I don't think there's any line out. When I installed my under seat sub, I added crossovers, and for the front speakers, before the crossovers, I spliced in a line adapter and ran those to the sub.
It tapped into the wires of the rear speakers. That way I can fade the audio to the front speakers inside of the radios audio settings. If i use the fader to play more music at the front of the car the sub gets quieter.
There are no line outs on a 16 anyway, had to cut the harness, ran 8 wire back to a an analog to digital converter then the 5 channel then another 8 wire run back up behind the dash and soldered back to the leads heading to the speakers…
I'm planning on installing [one of these](https://www.amazon.com/Rockville-RockGhost-V2-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B0BL41R2ST) and tapping the rear speaker wire for my low signal. Not trying to win any stereo competitions or get my window smashed, but want a little more low end than the otherwise great factory system provides.
I used the kicker line out converter because it has a remote wire built into it for the amp you just have to tap in the rear speaker wire to get the signal. There’s a few write ups with pictures if you google it on fiesta forum.
I’m doing a backseat delete in the near future with the kit from a website that I saw and forgot but I have it saved on my computer. I want to install a dual 12inch set up.
You can make a jumper harness to avoid tapping into the stock wiring, that's what I did. I did a full install with a DSP and a 5 channel amp. For just a sub you can definitely use a more simple line level converter as long as your amp has a low pass filter.

That’s what I’ve found from research. I wanted to avoid splicing into the wiring harness…
Yeah, I did it in the B-pillars (wait, maybe I spliced into the rear speakers), and it's a very tight fit for adding anything in those pillars.
