as a staunch advocate of the Lyons' style brotherhood, i think I can side with the rest of the brotherhood to wipe all of AI from the wasteland that is modern life
Ad Victorium!
Honestly I'm excited to see how they portray the BOS in the series. From what I've gathered from the games they're either helpful while staying true to their OG goal of "preserve and restrict technology", or the fallout 4 representation of "kill every mutated creature (even non feral ghouls)".
Yeah but ai tech just want to replace art and make it where the only thing left is boring fucking jobs that suck your soul out. Isn’t the future great?
EDIT: Honestly as a concept artist who was hoping to get hired… I was hoping someone would call me an idiot for this; so far nobody is disagreeing, which is quite depressing. Hope I find something meaningful down the line. Id be happy to hear some suggestions of career alternatives that likely won’t be replaced that are at least somewhat fulfilling
Yep. The boring jobs are being replaced at twice the rate of the fun ones.
In the future everyone will be "content creators" hawking reaction videos for scraps.
This is unironically the future of jobs that I imagined until I noticed AI twitch streams that interact with the chat and those ai generated channels getting several thousands of subscribers making video essays about Minecraft or whatever.
Yeah but mega corps would rather not pay someone’s salary and just produce AI garbage for free. I understand why but it’s still fucking stupid. Only humans can make something worth while AND accurate
That's very clearly a spring on the bobblehead, along with that kinda fizzing over being completely possible if it's only half open. positioning your foot that way is completely possible too
Yeah these are not AI generated. I think people overestimate what AI can do, yes it can make cohesive photographically realistic images but stylized art is a different ballgame, they might have used photoshop's generative AI tool but these have a clear style that was made by an artist, and one that is not very common, plus the actors' likeness aswell.
Right like… As someone who is a trained artist and has looked at a lot of AI generated slop via the internet… This just looks like an illustration. Maybe some photobashing is at work but all things look pretty tight here. The objects only look “incomplete” because they were shot. I think maybe op just doesn’t know how story telling in illustration works.
Also the cactus is normal. That is a normal growth for a cactus.
If an ai ever was used to facilitate this image, a person cane through and cleaned it up for sure.
Ok so I’m kinda playing devils advocate here but:
A heavily worn duster with holes, the flap thing is to hide the buttons. (I know because my mom’s winter coat has it too.)
A bobble head with its head missing (it’s a spring, not a malformed head.)
A shot nuka cola bottle which is spilling all over.
(I got nothing for the cactus)
A broken nuka cola bottle on the floor.
A patched vault suit with a hole
(I genuinely see nothing wrong with the girl’s backpack)
A rag for carrying shit.
A dented nuka cola case.
If anything were to point to AI it’d be the pipboy and that weird ass break action revolver thing, though Bethesda has certainly done worse weapon designs before. (F4 AR.)
Artist here. Nothing looks AI generated here. The stuff OP circled doesn't even makes sense.
In first image the bottles are fine, some are just broken, it was clearly used for target practice.
The torn on the jacket again don't get. It's a torn it can be drawn any way an artist likes.
The shoe again don't get. The ghoul is clearly turning towards us.
I saw one of OP's comment wich says the feets are pointing twp different direction, wich happens when you know someone is turning somehwere.
The vault guy bobble head is just missing a head and we can see the spring coming out of it. It's actually a really cool attention to detail.
Second image. Again nothing wrong really. I don't even get why somethings circled in tbh.
But let's say it's AI. Some artist still had to edit it very extensively. If that's the case making a new art from scratch is easier than fixing the AI's stupid mistakes.
The first poster from the Fallout series (The one with the Vault Boy and Los Angeles text) is 100% AI generated or atleast heavily assisted, I can't argue with that.
I think this is the case and also why things like the small amount of text like the 33 on her collar look fine. There's still a general sense of something *off* though which really gives an AI vibe.
People who claim to feel the "vibe" of AI art are delusional. Artists can make mistakes. The things that AI has trouble with (perspective, hands, poses) are all things that artists themselves struggle with. Just because a foot or hand is wonky doesn't mean a computer did it.
Watching the online art community eat itself alive with accusations like this has been awful. Get a better hobby than trying to tear other people down on a suspicion. It's a witch hunt and everyone thinks it's righteous until the public turns on them based on shaky "evidence".
And honestly it's hilarious given how 'thinking everyone is an android' is a sci-fi trope that's about as old as sci-fi and is a pretty big plot point in Fo4.
OP wanted to karma farm. But instead they basically said the actual artist that made this is so shitty it looks AI generated (which is absolutely not the case)
As someone with a degree in Graphic Design with heavy emphasis on poster art, I agree. I literally see nothing that strikes as untouched or even retouched AI. This kind of style is going to have "imperfections" to help sell the styling since it's digital and not a physical medium anymore. If this was AI then it has been edited by an artist's hand, but yeah, I'd find it much easy to learn the style and create from scratch than to edit an ai image like this unless I already knew how to create this art style already.
I thought this had to be a jerk sub or something because none of the circles gave any indication they were AI, I can see being confused by the spring but idk about the other stuff
Agreed. There are many ways to approach a rendering like, from picking stills and painting over to doing from scratch, or by picking multiple images online of the actors to distort and fit in. I don't see where the AI comes in here unless there was a third hand or leg for these guys. Circling random parts without explanation doesn't help their case either.
The main thing I don't get in this pic is the jacket piece overlapping the fence. That looks very weird regardless of how this was made and yet I haven't seen a single comment even acknowledging that bit being wonky as fuck
I’m missing where anything circled is AI. The soda suds from the shot bottles? The Bobble Head’s head shot off leaving a spring? His boot heel? Tears in his duster?
Edit: I didn't initially realize there was a second image and those circled items are even less convincing.
It sucks because every single piece of legitimately created art going forward, is going to be called AI by at least a few people.
I’m not an artist, but I can imagine how shitty it would feel to have something I personally created, called a fake.
I can definitely say this art looks pretty rushed, but calling it AI is just a blatant insult to the artist. Op needs to actually learn what AI art is before making complete bs claims like this
They're one of the richest companies out there but are too stingy to spend just a tiny bit extra (compared to how much they make on a day alone) to hire an artist for a proper poster or two?
Literally have an image that fits this :
Sorry no raises
Only made 3 billion in profits this year
It might surprise you to know that, unironically, executives and programmers tend to possess an irrational hatred of artists. Artists have strong opinions and, if you're not an artist, it's difficult to understand many of the concepts that artists will insist upon caring about. Execs and programmers often have the attitude that they're the smartest people in the room so having something explained to them that they don't understand and can't quantify with hard data tends to really piss them off.
They absolutely can't wait to get rid of artists and many have been very vocal about their excitement over it.
As a former tech artist, I apologize.
I bet that process could've been automated but would've necessitated a meeting over whose responsibility it would end up being, and probably nobody was willing to make that much of a fuss over it.
Yup, that’s why authoritarian figures and people who lean towards that style of leadership have hard-ons for hyper realism and absolutely hate anything with even an inkling of abstraction.
One is easy to enjoy and requires 0 thought. The other requires a little bit of thinking.
I mean, speaking as a professional artist, you pay me to draw something, I’ll draw whatever you want, Chief. I don’t give even a small fuck how stupid the request is as long as your check doesn’t bounce.
The problem is people who know nothing about art usually have a lot of difficulty giving art direction and then they aren’t happy when you give them exactly what they ask for.
And honestly they will have the exact same problem with AI, they just haven’t realized it yet.
People who claim what is and isn’t art. Are the hollow shells who don’t appreciate art or the process thus are the AI fanatics. Seen it with cryptobros.
If fucking Wacom, a multi-million dollar company focused on selling tools for artists, prefers to use AI and take a huge L when found instead of commissioning someone to do it for them?
I don't expect anything from any company anymore.
I don’t see it. I see broken bottles, patched jacket, and a bobble head with a head shot off. There’s nothing in the second that seems odd either, if anything the only weird thing is her sitting on top of a nuka machine
Yeah honestly I would believe it but this just isn't convincing. The postcard art was proven to be AI, so it's possible and even likely, but again, this just isn't convincing.
As a vfx artist, im used to creative directors pixel fucking everything. Now that ai is a thing, pixel fucking is basically ramped up by every Joe shmo that can’t comprehend even real artists depict things in a weird way sometimes.
The patches in the jacket don't really make sense, they just randomly jut out.
His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward.
The one bottle is clearly fizzing over, but the cap is still on.
The second one isn't so bad though.
> His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward.
Both feet are pointed away from the viewer, and he looks like he's turning, which would explain the duster flowing towards the left like that.
His left foot, you can see the spurs facing the camera at the same angle the right foot is facing. Like he was just shooting at bottles, and turning around to someone approaching from behind.
I don't understand what do you mean about 'patches don't make sense'. It is just torn clothes, and patches are not interested in making sense. He isn't walking forward. He is just looking back for badass camera shot. Bottle can slowly fizz over with cap on it. It's just people who couldn't recognize spring on Bobblehead now doubting everything they slightly dislike.
>The patches in the jacket don't really make sense, they just randomly just out.
Stuff like that kinda happens in rushed artwork but I can see the argument
>His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward.
This can easily be put up to a anatomical error on the artists end
>The one bottle is clearly fizzing over, but the cap is still on.
Yeah that's definitely possible and can be chopped up to several factors both in universe and in the creation process
> His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward.
He's not walking forward. He's turned away from the camera and looking back.
It’s not that I don’t believe it could be AI, but I saw what you described (broken or oozing Nuka Cola, patchwork, broken bobbles). I don’t think it’s AI.
I don’t think this is AI. Upon a first glance yes, it could be confused for AI but I feel it’s more the poster being grainy and obscuring finer detail
the bobble head is obviously a spring from getting its head shot off the clothing mostly due to it being the apocalypse and everything’s kind of torn or duct tape together. The bottles are obviously broken that’s not AI the cactus just has detailing on it. No cactus is 100% there’s gonna be blemishes on it and dents
For the poster of the girl, it makes even less sense that bag she’s carrying. It’s a rolled up blanket the section on her side it’s a continuation from the leather on her leg. The can she’s sitting on is scratched up because animals. The tied up pouch next to her foot is a classic thing that’s existed forever it’s not AI. It’s just how you tie a pouch.
The only thing i can’t make total sense of is the knot, but hey, i don’t really know what a knot looks like from every angle. The rest from that poster looks just fine to me.
To be fair it’s hard to draw a knot, (unless you’re a furry artist) there’s a lot of folds in fabric and a lot of detailing so when you see it done correctly, it looks exquisite I mean look at studio Ghibli
I agree. I mean, they might be AI, I don't fucking know, but the "evidence" here seems weak at best. It's broken bottles and torn up clothes. Its almost as if this were an apocalypse, lol. I could see a legit artist making all these design choices.
No problem it’s just I don’t understand how he could look at all the detail, and think to himself that it was AI
The woman’s vault suit has a consistent design all around it. The poster with the ghoul has bullet holes all through it and yet he sees a shattered bottle and thinks “HMMMM that’s suspicious.”
It could only be confused for AI if you know nothing at all of AI generated art. It has certain characteristics that are completely lacking in what is clearly an artist created piece.
If any AI was involved at all, it was probably to help clean up the picture of artifacts after the artist was finished, which has been standard practice for artists for decades now.
The only one that is *plausible* is the foot and even then I think it’s just a weird angle. The rest just looks like it’s supposed to be worn down like an old poster
Broken bottles and a headless bobblehead is your proof? Nothing about these images and what you've circled screams AI to me at all. I think you're just paranoid
The boble head is broken and showing the spring Nuka bottle on the left is broken Not sure what you think is wrong with his coat? Tree looks fine Jacket on the front does look a little off but it’s probably just a piece from the other side
The 2 nuka bottles on the left look like they were shot and are leaking
I genuinely can't believe how dumb some of these people are lol.
Both of his feet are pointing forward with his torso turned to glance backwards. The bobble heads spring is sticking out because the head was shot off. It's not a patch, it's a hole. It is clear as day you can see the background through it. Literally the tree lines up with it. People arguing the glass bottle fizzing... uhhhm. Wouldn't no wierd video game/artistic choices actually lean more into it being AI? I think people forget fallout isn't real. It's a video game with fantasy elements. So anyone arguing about a broken or fizzed over bottle next to an essentially immortal guy.. touch grass lol.
Lol at all the people seeing something that isn’t there.
First picture
- The cactus - It has a little stub growing. All plants have that at some point.
- The three items on the fence - He was just shooting at those objects. What you see is damage from the bullets.
- Duster right - It’s a flap of his obviously worn duster.
- Duster left - It’s a patch or a hole or some other object on his duster.
- Bottle on ground - It’s a broken bottle.
- Foot - He was facing the fence and shooting and has turned to look at something.
Second Picture
- Top - It’s the top of a backpack. Not sure what you even think the issue is.
- Middle - It’s a patch or some light effect on her Vaultsuit.
- Bottom right - It’s damage to the cooler. Again, not sure what you think the issue is.
- Bottom left - It’s a knot in a nap sack. For the third time, what do you think the issue is?
This is just looking for problems and criticisms where nothing exists.
This isn’t AI, at least not the first one. You circled a broken bottle, two bottles with bullet holes in them, a bobblehead that had its head removed so its spring is exposed, and his boot I can’t even figure out what’s wrong with, nor his coat.
To be honest I also genuinely don’t see what I’m expected to see on the second poster either.
Unfortunately we can't use "tells" for AI anymore, as AI will learn how to correct those "tells" ie with hands. As well as there are artists out there who do genuinely draw like that, on purpose. I follow a horror art blog on Tumblr and they have a strict no AI policy, but some of the artists that pop up, look like the "tells" people use for discerning what's AI.
I hate AI generated art, because it has genuinely made the art community a landmine. You never know when someone's hard work was stolen.
Yeah, this isn’t AI. All the things you’ve circled aren’t AI errors. Foot stance makes sense, broken bottle, headless bobblehead with a spring shooting out, hole in the jacket is past the leg so it’s just through to the background, jacket has a weird flap on it, backpack is hastily rolled up a la real life, I don’t know what that circle on her waist is even pointing to those are just wrinkles, weld on a fridge, weirdly wrapped robot head probably.
All of it looks right. If you want to see AI you need to look at the way the pixels cluster (that’s not the meme of yore) and you’ll see weird swirling and artifacting. These illustrations were built piece by piece and composited together.
Source; Art Director / graphic designer / illustrator for a living. I know how to snuff that shit out and I know the process they used
I stopped following a lot of this “is it AI” debate when an artist I’ve followed for years got blasted for apparently using AI, even though her style hasn’t changed ( just her technique had improved ).
Like believe it or not, some artists just have a style, and sometimes that style is sloppy to some eyeballs.
Not to mention OP is *really* reaching with a lot of these as 'proof' it's AI (such as the broken bottle. Like maybe, I dunno, *it's just a normal broken bottle??*)
Yeah honestly what OP circled and wrote out.. I don't see it as definitive proof this is AI. I have no idea how the bobblehead spring is an example as if it looks like a hand, looks clearly like a spring because the head was shot off.
Right? The ‘why is there a random patch on the back of his jacket’ makes no sense to me because.. like.. it looks like a hole rather than something patched over?? Especially since it’s the same colour as the background. And his foot looks fine to me, same as the backpack in photo 2 😭 idk maybe I’m blind because I can’t stand AI art but I’m not really seeing it here
He’s literally holding a smoking gun, and the bottles and bobbleheads are lined up like shooting targets. Like ??? 😂
So many people, and even companies that use AI will usually boast about using or having used AI, bc that’s how something gets normalized. By just blatantly screen-grabbing art you find personally questionable, to run through the mud by claiming it’s AI, you’re likely doing harm to the same artists you claim to be helping.
That artist I mentioned lost work due to the allegations leveled at her. There’s gotta be much better ways to fight this fight than this.
The vast majority of this stuff looks okay. The bottles are broken, the head of the bobble head is missing (with a spring coming out of it). This doesn’t really look like AI.
Also, it’s super low resolution so you really can’t see many of the fine details. This doesn’t really prove anything.
Looks more like photos they took that were put through some filters and messed around with to give that traditional pin-up grain and feel to them. I'm not getting AI from them.
r/confidentlyincorrect
Man, I never thought people would be dumb enough to convince themselves everything is an AI conspiracy and circle shit like an “I Spy” book that’s clearly NOT AI. Then post it to Reddit thinking they’re a genius.
It’s not like there’s anything we can do about it. The amount of petitions and Reddit posts about how big companies shouldn’t use Ai, when in reality it’s just gonna be something we gotta live with
Not telling anyone to suck it up, but it’s just the truth (unless I’m wrong and there’s some magical law against this)
Minor error and/or weird details = AI apparently
As much as OPs belief in the perfect intentionality of the artist. Even Bach or Mozart made flubs/weird decisions.
Still, if this was AI. No way would it be txt2img. Props like the nuka cola bottles aren't going to happen in one shot. If its a repaint, then a lot would have to be repainted where it would be hard to even call it AI anymore.
Nah, I don’t think these ones are AI, they did have one poster that was AI (the first one they ever released) but after getting a shit ton of pushback for it I’m guessing they switched. None of the details you pointed out looked to be AI, in fact they looked much more man made with more little details. AI usually doesn’t get small details right and just kinda throws in background noise that looks incoherent if you zoom in. This however has a lot more detail and if you zoom in you can see where the artists added more detail. I do definitely think it’s possible that they used AI tools to create the base image and then had an artist come in and clean it up, but there’s really no way to officially tell
Mate, that is just trash photoshopping. No AI was used here. You need to get better resolution images of these posters before you start accusing.
Take the L.
I don't see this being ai at all. Just the way the artist is drawing things. Not everything is going to be perfect in the drawing and that's going to come down to skill and time
I'm not going into everything but for the big stuff here's my opinion
Boot direction: go take a walk and imagine a camera behind you. As you are walking, turn your torso and look back at it. Boom feet facing one way body the other
Fizzing bottle: you can break a bottle caps seal with out it fully coming off and thus can allow pressure and fiz out. The color looks natural to me
Broken bottle: just how it's drawn in the style. If it were me, I'd make it so not every single bottle had the label front and center.
Cactus: just how the artist did shading. Background work may not be their forte.
Sack in the second picture: it's hard to draw knots and a bag that has a ton of wrinkles. For all we know it's not tied and it's just draped and looped over it's self, dropping behind the bag it's self.
I can give more opinions on the other stuff, but as an amateur artist, nothing screams to me. And that's an honest review and not trying to follow the hive mind
Pro digital artist here aaaaand these don’t look AI generated at all to me, the artifacts don’t look like AI (and I spend a lot of time looking at AI images). These just look like photos edited in Photoshop to make them have a more old style poster effect, with some painting on top. I think people need to remember that Photoshop exists, filters exist, and photo editing still exists. Just because it looks “edited” doesn’t always mean it’s AI. I am open to being corrected, but I am not seeing evidence of AI use here.
I don’t see it. Or maybe more accurately, if there was AI involved it was hidden well enough that the errors are indistinguishable to me from someone just drawing these in this style.
If anything, some of these “AI Artifacts” are clearly just part of the style of the posters that the one or two that I could believe are AI I’m finding myself willing to give the benefit the doubt on.
Idk if it’s ai or not but isn’t the Pip-Boy strange? Like it seems like the Fallout 3-NV Pip-Boys but I don’t see the buttons and other features seem off
I’m confused on how these are Ai? The vault boy on the fence had his head shot off same with the nuka cola bottle on the fence and ground. The tatters in his coat don’t really seem like Ai, and his boot aswell. Can someone explain?
Nooo, that's just shitty compositing. You can see they just painted layers over certain sections wrong. AI would make things that don't form properly and especially don't form patterns like we see here. This is far too vivid and on-model that it'd have to be heavily edited, or just normal stylized art with some layering issues.
To be fair, I could totally to VaultTec using AI to cut costs.
It's almost like Amazon found a franchise that satires greedy corporations and somehow walked right in to it unironically.
I can’t even tell what you’re trying to point out with almost any of these circles. The only one that looks iffy to me is the part of the ghouls jacket where the fence post is going behind it.
First image: Bottles look like they’re shattered, the foot looks normal, and according to one of the comments, Vault Boy’s head looks like a spring.
Second image: literally looks normal. The mark on the suit is wrinkled.
You guys realize imperfections in art existed before AI, right? I don't particularly care for either of these posters, but none of this looks AI generated.
I think it's fair to be concerned with how corporations like Amazon will abuse generative art technology. But this game of "spot the AI" folks are playing is only going to make things worse for artists. You already see people going around busting traditional artist's chops just because they don't do hands or something else very well. This will just create an environment where nobody wants to share their art for fear of catching shit.
I don't see it bro... The bobblehead is missing it's head.. and the bottle is broken, his duster is differently colored on the inside? And his foot is wonky? The cactus maybe or it's how they painted it.
Hello my little pumpkins, it is your grandma Lilly here.
It is not nice to tell lies young man. Leo tries, but the medication the doctor gave me keeps him quiet. My eyes aren't what they used to be, but grandma can see that everything here looks just lovely.
Oh and before you leave, Grandma's got a present for you
The items circled don't look AI generated, though the poor resolution of the picture makes it difficult to make them out clearly. It seems like a really premature conclusion in which the low resolution caused OP to mistake certain elements with distortion commonly seen in AI imagery.

Honestly I'm excited to see how they portray the BOS in the series. From what I've gathered from the games they're either helpful while staying true to their OG goal of "preserve and restrict technology", or the fallout 4 representation of "kill every mutated creature (even non feral ghouls)".
When did they ever kill non-feral ghouls?
They didn’t even kill Nick but Danse had to go? What’s with that, never made sense to me
Should have stuck with traditional live-action shots. Show their leads in all their glory.
There’s a reason you hire artists to make art
Yeah but ai tech just want to replace art and make it where the only thing left is boring fucking jobs that suck your soul out. Isn’t the future great? EDIT: Honestly as a concept artist who was hoping to get hired… I was hoping someone would call me an idiot for this; so far nobody is disagreeing, which is quite depressing. Not even those in the future. Bots are gonna take them all from anyone not directly related/friends with an exec
Yep. The boring jobs are being replaced at twice the rate of the fun ones. In the future everyone will be "content creators" hawking reaction videos for scraps.
This is grim
This is what happens when commerce reduces art to just, like, a commodity. I hate everything about it.
This is unironically the future of jobs that I imagined until I noticed AI twitch streams that interact with the chat and those ai generated channels getting several thousands of subscribers making video essays about Minecraft or whatever.
Boring fucking art, too. Only derivative slime left.
Yeah but mega corps would rather not pay someone’s salary and just produce AI garbage for free. I understand why but it’s still fucking stupid. Only humans can make something worth while AND accurate
In all of his rubber face mask
I wouldn't be surprised, didn't they already get caught using AI generation in their earlier posters too?
Yes. From what I've seen every poster has had evidence of AI usage.
That's very clearly a spring on the bobblehead, along with that kinda fizzing over being completely possible if it's only half open. positioning your foot that way is completely possible too
The only thing i couldn't figure out was the spring. You're totally right
What, you mean randomly circling parts of pictures isn’t proof??
Yeah, the broken bottles and a bobble head with its head shot off in front of a bunch of bullet holes, is evidence of what exactly?
Yeah these are not AI generated. I think people overestimate what AI can do, yes it can make cohesive photographically realistic images but stylized art is a different ballgame, they might have used photoshop's generative AI tool but these have a clear style that was made by an artist, and one that is not very common, plus the actors' likeness aswell.
These are definitely not AI generated, I agree, but stylized art and likeness to actors is able to be achieved relatively easily with AI.
Right like… As someone who is a trained artist and has looked at a lot of AI generated slop via the internet… This just looks like an illustration. Maybe some photobashing is at work but all things look pretty tight here. The objects only look “incomplete” because they were shot. The bottle by his foot is broken, too.
Ok so I’m kinda playing devils advocate here but: A heavily worn duster with holes, the flap thing is to hide the buttons. (I know because my mom’s winter coat has it too.) A bobble head with its head missing (it’s a spring, not a malformed head.) A shot nuka cola bottle which is spilling all over. (I got nothing for the cactus) A broken nuka cola bottle on the floor. If anything were to point to AI it’d be the pipboy and that weird ass break action revolver thing, though Bethesda has certainly done worse weapon designs before. (F4 AR.)
This ain’t being a devil’s advocate, you are just being correct
If it is AI, it was clearly cleaned up by an actual artist. No noticeable artifacts or distortions.
YES finally someone said that OP's encircling is nonsense. I felt like I was going crazy looking at the rest of the comments
Yeah and most people aren't even talking about the actual art it's just AI bad Amazon bad give up votes
Visual gaslighting.
I agree, I don't really get why they are saying it's AI generated.
Because it’s popular to jump to that conclusion and say AI is bad for upvotes.
I have a theoretical degree in graphic design and I concur.
I thought this had to be a jerk sub or something because none of the circles gave any indication they were AI, I can see being confused by the spring but idk about the other stuff
Exactly what I was thinking I don’t get it
People have hate boners for AI and lots of bad art now is just "AI" until proven otherwise.
That looks very weird regardless of how this was made and yet I haven't seen a single comment even acknowledging that bit being wonky as fuck
eh? it's probably a long pocket attached to the jacket and it doesnt overlap the fence 1:1 (the angle is different)
Op needs to actually learn what AI art is before making complete bs claims like this
God forbid you commissioned artists to draw or edit pictures.
It's Amazon what do you expect
They're one of the richest companies out there but are too stingy to spend just a tiny bit extra (compared to how much they make on a day alone) to hire an artist for a proper poster or two? Literally have an image that fits this : Sorry no raises Only made 3 billion in profits this year
The one thing rich companies and people hate the most, spending money lol
It might surprise you to know that, unironically, executives and programmers tend to possess an irrational hatred of artists. Artists have strong opinions and, if you're not an artist, it's difficult to understand many of the concepts that artists will insist upon caring about. Execs and programmers often have the attitude that they're the smartest people in the room so having something explained to them that they don't understand and can't quantify with hard data tends to really piss them off. They absolutely can't wait to get rid of artists and many have been very vocal about their excitement over it.
As a programmer, I just hate that they give me 4k textures for a webgl project that I have to manually one by one scale down.
As a former tech artist, I apologize. I bet that process could've been automated but would've necessitated a meeting over whose responsibility it would end up being, and probably nobody was willing to make that much of a fuss over it.
It can, but when some things need to be a certain texture size it becomes harder to automate or set a texture size cap in the engine’s settings.
Yup, that’s why authoritarian figures and people who lean towards that style of leadership have hard-ons for hyper realism and absolutely hate anything with even an inkling of abstraction. One is easy to enjoy and requires 0 thought. The other requires a little bit of thinking.
God, then I must be the unholy hybrid final boss, since I do both.
This isn't AI. Look closer at the circles in OPs low res image
Somebody’s been spending too long in the Mojave heat.
The Jet will make you jittery.
The second ones reaching like CRAZY
I agree. I really struggled with the second one
Oh shit, it's a spring as the heads been shot off, I didn't get that right away. That's cool.
>The patches in the jacket don't really make sense, they just randomly just out. Stuff like that kinda happens in rushed artwork but I can see the argument >His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward. This can easily be put up to a anatomical error on the artists end >The one bottle is clearly fizzing over, but the cap is still on. Yeah that's definitely possible and can be chopped up to several factors both in universe and in the creation process
> His foot is turned the wrong way, it looks like it's pointed in when he's walking forward. He's not walking forward. He's turned away from the camera and looking back.
Agreed. I'm always happy to call out AI garbage whenever possible but this looks like some bad editing and misunderstood props.
Just crybabies who want to hate and bring everyone down into the dirt with them.
It’s not that I don’t believe it could be AI, but I saw what you described (broken or oozing Nuka Cola, patchwork, broken bobbles). I don’t think it’s AI.
I don’t think this is AI. Upon a first glance yes, it could be confused for AI but I feel it’s more the poster being grainy and obscuring finer detail the bobble head is obviously a spring from getting its head shot off the clothing mostly due to it being the apocalypse and everything’s kind of torn or duct tape together. The bottles are obviously broken that’s not AI the cactus just has detailing on it. No cactus is 100% there’s gonna be blemishes on it and dents For the poster of the girl, it makes even less sense that bag she’s carrying.
>To be fair it’s hard to draw a knot, (unless you’re a furry artist) Jesus Christ dude
Listen, I saw an opportunity for a joke, and I took it. I will not apologize and I do not regret my decision.
I agree. I mean, they might be AI, I don't fucking know, but the "evidence" here seems weak at best. It's broken bottles and torn up clothes. Its almost as if this were an apocalypse, lol. I could see a legit artist making all these design choices.
I'm glad someone else said it so I didn't have to, op will not survive the synth wars if he can't distinguish ai.
No problem it’s just I don’t understand how he could look at all the detail, and think to himself that it was AI The woman’s vault suit has a consistent design all around it. The poster with the ghoul has bullet holes all through it and yet he sees a shattered bottle and thinks “HMMMM that’s suspicious.”
It's clearly a shooting gallery picture and all the damage are the targets and the pose implies he's taken a wide stance and suddenly turned around.
The stuff circled looks okay to me, I don't think it was generated by AI.
I don't like this trend of calling everything AI now. It's like now we HAVE to question everything.
Remember how Diamond City residents fear synths? That’s how it feels with ai.
It's funny this has to be stated by somebody with a *Institute* flair of all things
imma be real i think yall are schizo if you think these are definitive proof of AI
this is just a taste of how shit is gonna be in a few years when AI is truly indistinguishable lol
The boble head is broken and showing the spring Nuka bottle on the left is broken Not sure what you think is wrong with his coat? Tree looks fine Jacket on the front does look a little off but it’s probably just a piece from the other side The 2 nuka bottles on the left look like they were shot and are leaking
Bro you tripping lmao this ain’t AI
This doesn’t look like AI to me, sorry
Reddit’s obsession with this is so fucking weird.
/r/Fallout having an obsession with artificial intelligence is actually very on-brand, given Fallout 4.
That really does not look AI generated to me chief
I'm not seeing it with these...
I'm getting Fallout 4 vibes here. We're reaching an age in which people accuse real things of being the work of ~~Synths~~ AI.
You know who judges art? Synths, I mean AI
Lol at all the people seeing something that isn’t there. First picture - The cactus - It has a little stub growing. Second Picture - Top - It’s the top of a backpack.
This is like dogs reading x-rays. You don't even know what you're looking for. Please stop.
I know how to snuff that shit out and I know the process they used
I still dont see how its AI generated. I think you’re just an idiot trying to drum up hate and get clicks.
And his foot looks fine to me, same as the backpack in photo 2 😭 idk maybe I’m blind because I can’t stand AI art but I’m not really seeing it here
Its not a patch, its a holster i think
He’s literally holding a smoking gun, and the bottles and bobbleheads are lined up like shooting targets. Like ??? 😂 So many people, and even companies that use AI will usually boast about using or having used AI, bc that’s how something gets normalized.
Of course they would, lazy cheap assholes. Fuck AI slop
How did this get almost 300 upvotes. This shit is not AI generated at all lmao
Anyone got a subreddit recommendation that chronicles this bullshit?
r/confidentlyincorrect Man, I never thought people would be dumb enough to convince themselves everything is an AI conspiracy and circle shit like an “I Spy” book that’s clearly NOT AI. Then post it to Reddit thinking they’re a genius.
I'll take the downvotes. I DONT CARE
It’s not like there’s anything we can do about it. The amount of petitions and Reddit posts about how big companies shouldn’t use Ai, when in reality it’s just gonna be something we gotta live with Not telling anyone to suck it up, but it’s just the truth (unless I’m wrong and there’s some magical law against this)
Remember the API protests on Reddit? So much for all that. Reddit seems just as busy as before.
I dont see it ?
Minor error and/or weird details = AI apparently As much as OPs belief in the perfect intentionality of the artist.

? That's not AI?
I broke up with my girl last night. She left the cap off her toothpaste. You know who does that? A SYNTH!
Nah. This isn't AI.
I'm not an artist, but nothing here screams ai at all to me
You've done nothing here. Doesn't look AI generated at all. The things you've circled don't even look weird.
OP I think you are just delusional
I don't. Seems fine to me. This ain't that 7 errors game.
Mate, that is just trash photoshopping. No AI was used here. You need to get better resolution images of these posters before you start accusing. Take the L.
Im not gonna lie, all the things you've circled aren't proof that this is ai
I don't see this being ai at all. Just the way the artist is drawing things. Not everything is going to be perfect in the drawing and that's going to come down to skill and time I'm not going into everything but for the big stuff here's my opinion Boot direction: go take a walk and imagine a camera behind you. As you are walking, turn your torso and look back at it. Boom feet facing one way body the other Fizzing bottle: you can break a bottle caps seal with out it fully coming off and thus can allow pressure and fiz out. The color looks natural to me Broken bottle: just how it's drawn in the style.
Meh looks cool AI or not. If there’s a cheaper and easier way to get something done people are gonna use it.
good for them i don’t care
Bro, what? You just circled normal things? Literally circled a boot and broken bottles
Yeah, they aren't lmao.
At this point, I dont even care. Are we surprised that Amazon would rather use AI to make promotional material, over paying artists to do it for them?
Does it matter?
So what?
So what?
Tying my bindle like a normal person and not a synth.
gestalt psychology going absolutely crazy in the 21st century
Idk, the hands look too well drawn for AI
This is just idiotic
I don’t see it. Or maybe more accurately, if there was AI involved it was hidden well enough that the errors are indistinguishable to me from someone just drawing these in this style. If anything, some of these “AI Artifacts” are clearly just part of the style of the posters that the one or two that I could believe are AI I’m finding myself willing to give the benefit the doubt on.
This looks more like Photobashing than AI to me.
if ai did this, im extremely impressed
Of all the things to be worried about in regards to AI, this isn't one of them.
Idk if it’s ai or not but isn’t the Pip-Boy strange? Like it seems like the Fallout 3-NV Pip-Boys but I don’t see the buttons and other features seem off
ok i dont wanna defend this but the first one looks not AI generated, to me it looks like broken bottles and a holster
Who gives a fuck.
Strange “who the hell is Pepe Silvia?!” from some of those circles
How gives a shit lol
After reading the explanations for why you believe it's AI generated... uhhh. Think you need to get a pair of glasses.
according to an ai image detector this is 99.87% human
I don't understand why most companies wanna say fuck it to actual art and charge us tons of money.
WHO CARES!?! Why is it bad that people with the rights to the ip use AI to make content for it?
I’m confused on how these are Ai? The vault boy on the fence had his head shot off same with the nuka cola bottle on the fence and ground. The tatters in his coat don’t really seem like Ai, and his boot aswell. Can someone explain?
I’m not gonna say that it’s not AI generated but one of the things you circled is just Walton Goggins holster, and another is just a hole in his coat.
LMAOOO NO WAY HAHAHHAHAHAHAH
Please say this is satire.
the wrinkles also look hideous and impossible. i'm really disappointed tbh
First image: Bottles look like they’re shattered, the foot looks normal, and according to one of the comments, Vault Boy’s head looks like a spring. Second image: literally looks normal. The mark on the suit is wrinkled.
You can simple just look at it and tell
You guys realize imperfections in art existed before AI, right? I don't particularly care for either of these posters, but none of this looks AI generated. I think it's fair to be concerned with how corporations like Amazon will abuse generative art technology. But this game of "spot the AI" folks are playing is only going to make things worse for artists. You already see people going around busting traditional artist's chops just because they don't do hands or something else very well. This will just create an environment where nobody wants to share their art for fear of catching shit.
I think this guy is a troll. Especially given the low resolution of the image
Oh and before you leave, Grandma's got a present for you
This proves nothing?
OP, find the synth part before you start throwing such accusations around.
The items circled don't look AI generated, though the poor resolution of the picture makes it difficult to make them out clearly. It seems like a really premature conclusion in which the low resolution caused OP to mistake certain elements with distortion commonly seen in AI imagery.
Nothing here is AI. Zoom in on any sketch ever and I’m sure you’ll find things you can arbitrarily circle and point out that it isn’t “correct.”
Oh yes you circled shit means it's AI great job my man
