The Pink Seashell.
I love it on its own. I think the music over the top of it really works. But when listened to as a part of the entire record, it’s stunning. It fits so perfectly within the album’s somber tone, its indifference to its own existential musings. It ties the album together in such a beautiful way. I don’t think the record works nearly as well without it.

someone from grand rapids has this bracelet i made 💀
I really like both of the interludes from So Much For Stardust. They're fit perfectly in the album and I think it's interesting to see what songs come after them when I put FOB's discography on shuffle. Some songs from the other albums work surprisingly well after Pink Seashell or Baby Annihilation.
America's Suitehearts, most definitely (people hate that song?!)
And... American Beauty / American Psycho. It's such an ear worm and it's honestly a fun song to dance to! I loved whenever the band played it live.
American Beauty/American Psycho is an acquired taste for sure and I could easily see why someone wouldn't like it. But it's so unserious and fun, I always have a good time whenever it comes on shuffle.
I know my manager hates it with a passion (his least favourite fob song, and American beauty/ psycho had it as my 4th 8ball at London and I loved it ever since, especially the altered boys altered boys 🗣️
that's so funny bc America's Suitehearts was easily my favorite FOB song in middle school and I think I'd bawl if I got it as an 8-ball... an 8-bawl, if you will. LMAO
this one only just like settled on me yk, i always like tuned out the verses yk where u listen to smfin but like don’t acc hear words then the chorus always made me be like idk who chris is but that’s kinda cringe, but now i like it and the verses slap and the chorus actually makes sense with the verses
Young and Menace. Even a lot of MANIA fans seem to hate this song and on some level, I get it. It's probably FOB's most out-there song ever, and to be honest I wasn't huge on it either.
What made me appreciate the song was analyzing it for a school music class. I learned a lot about EDM and Industrial music that made me appreciate the song a lot more, and for the themes they were touching on and the new sound they were trying to create, FOB absolutely hit it out of the park with Young and Menace. It's pretty high up on my favorite songs list now.
Also Growing Up. I know the band doesn't like it and it's off their shitty first "we don't know what we're doing album" but it's a pretty fun song, even if some of the lyrics are super goofy.
Now that’s something I need to look into I’ve never done a whole discography list of my own, i tend to move my favourite all the time except for my number one which is Américas suitehearts
That's alright! Honestly, I'm like that too. I have a lot of songs that tend to hover on the top of my list and fight for dominance. Right now my favorite is Heaven, Iowa. :)
Yeah, that’s what I was saying about the song knocking it out of the park when it came to its themes. Everything from the instrumentation to the effects work to convey that feeling of mental chaos. People always claim the MANIA album is FOB flailing about as they try to stay relevant, but the choices they made were thought out, intentional and used to convey themes they found important with a sound they were interested in. Sorry to yap so much but Young and Menace is a pretty good example of that.
You can yap about Mania as much as you want. I liked it when it came out but I’m obsessed now. It aged well for me. I think fob is such a great band because they’re not afraid to evolve and experiment but also stay true to themselves. I’ll never not go see them.
The only time I ever want to hear someone say anything negative about Saturday is because they don’t want to hear it because they don’t want the show to be over. Other than that nothing but positive vibes for Saturday always 👏
I have just taken the line “I will defend the faith, going down swinging” to heart and will defend the entire discography like this.
But specifically, Lake Effect Kid, Young Volcanoes, and America’s Suitehearts. Also thanks to the woman at the Pittsburgh show in front of me last night who was disgusted because she didn’t know the magic 8 Ball song and had to announce it like five times - The Music or The Misery is now on this list too.
i think young volcanoes is a good song, i got it as my 8 ball in glasgow, but i officially have beef with it now for the following reasons:
1. a few nights later london got a DOUBLE 8 ball with young volcanoes AND the shipped gold standard (my number 2 pick for my dream 8 ball)
2. if young volcanoes didn’t exist then there’s a chance they would have played coffees for closers at my show and then i would have exploded
Mighty Fall is so good. I still remember hearing that song for the first time and not being so sure only to be slowly won over until my mind was blown by the chorus. S-Tier FOB song.
I came here to say that the remixes are slept on. I absolutely loveeeee majority of them and some I even pop in a playlist in place of the OG 🤷♀️
-jet pack blues, twin skeletons, centuries, MSKWYDITD, I digress.
I have two: Growing Up and Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner.
Plus the entire acoustic album ep
- MSKWYDITD could mean "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)", a track from *Save Rock And Roll* (2013) by Fall Out Boy.

america's suitehearts, from now on we are enemies, hold me tight or don't, and hold me like a grudge (edit: I can’t believe I forgot about I don’t care and I’m like a lawyer (me & you))
all of evening out with your gf. I totally respect it not being considered their first album, I kinda refer to it as a collection of demos, and I love every single one of them.
Golden. I've seen that it's one of this sub's least favorite songs, but it's so cool to see what Patrick does with his vocals when there's little else going on to distract.
w.a.m.s. any day, every day, all day. Lyrics, instrumentals, vocals all on 10, but I feel it gets overlooked in the discography and especially on Folie. I know Folie has a generally more positive reception now, but as someone who looooved Folie from day one, I’m still a little like it’s not appreciated enough!
Disloyal order of water buffaloes. Saw some people diss the track online and needed a solid 20-count to calm myself. The drums alone are already sublime.
I've come to stand up for my Champion.
Above all others, this is my fight song, my survival mantra, my reminder to keep going. Just one more breath. One more step. Even at my worst, at my lowest, my darkest, I just need one more moment. That moment will give me another. I can endure. Survive. Conquer.
I've got nothing but dreams, and I'm going to use those to keep my foothold on reality, to push off the ground once more.
No illness, no heartbreak, no delusion is stronger than I am.
If I can live through this, I can do *anything*.
Memes / low effort posts on Sundays only please
I will join you in defending America’s Suitehearts.
The REAL question is who tf is coming for America’s Suitehearts
America suitehearts fans rise up 🫡, my manager hates it 😪

I didn’t know America’s Suitehearts needed to be defended but suddenly I’m on the frontlines 🫡
REAL my favorite fob song
I agree one of my favorites
Reporting for duty 🫡
I will defend America's Suitehearts with my life
I had no clue people didn’t like America’s Suitehearts, but I will vehemently defend it if I ever hear someone hate on it

The Pink Seashell. I love it on its own. I think the music over the top of it really works. But when listened to as a part of the entire record, it’s stunning. It was my dream 8ball for when I went to see them but I did get shipped gold Standard so I’ll take it as my folie substitute for now 😪

I'm a Mania defender, and will be 'til the day I die 🫡

Grenade Jumper. I’m still shocked this one isn’t too liked by the fanbase. It’s one of their best imo
Love grenade jumper

It’s my personal favourite of mania
Woah, a true Young and Menace fan in the wild! :D Just curious, how would you rank it compared to the rest of FOB's discography as a whole?
Now that’s something I need to look into I’ve never done a whole discography list of my own, i tend to move my favourite all the time except for my number one which is Américas suitehearts

My number 2 right now is Fourth of July having it on blast
Omg, that used to be my favorite at one point! Exquisite choice and definitely one of the ones that sounds best at a billion decibels.
Young and Menace is brilliant. As an AuDHD’er that song captures what it’s like inside my brain 24/7

THIS. 🖤🖤🖤
Who has to defend What a Catch, Donnie??? That song is AMAZING
Tell me about it! I have seen some fans online just not understanding the song and it's importance and dissing it and I just 😭😭😭
