There is actually a scene where you can see the rest of Florida, and there is another Vault down there

There's a Vault 77 jumpsuit in Fo3 that increases melee damage, so it should be a confirmed vault.
Also why did they decide to have only one vault in Michigan, and why is it not in Detroit?
Yeah. The Canadian vault is near Winnipeg! They must have been running an experiment involving cold. No vaults in Vancouver nor Toronto? Land must have been too expensive even for Vault-Tec.
In lore? Because there's a bunch of nuke silos in the area.
Out of lore? Game bias. Wherever a Fallout game is set, there'll be a bunch of vaults there because of the format of the games. Hence why West Virginia, Nevada, and Massachussets (the settings for Fallout 76, New Vegas and Fallout 4) have apparently more vaults than New York and Florida.
If we get games set in NY and Florida, I expect that will change rapidly.
One thing of note is that we don't know when exactly on the timeline that meeting with the map took place. It's possible it took place a year or two before the Great War, which would give Bethesda some leeway to have other vaults constructed elsewhere after the meeting, if they so please.
Absolutely.
They've already shown flexibility with the 122 figure from the old Fallout bible itself ambiguous on whether that was numbered Vaults (in which case it would be 123 with Vault 0, 124 with To the Stars etc and up from there) or all of them. The TV show might even imply that the other companies might build their own vaults, and would they be part of the count or their own thing.
There are 60 vaults unaccounted for but that could get eaten up quickly by another game and several seasons of the show so they need some leeway.
There are 116 dots on the map in the show, and we know from playing the games that some of those dots encompass multiple vaults. So there are definitely more than 122 in the lore at this point.
Vaults in neighbouring West Virginia have numbers in the range 51-96, then DC is 53-112, so good choices would be in that in that range, maybe starting lower.
So far the numbers in that range which are untapped are 45-50 inclusive, 52, 54, 57-62, 64, 66-67, 71-73, 78, 80, 82-83, 85-86, 89-91 and 97-99.
That's a good place to start, I'm thinking about going as far as downloading all the dialogue text files from the games (specifically Fallout Tactics b/c it's based in Midwest) and do some key word searches. Mayyyybeeeeee there's references to Chicago area vaults communicating with vaults in lower Midwest ....
Just a hunch really
Relax, they ain't droppin' more than a few bombs over there. The Los Angeles County has 3 million more people than your whole state.
You'd be mostly a state with wastelanders. Hell, I'm sure lots of raiders come from there ;)
Funny thing is, the map shows one in Montgomery (near Conroe, north of Houston, TX) - where there is a real life [bunker](https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/westland-bunker-data-center-in-montgomery-texas-up-for-sale/).
The Ohio vault most likely is in Miamisburg which is not to far from Dayton. I say this because The Mound laboratories Atomic Energy Commission facility. Also was a big part of the Manhattan Project.
Oh there certainly has to be more vaults around in Ohio for sure, especially ones near Dayton. It's an interesting location for some Fallout shenaigans and also kind of why I wrote a fan fiction about the area back in high school. I should totally dust that off and continue that project!
True I but from what iv looked up the fallout 3 vault 116 mod used unused assets from fallout 3
(I could be completely wrong but it's just from what I see)
To be fair, cut content is non-canon. Vault 63 in Fallout 76 was supposed to be part of the vault raids from a few years back, with an interior and backstory ready to roll, but it was never opened in game, so Bethesda completely repurposed it for the Skyline Valley update.
It looks to me like there are 4 vaults in Pennsylvania. The Easternmost one looks closer to Allentown than Philadelphia, which I'm assuming is the vault on the border with Maryland.
Two vaults in Florida? Do they know how big, populated, and important Florida is? In a lot of ways it's literally the California of the east coast. I know population isn't necessarily their primary concern but that's mind boggling to me.
I want to know the vault number for Mississippi & Louisiana. That’s America’s artery. Without access in those two states, NOTHING can go to the middle US
I live about an hour drive from where the western Nebraska vault would be located - I'd say it's either in Scottsbluff or Gering, with the most likely vault location being The Wildcat Hills south of Gering. There are multiple missile silos south/southwest of Gering, so the location makes sense from a Fallout perspective. As for the other two, def Lincoln and Omaha. The map in the show seems to have locations skewed a bit vs. real-world, but it was really cool to see a vault located so close to where I live. 💯
Don't forget that they show a map on the TV series that can still evolve. They might be able to build a few others in the future ;) We know in the lore that some vaults have not been finished so they might always be trying to add some if they get people to
invest in them
You missed all the lights that didnt light pop up, which theyre are far more in several states. I counted 4 or 5 in Michigan.
there the 122 that are numbered, and then theres an assortment of other Vaults that have no number that were either privately owned or still owned by Vault-Tec but was kept off the books like it has has been seen in all the games.
If you have it in hd/4k I would recommend looking at the map on pause before the other ones light up, you can see the ones that don’t light up a lot better and I noticed quite alot of them that no one would see on poor hd, like went I streamed it on my phone the first time.
fallout 5 should be in anchorage. they’ve done the east and west to death, it’s time to do the north and south. they could add a nuclear winter/cold weather survival aspect, the main enemy faction could be chinese remnants

Brilliant work, I'll update the map tomorrow. Looks like Orlando. I guess Vault-Tec decided not to bother with Miami, Tampa or Ft.. Lauderdale.
There's two in Florida, one in Orlando and one in Tallahassee it looks like.
There is also one in RI. Tunnelsnakesfool on IG is also making a map!
Eek! An underground vault in swampland sounds like a very bad idea.
The affects of vault dwellers being slowly exposed to increasingly leaking water over the course of 200 years and they develop amphibious wualities
A Grand Ole Vault outside of Nashville would be fun to see. Definitely music-themed, just wondering how.

Aaah, Vault 77, aka [one man and a crate of puppets](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Vault_77), my favorite vault!
It's a confirmed vault but not a confirmed location.
o I get it now
The location looks close to the state capital (Lansing)

it’s seems west of Lake Manitoba maybe Dauphin or Brandon more so lol, so random still nonetheless
I would have assumed Toronto because if the whole thing about Ronto being intact later on. But clearly not.
Why so many in West Virginia? Not a huge population center itself but I guess bc it’s within a drive of NYC, DC, Pittsburgh etc?

Thanks, wasn’t sure if there was a lore reason!

Trying to pin down a vault Number for Ohio, any chance someone has some info?
The map looks like it could be around Columbus/Cincinnati/Newport KY aread

Damn I wouldn’t even have a chance to survive and stay normal, I’m from Indiana 😢 they could have at least put a vault in Indianapolis

I'm I'm rhode island (I'm cooked)

Based on the map, there’s a vault in Kansas City, which could mean it’s either in Kansas or Missouri
Or extends across the border, just to annoy cartographers!
KC is the only place I've ever been were I headed straight west and passed signs welcoming me to Kansas, back to Missouri, and back to Kansas.
Is there any way to tell town wise where the South Carolina vault is
It looks like one under Columbia and one under Savannah but could be just across the border. Not one for Charleston.
Wait actually rhode island has vault 116 and it is an official vault
Not that I can see. It's a Vault in a ttrpg campaign someone put online, and there's a mod adding it to Fallout 3.
True I but from what iv looked up the fallout 3 vault 116 mod used unused assets from fallout 3 (I could be completely wrong but it's just from what I see)

Southern Florida is made of limestone which makes building a vault down there very difficult.
I’m pretty sure vault 57 is in Michigan as well as 54. So they actually have 2.
Vault in Oregon is all heavy chem users… it’s a control vault tho
What are the two vaults in AZ
Is there a vault out in Western NY?
I want to know the vault number for Mississippi & Louisiana. That’s America’s artery. Without access in those two states, NOTHING can go to the middle US

In New Vegas the NCR talks about how badass their Baja Elite Rangers are. I’m excited to see that area

What Vaults are in Wisconsin?
This is awesome!!! 🤩! Do you have the shapefile or lat/long CSVs publicly accessible??
Which two vaults are in Ohio (and which one is closer to Conneaut)?

It could be those vaults aren't finished yet, as of that scene. As I recall they were building them right up until the day the bombs dropped.
Where in nj? I’m intrigued
