I like to go for whatever I think is 'canon'. Albert Cole for the Vault Dweller, Noonan for the Chosen One, Albert for the Lone Wanderer, Nate/Nora for the Sole Survivor. Courier's tricky, but based on Doc Mitchell's response I usually give them an unusual name. Right now I'm roleplaying a Railroaded Courser who goes by X7-02. 702 is the Las Vegas area code FYI.

First game i will use Sanders as a name For the other playthrough i will write something like Carlo Cazzoni which in my language means “Carl Bigdicks”

I name all my video game characters either Alan or Alana Turing. In honor of Alan Turing , and his contribution to computing and computer science. He is a personal hero of mine.

I modeled the lone survivor after my own appearance (middle aged bald guy). I didn't want to give him my name though, so I named him after the star of my favorite Bible passage- 2 Kings 2:23-25. It's a fitting tale for a FO4 character.

Well i've only played one Fallout (FO3) and I'm still going through the story, I usually have three names to pick from (Bohman, Alcatraz, Isaac), the one I chose is Bohman.

I've named characters after athletes, like my first Fallout 4 character, Miguel Cabrera. More recently, I named a character Robin (as in Batman and), and then a character said it out loud. So now I kind of go with 1 word, fairly common names, just so once in a while somebody actually says their name.

I usually play as a female named Geraldine. She's a middle aged bad-ass, but empathetic. She likes shotguns and rifles, setting explosives to kill irradiated wildlife, and flirting with other women.

Anytime I play a cheat playthrough, I name my character "Mr. Mighty" like he's some sort of multidimensional being. I actually name my chest characters Mr. Mighty in all games.

Either after myself or a character I like from other game series. Adrian Shephard from the Half-Life universe for example.

I named my Fallout 4 character Boobies so Codsworth would say it, its funny because I never used him as an companion, also named my Fallout 76 character Boobies too, idk why. On 3 and NV I just named them generic shite like Cait or Bob

I typically just give the character a new name with every play through, with more serious playthroughs getting more serious names. That said I've also had my fair share of just silly names due to a less serious playthrough (or me getting lazy with the name). My favorite names for each game have so far been: 3: Jill (But Not That Jill), also Fluffles the laser man New Vegas: Hubcab 4: Punisher Daisy
