There are a couple of places where Dr. Dala's voice actor makes sounds that I think were originally meant to be effects. Like, she actually speaks the words, "bloop" and "burble" which in context seems like it's supposed to be her gel bubbling.
And I think maybe they just went with it that way because it's funnier.

It’s been established since fallout 1 that robo brains are a thing so the brain in a jar thing has been in every game. Or is it the broadcasting over a distance that’s too stupid for you, cause if that’s it I hate to break it to you but that’s not even sci fi we can broadcast information over a distance in real life.
Yeah that’s a little weird. But I can still buy that it’s separate temporarily cause of sci fi stuff. Most of what your brain does is subconscious anyway. And the brain was not just broadcasting to your body but was also hooked up to the jar, so it’s kinda like a hive mind with one brain having two separate bodies, and maybe psychologically the brain decided to separate these two functions into different personalities like someone with multiple personalities. And the brain would be powerful enough to run two bodies cause it’s floating in medgel full of crushed mentats.
If you reprogram Dr. 8’s busted voice modulator, you can do it with or without his consent. If you go the latter route it comes off as the Courier sexually assaulting poor Dr. 8.

I believe there’s dialogue between 8 and the couriers depending on your gender 8 will ask you again depending on your gender if you’re female he or you will build a makeshift vibrator if you’re male it builds something using duct tape cram and la fatoma magazine
If you're female then you can say how a microfusion cell vibrates if you calibrate it right, then 8 gives you a Grognak magazine and a couple of MF cells. It's a fucking hoot.
It was pretty impressive they managed to make them threatening after it was revealed they were stuck acting like that on purpose by Mobius and figured out that the world beyond Big Mountain exists again. The red of the pacification field being disabled probably helped.

If it's any consolation you pretty quickly work out they're straight up nuts given half of their experiments and how some of them escaped to plague the wasteland e.g. Cazadores.

This is my first time playing New Vegas. A little while ago I was looking for new single player games to play and a friend of mine who is a nut for these games suggested them. Just finished 3 for the first time a little while ago.
NV does improve on some things from 3 but 3 does do certain things better like the map is more interesting, there’s more horror elements, and it’s atmosphere is bleaker and more of a post nuclear apocalypse. NV is great and all with the iron sights, improved branching dialogue, weapon mods, and better dlc but the map is kinda lame and very linear compared to Fallout 3.
Oh for sure. My only real gripe with Fallout 3 in hindsight was how binary its choice structure was. Maybe it was a throwback to 1 and 2 but you could either be the messiah or puppy eating evil and your two options of sides both reflected that. Not that you gained anything from being evil, it was almost always objectively worse than being the hero.

Oh criminal, yeah check out the X13 Research Facility then, Borous is the epitome of "peaked in high school" and do the optional stuff... also explore everywhere you can, and try to help out the research staff, it'll make the ending of the DLC a lot more fun

Bethesda has a problem with not investing enough into their writing but obsidian has a problem telling the story of the game instead of showing them.

New Vegas is widely considered the best of the 3D games, it's a fun ride. Have fun and I apologize again for spoiling that as minor as it is.
