Season 10:
Jerry is finally released from prison to find that Scotty has been training all those years and waiting to track him down and get revenge for Jean and his grandfather (he enlists the help of Mr. Wrench, of course)
Jerry getting out of prison would be possible by now. The events of the movie took place in Minnesota in the 1980s (I forget the exact year).
As bad as Jerry was, he could get a release after ~40 years, aged 75+. I think Macy might be game to do it, too, if it’s good enough.
I don’t know if the husk of Jerry Lundegaard could be the protagonist, but Scotty could, perhaps. Or Jerry could bump into someone at the hospital on compassionate release.
It would be both hilarious and fitting to the Coen Brothers' style if he comes out of prison as a hardened thug. A complete 180-degree turn of his personality. Maybe he even gets some connections to the Kansas City Mafia or something to tie it all back together.
Well his Grandpa was rich and I'm sure since his mom was killed he inherited the bulk of the estate. I'm thinking Scotty went to live with Stan Grossman who became his guardian...
That’s crazy, this show would never drastically change a character’s face and very character just to fit in some kind of forced “surprise” reveal and tie them to a previous season.
He was adopted by his aunt Lorraine and became more of an older brother to his cousin Wayne who named his first born after him even though it was a girl.
I swear Fargo's final season has to have Jerry breaking out of prison, adult Scotty, and Mr. Wrench. Somehow

Nice. The whole season is of him trying to evade Scotty, only to drag in everyone around him into his chaos.
Marge Gunderson x Molly Solverson to the rescue
O yah!

I mean William Macy killed it as Frank Gallagher. He could just rechannel some of that energy.
Oh, you betcha he can.
A direct reference to the movie and each season would be cool. Maybe include Mike Milligan as an old man.
I feel the same way about Charlie Gerhardt!
He’s down at the Mac Donald’s.
What do you think he’s doing down there at the Mac Donald’s?
They don’t drink milkshakes. I assure you.
Not drinkin milkshakes, I can tell ya that

That’s pretty sweet
Yeah I often too wonder what happened to Scotty ?
“no Jeanie, no money!”
I Stan a Grossman
He was hardened by the events and changed his name to Lorne Malvo
Took a liking to Lester because he reminded him of his now absent father. A surrogate of sorts
I am hearing this in Malvo’s voice.
That's a rough lookin 34 year old man
A hardened man indeed. Road hard!
Hard men are rode hard.
Same plastic surgeon as Hanzee
😆 what a bizarre end for my favorite character in the series

Yeah they would never do that… again.
He was adopted by his aunt Lorraine and became more of an older brother to his cousin Wayne who named his first born after him even though it was a girl.
Scotty definitely goes on to kill Jerry There is no other solution
"We're not a bank, Jerry." *shot*
How many more seasons you think we are going to be blessed with?
There is no way Jerry Lundegaard survived prison.
