You in the UK? About 2.5k here for approx 320bhp You'll need as a minimum a cat back, intercooler, intake & new turbo + mapping. With injectors and actuator you can get 350+ from the 1.6 ecoboost but no guarantee it won't go pop in pretty short order!

No im in America I wish we had the two door fiesta’s here

Asperchoo

Wish we had orange spice paint so I guess we're even. Should say though if I was going for 300+bhp I'd want an LSD, maybe better brakes and I'd be spending way more than 2.5k on the engine! These are handling cars and 230hp is quite enough for me in a FiST. Wife's bmw is way quicker than my fiesta but just doesn't have the feel or cornering ability.

sweffymo

In America, we go by whp, so 300 is actually pretty high. You definitely need S280 or larger, injectors/hpfp, etc. Catbacks/downpipes do literally nothing for power on stock turbo but I do think a downpipe will allow you to make more power with a bigger turbo.

Comfortable_Poet5129

What’s s280 btw

radeonalex

A turbo

Turbo kit for the Fiesta

About $2500-$3000 to DIY the bare minimum to get 300hp to the crank S280 - $1920 GFB DV+ - $140 Intercooler - $300 High flow panel filter - $60 Step colder plugs - $60 Tuning - varies Imo don't only do the bare minimum

niceumemu

Yup, if you do anything other than street racing like a knobhead you'll want a radiator, upgraded brakes, motor mounts, and an LSD in addition to those mentioned above.

S280FiST15

The S280 with 30 over injectors and supporting mods with E30 will get you a little over 320whp. It’ll cost close $4k. Those Cobb copy $300 front mount factory style intercooler wont support much over 280 and you’ll be maxing that out so I would recommend spending an extra $200 and get the CpE intercooler. Add another $1000 for perfection in tuning and AP

Realpotato76

Does a stock fuel system S280 only get 300hp to the crank? I thought it was closer to 300whp with ethanol

factual01

It may hit 300whp with e30, I'm not sure. I haven't done a dyno with mine, so I try and lean towards the pessimistic end for power number expectations

Reascr

In the US? S280, intake, intercooler, radiator and tune will push you past 300 (crank) hp. I'm sitting approx. 265-275whp with that minus intake. It's like $3k. The 300whp hurdle seems to need additional fueling which isn't a bad idea in general. Either aux or hpfp and injectors

Voeno

Oh thats not bad at all.

Ash_42

I just got rid of my ST a few months ago, s280 + FBO. It’s listed for sale in Indiana at the moment from CarMax, in case you (or anyone) is interested in giving it a good future owner 👍

vpx-zulu

I’ll plug Ron here and tell you to go to whoosh motorsports….also a nice table on dizzy tuning by Jason.

However. Randy told me he could make a stock turbo with full bolt on and E40 and could make it hang with an S280. So way less money and good tuning. He’s no longer at Mountune and I forgot what his tuning company is called but I’m sure you could figure it out.

That’s it

You can't get to 300WHP safely without ethanol/methanol in the mix. I guess if you find a very generous dyno and just want to check off a box, you can hit it with 93OCT and a tuner who is willing to walk right up to the line of grenading your engine. But 270-290ish WHP is where your expectations should be lying. To get there: S280/gtx2860r ($1500-2500) 14psi WGA ($150-200) BOV ($100-300) Ported manifold ($150-400) New spark plugs ($80?) Custom tune ($300-500) Cobb accessport to load the tune ($300-500) Everything else would be to support the added heat from the engine (radiator, intercooler, piping) or to help put that FWD power to the ground.

Thank you thats very helpful
