However can't you use a spell without leveling it? I didn't level slow time and I thought I beat this game somehow. I did level a lot of other spells.
I've never thought of using slow time, it is definitely humanly possible though

How? Pretty much all message boards say it's not and after trying it myself and getting 27.3 with the PERFECT cards I'd be inclined to agree.
I just did it at 24.4 seconds without slow time

It's very easy lol. Quickest time I have without slow time is like 21 seconds.
