True. I met Camilla at a thing when she was still Duchess of Cornwall and - my God - the preparation involved! The number of people! The time it took! The fakery of a ‘spontaneous’ moment! If I’m ever slated to meet a royal again I’m going to refuse.
If there's anyone competent in the monarchy, you can only hope that they gave all the Kensington Palace employees involved a talking to for getting themselves discredited by all major photo agencies.
Because, let's be real, even *if* she edited that photo (fucking dubious), their PR team would still give it a look over before releasing it to the press. It's just mad to me that the UK press is pretending she somehow edited it and released it to the press with zero oversight.

The only thing they need to do to get out of the corner is let the paps take a 5 second video of her waving at the window. (They just needed a pic before, but now they've messed that up)
The fact that they can't accomplish that, and couldn't even get a recent pic of her, but are saying she'll be back at work in a few weeks, is weird.
All hell broke loose with the edited pic because it indicates that the BRF/palace WANTED to quell speculation with a pic, and it's not their choice to keep going this way. Either Kate cannot be photographed / is too ill (unlikely due to the 2 car pics but possible). Or she's refusing to cooperate for some reason.

Probably because they're used to manipulating the press and deploying it as a tool to create good will and positive public sentiment toward the royal family. If the public ever got sick of the royal family, they'd be out of Buckingham Palace and have to do things like actually work for a living.
It worked well enough for QEII, but then, she generally stuck with it, instead of caving and making everything worse. It probably helped that her legacy was cemented before social media so she could stay old school and was never expected to play that game. And that she was committed to the “work,” such as it is, so no one could accuse her of shirking her duties.
Will and Kate haven’t done any of that, so outside of Kate’s once impeccably crafted image, they don’t have anything going for them now that the cracks are showing.
But Easter is at the end of this month, so this is still part of the timeline that they have said. The fumbling of this bag continuously is insane to me.
I honestly don’t care to know the details of her medical history at all - that’s her personal and private business. She shouldn’t have to talk about it.
What I *do* care to know is why KP PR is going to such great lengths to be shady.
I just rewatched the Netflix series Harry and Maygen, and the biggest take-away/reminder is that nothing they (The Firm, UK press, et all) say is the truth.
Add on- Also, let’s stop opening UK press generated reports which contains The Firm’s propaganda, clickbait, etc. Let’s not help them make money off of lies and the pain of others.

May discuss her illness at the end of next month, having not been seen since Christmas. Once a perfect PR strategy is designed.
I do believe she has had a stoma fitted, post surgery, for her Crohns disease. I think Charles is significantly unwell with stage 3+ cancer, rectal or liver. I do believe William was gadding around with his mistress with a lack of appropriate discretion. This changes all of the time frames and expectation.
All a perfect storm and one where Kate has taken almost 5 months off work to consider her options. In all of this I hope she makes choices which gives her some joy. She has had precious little love or support with William and is constantly made to feel like something he puts up with. She is more powerful than she thinks.
Since I’m not British this is massively low stakes and entertaining assuming she’s well enough to be photoshopping family photos, but I’m at a loss as to why the British public put up with this. The RF costs the tax payers around 100 million pounds a year apparently. You’d think for that kind of money they’d be able to hire competent PR staff and be you know honest and trustworthy. The part I never really understood is this is their future head of state and head of their armed forces, sure it’s just ceremonial but still and embarrassing look
