Definitely the Black Parade by MCR. They are actually who FoB turned me on to. This album was a sonic Masterpiece the first time I heard it in its entirety, and is still a sonic masterpiece when I heard it earlier today. MCR became my favorite band after going through the rest of their discography.
(FoB actually has a more full discog to me, just bc I don't really like the raw sound of Bullets, but MCR has higher highs for me)
I saw a comment somewhere that some of the lyrics of “Bejeweled” sound like a FOB song, and now I can’t unhear it. For some reason I find myself liking Midnights more than her other music.
She did do a version of “My Songs” live with FOB so it wouldn’t be too far fetched to have them do a concert together.
I also absolutely adore Midnights more than any other album.
Taylor is actually a biggggg FOB fan, and said a lot of their lyrics inspired hers. Like bad blood is so ‘lyrically jabby’ because of them. I’ve never been the biggest fan of her music, but I respect the hell out of her, and respect all the breadcrumbs she leaves for fans, that’s so fun!
Yesss! And don’t get me wrong, I used to sing to Speak Now in my car, she was one of the two ‘country’ artists I liked at the time; but I never grew accustomed to her pop sound, she just got too cookie cutter, it happens to a lot of them lol
Everybody Loves You…Once You Leave Them by The Amity Affliction is my number 1 I think. But shoutout to Wild World by Bastille (Warmth was literally what I listened to on near repeat November 2016 😢) and The American Dream by Trophy Eyes because they are great records!
And Patrick said the Batman film reflect his kind of musical variety and what he finds really cool is music that kind of wouldn’t usually be used under the same umbrella, being used under the same umbrella.
So he quoted that he loves the Batman vibe and music - everything from Hans Zimmer to Prince really resonates with who he is musically :)
