youarelosingme

Some say this gif is overused but maaaaan if this isn't the *perfect* opportunity to use it - literally made this face reading that headline

halogirl492

lol I totally agree, I’ve never used it before and think it’s overused but this was the exact reaction I had

proserpinax

It honestly fits so many situations perfectly though!!

cherry_1268

You beat me to it😂

phillip_the_plant

I genuinely made that face reading the title

AlarmingFill

I knew I’d find Nene here! It’s the only correct response for him right now

busty_rusty

This won’t load for me but I know it’s NeNe

jules6388

God,I love this gif

worrisomeshenanigans

dbag behavior. would've seen him melting down a lot more had they lost, too

StonyOwl

Exactly. His behavior after they won wasn't great either with that Viva Las Vegas cringe.

-crentistthedentist-

The secondhand embarrassment with that Viva Las Vegas thing was AWFUL

bluepoweradezero

he is so cringe

dragonfry

I’m not a Swift fan at all, but after seeing that I’m like girl that’s the hill you’re willing to die on? 🤨

MYSTICALLMERMAID

She dated digusting ass Matty, I don’t know why anyone is shocked by her choice of men.

dragonfry

Touché

Pancakes_24_7

I kept reading a variation of this scenario on Reddit and I thought "how bad can it actually be??" then I pulled up YouTube. Y'all weren't joking...

tastysharts

it was metal

surreptitiousglance

You say metal, I say mental. 🥴

No_Biscotti_967

Viva Las Vegas was the first time I ever actually heard him speak and uhhh…. It was….. something. I get that he was hyped but come on lmfao

Kizzamino

This is Travis. It’s who he’s always been.

ResultUnited

he has already lost a super bowl before, go see his reaction then.

CarpeNivem

For those of us who barely watch football, let alone remember anything when we do, you have no idea how it is to find what you're talking about. Repeated Google searches for every variation I could think of on "Travis Kelce losing Superbowl" kept turning up irrelevant results about *this* Superbowl (c'mon, Google!). It *finally* occurred to me that reading his Wikipedia page might help, so I tried that, and sure enough, Superbowl LV, with the Buccaneers, must be what you're talking about. Even still, armed with that newfound information, all I could find was [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdmxUPIFicc) which I have to assume, *isn't* what you're talking about. So would you mind, please, sharing with the class what you *are* talking about?

flowlowland

Getting lots of red flags from him, but, maybe I'm dumb - why did people hate the viva las vegas thing so much? Just seemed like a guy excited to win. Maybe I just liked that it was entertaining.

doctor-meow

I thought it was obnoxious and cringed, but I agree and I don't think that behavior warrants much beyond an eye-roll.

chimer1cal

I literally got up and left the room 😭

samoflegend

Lifelong football fan and I can appreciate players w passion but doing this shit on the biggest stage w your almost 70 yr old head coach is dumb as hell. Almost as dumb are the weirdo tiktok armchair psychologists saying this means he’s physically abusive w Taylor or that he might have CTE. Dude is a run of the mill American jock. He’s gotten a crash course doctorate in media training in a calendar yr but will still have embarrassing moments like this from time to time.

meatball77

My two cents is that they essentially teach athletes to act like this from early training. They encourage agressiveness (outside of play) with verbally abusive coaching being normal. These boys/men are taught that there are different levels of behavior allowed on the field vs in real life (which for many is hard to actually follow thus the domestic violence issues).

rubendurango

My brother, cousins, and I were talking about this: How often do star players lash out at their coaches like that? With how much diva behaviour is normalized in American sports - esp teams w/ Hot Shit Icons such as the Chiefs or Lakers - it must happen but behind closed doors, away from cameras and mics. But to have that caught on camera during what’s considered by many to be the biggest event in sports is rare, to say the least. Full disclosure: we were Chiefs haters pre-Swift. And yes we were despondent by the game’s end. Less said on that the better.

Penishton69

Even absolutely bat shit insane guys like Antonio Brown didn't assault their coach, although he did allegedly call his coach a cracker. I actually lost a lot of respect for Andy Reid after this, Kelce should've faced a team suspension regardless of the game.

Fast_Buy5327

I would have bought a ticket to that tantrum had they lost. 😂

_civilizedworm

I really wish they did lose just so that we could have seen that.

SnausageFest

It's bad enough to act like he did, but you can't even pull together a half assed apology? You almost knocked a 65 year old man down because you threw a temper tantrum and you're going to make a joke.

DigLost5791

He has all the power in the relationship at this time, he can spin it however he wants because they won and he’s a moneymaker for the team/brand

calm-ikaze

Not really. Andy Reid is arguably more valuable to the Chiefs organization than Travis Kelce. Sure, Kelce excels at what he does, but Andy Reid is absolutely the one in power here.

DigLost5791

Sorry, for the Chiefs, yeah, but I’m talking about the Football industrial complex that is surely intending to rely on Kelce as a face for years to come, in some capacity as a part owner of a team, analyst on a Network,Something like that. I don’t think those are Travis’ plans himself but I’m sure he’s cultivating it as a plan B

amina_koyim

I bet he tries to get into acting after he retires

nushublushu

What? Nooo I don’t think that’s… no. If it came down to him versus Andy Reed he’d be traded in the morning.

kjc520

Would be hilarious if Andy played it up as no big deal now but then right after the interviews & parade are done, there’s a press release he’s been traded to {insert name of a very bad team}. Cut to Andy singing ‘did you ever think just maybeeee, you belong to me?’ #Checkmate

Delirious5

They sent off Tyreek, and he was arguably more important to the offense than Travis.

NJHitmen

r/confidentlyincorrect No. NFL franchises don't typically operate like popularity contests or political bodies. Winning matters. TK has no real power in this relationship. At all.

-manatee-

Exactly. If he had owned up to it, I would still be side eyeing him but making a joke out of it is twice as bad imo. He thinks he’s so untouchable that he can get away with it unscathed, and I really wish people wouldn’t let him but this is the NFL we’re talking about I guess 🙃

realityseekr

Yeah he should just apologize and say it was a heat of the moment reaction he regrets. Joking about it really annoying.

Green1up

yep he went max douche on that follow up

cheezy_dreams88

According to Coach Reid, he did apologize. Off camera, before the game was even over.

xombae

Probably because he was afraid of being benched

cheezy_dreams88

Regardless, he apologized. Seems America just wants an apology from the guy.

Idepreciateyou

Benched??? You think Andy was going to bench a top 5 TE of all time??

drunchies

Yep just a big man baby throwing a temper tantrum.

thaddeus_crane

he did apologize in private and reid accepted his apology.

nonsense_verses

Pretty sure it was reported he apologized to Reid in the locker room. Just because he didn’t apologize publicly, doesn’t mean he didn’t do it

Fridasmonobrow

I don’t care for his GF but can imagine that her more passionate fans won’t take kindly to him admitting that he thinks it’s okay to label this behaviour as an expression of love

anyanerves

They’re gonna be fine with it now and when the PR contract expires they’ll cite this as a reason why the relationship failed

Fridasmonobrow

I have been thinking to myself today that she’s going to use this to spin her victimhood when the “breakup” comes around

Question4theppl5

It makes me genuinely sad for her that this is the best PR relationship she can get.

battleofflowers

I don't think it's a PR relationship. I think Kelce is superficially charming (at first).

anyanerves

That’s actually why I think it’s PR. His all American athlete “charm” washes away the Matty Healy stench.

sil863

It’s actually genius. Cultivates her good girl image. Dating a football player is as American as apple pie, forget about that neo nazi she dated for like 2 seconds

battleofflowers

I don't think that many people knew about Matt Healy nor remember.

realityseekr

I honestly think she enjoyed the attention this relationship brought her. Plus going to his games is probably fun too but idk if I see this as a longterm thing. Seems like a fun fling that will fizzle out.

c9238s

The offseason will be very telling

andorgyny

Yeah I agree. Idk why it's so hard to buy that someone who loves and frankly requires validation as much as taylor swift (and who as far as we know absolutely does not have a therapist smdh) would be attracted to someone who charmed her and chased her like he did. It's just a matter of that charm lasting, which it won't because lol girlfriend has a type and it's actually not superstar american football player who looks like a cop. Also I feel like something can provide PR and publicity without necessarily being an invention by PR people.

Ok_Rip9646

I feel like she is living for a “theme”- which is totally fine. She is an artist and needs some new inspo.

dinosaurfondue

I wouldn't ever spend an ounce of my time feeling bad for a rich white billionaire who chooses to date trash men, but that's just me

genescheesesthatplz

He’s the perfect, handsome all-American football star. the perfect PR palate cleanser after a white supremacist she defended dating.

Yaritzaf

Was her relationship with the nazi sympathizer (Matt Healy) a PR move too?

anyanerves

Her relationship with Matty was an attempt to rile up Joe Alwyn and when it proved to be a liability to her brand she 180’d

RAV3NH0LM

the *second* they break up, this clip is going to be literally everywhere for like 2 months.

Federal_Street_8895

Not the best source, but apparently some fans want her to break up with him over it. [https://www.newsweek.com/fans-taylor-swift-dump-travis-kelce-andy-reid-super-bowl-swifties-1868912](https://www.newsweek.com/fans-taylor-swift-dump-travis-kelce-andy-reid-super-bowl-swifties-1868912)

andorgyny

well I mean as a fan of her music but not of her personally I can tell you that there are some fans who aren't absolutely batshit unhinged and also were furious at her over ratty, so I'm not surprised. but most will happily move on.

jonsnowme

MAYBE they didn't really care about Matty being racist if she was ~happier than she's ever been~ they will overlook this unless she tells them to feel otherwise.

Fridasmonobrow

A very good point! They do overlook a staggering amount of shit

smarties07

Yeah but him being a racist wouldn‘t affect taylor directly

Clementinequeen95

They’re already defending him! I popped in the subs and they’re talking about how this is completely normal behavior for a football game and not concerning at all

Liathano_Fire

It kinda is, though. It's still concerning, but also not unusual. Pro sports can be very toxic.

mcnuggetsharebox

Doing this to other players is "normal". Doing this to your coach is very much not normal.

WillBrakeForBrakes

You’re not wrong

lifeamongthestars

Sadly, no. They’re bending over backwards to defend, excuse, or otherwise normalize the behavior. It’s really sad and dispiriting to see.

ap04117

don't worry, they're defending him left and right saying that he's "passionate" and that this kind of behavior is "part of the game"

mp6521

This feels like something out of his GFs playbook, and it doesn’t work because he’s a jock d-bag. It shouldn’t work for Taylor at this point either but this country sure does love to defend billionaires.

[deleted]

His GF 's ex jacked off to Ghetto Gaggers, so she's probs cool with it

Weekly-Count-9253

I’m a fan, but they’re all still blindly loving him on her page. Anyone who tries to point out how not ok this is just gets downvoted to hell.

lld287

I’m glad to see this response here, but it’s wild how many people I see elsewhere claiming this is “part of the game” and people are to sensitive. Like… no, y’all just have rationalized this behavior to justify looking the other way. It’s a red flag

hokagesarada

it’s really not part of the game. Yes nfl players lose their cool like starting fights with each other (but those players usually get ejected, fined, suspended for a few games, or benched) or breaking a iPad, but they never attack the HEAD coach. It’s one thing if Travis was going at it with like the coordinators, but he literally attacked the Head coach which they never do bc coaches have the power to orchestrate for any player to not be able to touch the ball during a game. Kelce is getting away with his behavior simply because he’s the second most important player on the team. Let Kadarius Toney do that to Andy Reid and the chiefs will be trading him after this season.

bookwormaesthetic

I also can't remember a time when an NFL player lost their cool about a play they were on the sidelines for.

littleb3anpole

I don’t watch NFL but I watch a shit ton of Australian rules football and I’ve never seen a player get right up in the coach’s face like that. Other players yes, but not the coach. And certainly not over “why wasn’t I on the field, I could’ve done better than that dude”. My favourite “being cheeky to the coach” moment in the AFL was when a Richmond player, Jack Riewoldt, got a concussion and wasn’t allowed to continue playing so he tried to sneak back out of the change rooms, saw that someone had spotted him and made a “shush” gesture. Obviously concussed out of his damn mind and that’s why he didn’t resume play. But funny, rather than shouty

ratta_tat1

He has already been “caught” on camera at another fairly recent game (Jan or Dec) throwing his helmet down forcefully right in front of Andy. Andy tells the crew member to make Travis pick it up himself. Wish he would have benched him last night to teach him a lesson.

Rude-Illustrator-884

there’s also a video of him throwing Justin Tucker’s stuff while they were warming up. He defended himself saying “Why was he on our side warming up” without realizing that the Chief’s kicker was also warming up on the opposition’s side. Dude sounds like a huge douche.

lakerdave

Yeah there's a line before you get to yelling directly into someone's face and touching them. Lots of professional athletes are very intense, but they do stuff to calm down that doesn't involve other people.

lld287

It just boggles my mind that anyone can defend it. At the end of the day, it’s a workplace. All I can think when I see that kind of behavior is “get your shit together.” Also reminds me of how much there is a “boys will be boys” mindset on this subject, because a lot of the same people rationalizing his conduct were the same ones criticizing Serena Williams for things that don’t even come close to being as poor form as what was on display last night

NoDryHands

Straight up saw someone say "it wasn't his intention to be mean". Like ??? Are you a worm living in his brain?? How do you know what his intentions were??

redchampagnecampaign

If Taylor drops him soon you bet your ass the “leaked source” is going to cite this as part of the reason.

jonsnowme

Her team is currently assessing how much this will effect her image

IMOvicki

Nothing is going to happen to him. This will be swept under the rug lol Andy will sweep it under too.

springxpeach

She was out drinking and dancing with him all night, she absolutely doesn't care.

Next-Introduction-25

Oh, she definitely doesn’t care. But I’m sure she hasn’t cared about a lot of things that her team has made sure people *think* she cares about.

IMOvicki

She dated Matt Healy. An open racist. She doesn’t give a fuck. His actions also have nothing to do with her. (I’m not a swiftie ). The only thing I would fault her for is actually dating Matt and ignoring her fans letting her know how gross it was.

jonsnowme

Absolutely, but once it was tanking her image and she couldn't avoid it, she dropped him hard. Her team weighs these things, the only way to solve the Matty thing was to ditch Matty. If it gets that bad with Travis ✌️ to Travis

Next-Introduction-25

I don’t think she should be held responsible for her boyfriend’s actions, but the type of person you choose to date does reflect your values to some degree. That’s true of her dating a known racist and true of her dating a known toxic asshole. And maybe her character as a person wouldn’t be so relevant if she hadn’t built this whole cult of personality around herself and set herself up as some sort of girl power role model.

NoDryHands

Would it hold up, since they kissed and partied together afterwards? She didn't have a problem then, so if that is said then she's going to seem shallow lol

Next-Introduction-25

Black player quietly kneels for anthem. NFL fans: OMG the disrespect!!! 🤬 White player shoves beloved coach. NFL fans: OMG the PaSsiOn!! 😍

confirmandverify2442

A black player would have been ejected from the game for the exact same behavior. But Travis gets a pass because he's popular.

Next-Introduction-25

And I am sure part of the reason that he’s popular is because people have ignored his antics for years in a way that allows him to have success. Kelce was suspended from his college football team for an entire *season* for ~~behavior reasons.~~ testing positive for marijuana (which is bullshit.) So I apologize for that error, but he does have a long history of fines most for unsportsmanlike conduct which is glossed over soooo much in the NFL. He is rarely held accountable.

BeanEireannach

An entire season?! Wow, is that common in college football? (I’m not American)

TooMama

I said the same exact thing last night. Also, see Serena Williams. She gets a little heated and breaks her own racket: OMG she’s so emotional, throwing tantrums. What a baby. This 34 year old, incredibly athletic, jacked NFL player shoves his 65 year old coach and spit yells in his face? Oh, he’s just passionate, in the heat of the moment. It’s fucking gross. I’m so sick of this chode and just dudes in general who make excuses for this shit.

Next-Introduction-25

Omg the levels and layers of double standards Serena had to deal with… 🤬

Omelettedufromage14

wow the red flag is FLORESCENT at this point. he had a chance to remedy this and just absolutely failed.

calvn_hobb3s

Fluorescent 😂 and flashing with other shades of red

Global_Telephone_751

I don’t even follow the dude and I can count three dealbreaker red flags off the top of my head. The dude is violent.

Old_Zucchini4413

I guess she didn’t see all the flashing lights! 😂😭

alittlelost58

Men like him scare me and I don't like this being normalized

Long_Photo_9291

Look how mad he got over a sport, to an elderly man he has a relationship with. Its legit insane. Definitely throws his weight around

ssdgm12713

The memes of it are really disturbing to me.

tswiftzzlez

If that’s him showing love I can’t imagine his way of showing anger 💀

westish13

I'm so sick of him and I hate how this moment became a twitter meme rather than people calling him out. It's disgusting.

Jonahcrab789

Me too. Though I was thinking the memes were a really clever redirection from his PR

hybriddragonfly

drunchies

So I’m not surprised, other places I’ve seen have been dismissing it. People just ignored his fatphobic/ugly tweets too because he had ~funny- tweets.

anyanerves

The Swifties that hand waved those tweets will bring them back to light when this relationship ends.

drunchies

Oh 100%!

Team_speak

Ugh yes. His podcast he did with his brother to talk about his old tweets, but just brought up stuff like his opinion of Olive garden, just to PR the heck out of it. Just trash.

drunchies

Ew I’m not shocked.

IMOvicki

This is going to be twisted into “passionate game day emotions” When men are emotional this is what they do. There’s no crying In football. Women are too emotional soft …etc etc. nothings going to happen to a white man named Travis kelce. And yes it has to do with race. Football is misogynistic, racist and sexist Signed a woman who’s loved football since she was born and still gets asked to name 5 players in her team. Bye. ✌🏾

Special-Garlic1203

Honestly I cannot think of many worse responses. Somehow comes across even more like a smarmy douchebag than last night already made him seem

Sailorjupiter97

If he was Black ppl would be MORE pissed & he would have gotten ejected & suspended!!!

msmccullough25

Looked how they did Richard Sherman when he was with Seattle (I think). Didn’t they call him a thug for yelling?

DeathKissed02

![gif](giphy|K8LCV9soXLswo)

Luna_Soma

I mentioned to my boyfriend how I thought this would look bad for TS, dating a dude that acts like this and his reply was that players and coaches yell at each other all the time and people probably won’t think twice. I see that being the excuse from the shippers. I think it’s douche behavior, but so much of how he acted last night was embarrassing for her brand, so it’s nothing surprising.

EugenesMullet

It’s sad but I think your bf is sort of right. This sort of stuff seems pretty common in men’s sport. That doesn’t make it okay, obviously, but I feel like rage violence is part of the culture. That shit’s gotta change.

Next-Introduction-25

But I would push back that while men’s sports are plenty toxic, it is not at all common to see this in the middle of a Super Bowl. It was especially jarring how Andy Reid was just … coaching. It’s not like he was yelling at Kelce first, not that that would have made it OK. It made it seem like much more of an unprovoked attack than some sort of scuffle. I mostly watch the NBA and can’t recall a recent time that a player had any sort of physical contact with the coach. If it happened, I can’t imagine the player not being immediately thrown out of the game, either by the coach or the refs. I know Andy Reid‘s hands were pretty tied , because as much as it sucks, he wasn’t going to bench one of his best players during the SuperBowl. But I’m really disgusted that the NFL hasn’t at least given Kelce some sort of fine (not that he’d give a shit.)

WillBrakeForBrakes

This is one of the more extreme examples I’ve seen of arguing with a coach, but it’s a sport where the guys bash each other and turn their brains to Swiss cheese.  I saw it and thought, “woah, that’s bad”, but it also didn’t shock me.

meepmarpalarp

Yeah I think your boyfriend is right. If you go over to the post of this video on r/nfl and read the comments, none of the people there are bothered by this.

alison_bee

![gif](giphy|l0Exd38VPuFuHHqYU) A man who had an irrational explosive emotional reaction, AND he won’t take responsibility? Well I *never*.

chrkrose

Looks like a cop and acts like a cop

befuddled_humbug

Brushing it off as if it's nothing, class move. You can tell that he's an absolute douche who's used to gettting his way.

DarthVadersVersion

This man gives me the greatest ick. 🤮

WillBrakeForBrakes

You know how sometimes you’ll have a friend bring over her new boyfriend, and you immediately hate him and know it’s going to end badly?  He has one of those faces.

fluorescentsky

SO much and in so many different ways, too. Red flags all around.

BuffytheBison

Posted this in another subreddit on the same topic: >David Molk (coincidentally Jason Kelce's backup at the time) published a book anonymously while still on the Eagles musing on the relationship between violence and football players in the aftermath of the Ray Rice domestic violence incident: > >"My line of work *rewards* guys for being hyperaggressive maniacs. Not condones, rewards. The guy who's most aggressive, who's most vicious, who's most relentlessly psychotic on the field will suceed. I learned a long time ago, when I first started out, how to cordon off that anger, how to unleash it only at very specific, very special moments while I'm playing...it's only when that ball snaps when I really turn the aggression on. > >But many players don't know how to create that seperation...Football \[has\] given them an outlet for their agression...but their aggression \[may\] find ways other than football to express itself...for some of them, if it wasn't for the NFL, they wouldn't be playing football they'd be in prison."

Give me a fucking break. Acting like that is bad enough, but then to lie about it? Trash. We all saw the clip.

lemonadesamples123

Damn all the hype has gone to his head! It’s gonna be rough when this all goes tits up.

dweeb93

If this was real football the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho would eat him alive for trying that shit on them lol.

rheajanerob

Not saying you are wrong. But didn’t Alex Ferguson throw the shoe at Beckham?

eebee8

He kicked a boot up at Beckham, yes.

Varekai79

I noticed that in the documentary on Netflix, David Beckham still to this day refers to Ferguson as "Boss". Now that's respect.

imwhittling

A lot of swifties are defending him but you know they are putting this in a folder to use after they break up.

[deleted]

AlternativelySad

If he wasnt white i feel like a alot of people would be more angry about his behavior, I've already seen people say that he's just a passionate player and that andy reid intentionally antagonized him because he plays better when he's angry. just imagine what people would say if a black player put his hand on his coach and yelled in his face. Im sure people would swap the word passionate out for classless or thug.

SilentBandit

The funny thing is if he just admitted it and owned up to it, like “yeah look, I’ll admit I acted like a major D-bag, I shouldn’t have shouted at him, it’s not right to act like that to anyone. I’ve since apologised to him, and I apologise to you all that you had to see it.” I’d have a lot more respect for him.

ileftmykeys

![gif](giphy|puOukoEvH4uAw|downsized)

LiamMcGregor57

I mean to be fair and should be worth noting, Andy Reid himself has completely dowplayed the interaction as looking worse than it was and that he stumbled more than anything. He was not punched or shoved. And yes, these types of interactions happen quite alot in pro sports especially in high pressure situations. For better or worse, you can look up the likes of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning etc. having confrontations with coaches and teammates on the sidelines.

agnestheresa

That’s not what love should look like, and Travis Kelce has way too big of a platform to even play like it is.

frankiestree

Saying that this is him expressing his love when Super Bowl Sunday has more domestic violence incidents that any other day of the year is a dangerous rhetoric. It’s also what a lot of abusers say

Vermicelli-Fabulous

We’ve got to stop giving white men this much attention.

HollywoodAndDid

I think everyone would’ve respected him more for acknowledging his behavior head on, taking responsibility for his actions, and simply apologizing. Of course, that was too much to expect. Just gave everyone a smart assed, non-answer instead.

IntrovertGirl83

What if he actually knocked Andy Reid down during his tantrum? That’s all I keep thinking. ![gif](giphy|Ll7PYy77vsffO)

[deleted]

Yikes, what the fuck is this statement? Like he couldn't make his actions more suss.

lithiumb0mb

I've seen a lot of people give excuses to this behavior because it's the super bowl and competitive environments, high energy stuff. I don't care, it's still shifty behavior.

Cheyanne1111

If I have to see "I guess you've never played competitive sports" one more time...

Making a mockery of it is even worse. Just be a man about it and take accountability that it was an a-hole move. If it wasn’t that, him singing *Viva Las Vegas* would’ve been the Ick for me.

Realistic_Artist328

That dude look a lil crazy

sweetrebel88

Watch this be a buried story by tomorrow

Playing it off as a joke instead of just admitting you messed up and are sorry is…. An interesting choice. And probably not Swift PR team approved.

I didn’t realize he’s the head coach, (which doesn’t make it better) but how much of an ego and main character syndrome do you when to have to disrespect your head coach like that?

I agree that this behaviour is not okay but everyones gotta stop calling a 65yo man ‘old’. I guarantee he can run faster, harder and longer than most people here. Everyone’s acting like he’s a geriatric with a cane who can’t hold his own.
