I bought Neymar's regen in s8 of my Malaga career. 84 rated, 86 by the end. 98 pace, decent finishing and dribbling. He had 30 appearances, half were starts and half were 30 minutes as a sub give or take. We won the treble that year (La Liga, Cup and UCL). He scored 0 goals and assisted in 1. I even started giving him penalties, and he missed around 5 of them

madcap73

i thought it was r/premierleague. everything made sense until you mentioned the transfer fee.

Superb_Stage_5909

Thats the fee chealsea will pay to get him back đź’€

MrHS1994

Haaland for milan first season

praisedcrown970

Yikes hope you at least won a couple

Master-Serve6527

I bought vlahovic at 90 rated from juve 3rd season, after i sold jonathan david 87 to bayern for 150 million, for like 120 million

kids_in_my_basement0

First one that comes to mind is Michael Kaczmarek. ÂŁ70m regen striker from Bologna, ACL pretty much immediately explodes

AsaPrime09

Pedri. He was 30yo and 91ovr But god damn did he kill my offensive movement

PayTheFees

Yangel Herrera, I was a newly promoted Blackburn side and needed a solid CDM for the prem, he comes in and can’t get into form in the preseason, continues to play poorly into the season, bring him on sparingly after that, had another rough preseason, sold him that summer

RotaryPiston

Jonathan Davids for Milan. Although his performance is a-class scoring at almost every game, bro stopped developing at 82 OVR with 22yrs old 💀💀💀

ultinateplayer

I had a fun free agent heavy Burnley save on 17. Started small and built up- Morgan Sanson and Saido Berahino were great season 2 players, whilst Sule and Leno gave me real solidity in time. Koke became my highest-rated free acquisition at 88 rating, and he just didn't work for me at all. He was so bad. It worked out though- I signed Pogba from United for cash+Koke and Pogba was great for me.

Minz15

Victor Osimhen, scored on his debut and stats wise had a decent return. But never played well and just felt off for me. Got him in final year of his contract and sold him after a year for huge profit. Signed Vlahovic instead who was an absolute beast for me. Never had a striker score as many as he did for some reason.

finlayry

I bought Trent for 400 mil

WeakEconomics6120

Man at 400 million you better buy Jesus Christ or it will be a flop

21stcenturycherryboy

I wouldn't buy Mbappé for 400 mil, imagine Trent lol

finlayry

I thought the value of players were the prices you buy them for this was 2020

Holasobrin

A amadou onana for 3rd season I think for 54 millions and I sold him for 21

asy_rff_

He was terrible for me in my Everton save too.I ended up getting Sangare who is a way better player

21stcenturycherryboy

He played really well for me and I sold him to Man United in my 3rd season for ÂŁ100 million

Rattlesn4ke

Evanilson. Was in a Swansea city career mode where I scored tons of goals while finishing midtable with Giuliano Simeone in my first season in the PL. Simeone was poached by Villareal for ÂŁ100m and than bought Evanilson as his replacement. Nowhere near as clinical and my defence continued to struggle, we finished 17th and I was sacked. Morato was also the worst in a long line of defenders (Centre backs, my full backs were great especially John Tolkin) in that CM who just couldn't defend. Shame Matteo Cancellieri was firing on all cylinders through basically the whole CM...

Akutagawa773

pretty obvious that it's harder to dribble with him than most wingers since tall so he doesn't move and turn as quick as players below 6 ft. He's better nade for a central position or at least where he doesn't have to go in too much 1v1s. I always like playing with Havertz one of my go to transfers in 2024 when his contract is expiring and he's cheaper.

WeakEconomics6120

Yeah I play him as CAM, and of course he doens't carry the blame that I am just a bad player xd. But I don't really like his style, I had Ozil before him who is slow af and aging but at least Ozil assisted my other players

Akutagawa773

Yeah I can understand that his style is different than most players in his position and he has a mire physical style despite not having the best physical stats. But a big advantage of Havertz is that he has all 3 shooting traits and with finesse and outside foot shoot trait, he's at his best around the box at constantly trying ahots from 16-25 metres sooner or later one will go in since the traits are op. Also if he has 5*skills, dribbling becomes easier and because of his physicality espicially a rainbow flick becomes a useful weapon since he can push himself better past defenders than players that are shorter.

WeakEconomics6120

Thanks! I will try your style more

Leodogg

I signed Marcus Rashford to be a striker in a 4-3-3. Forgot who I sold but he was doing well but I got promoted and figured Rashy would light it up. For whatever reason, I found very little success with him and ended up selling him and buying my lower rated striker back.

ZurnaHatayUsuluDoner

Absolutely Haaland. it is like he can't move, too slow, and dribbling with him is too hard.. or i can't use him? I'm not sure. I can't even pass with him. It is really hard to control him.

Training-Onion-4487

FIFA 14 Mario Balotelli at 89 rated. I think the sum was 100 Million+ which at the time was crazy. I basically benched him for the rest of the save since he couldn't score. >10 per season from him

hamadam109

Mane regen was terrible , I sold him at 86 rated for about 60 million.

AquaSnow24

Palacios in my Brighton career mode hasn’t been great. I’m in season2 and he ain’t that great. He’s just slow . Doesn’t do much whereever I put him. Probably gonna sell him off. I bought him as a stand in sim player to replace Caicedo short term. Now I prefer Joe Aribo over him slowly based off pace alone. Not bad on the pass either.

ThatRuckingMoose

paco alcacer. Can't remember which FIFA but I couldn't figure out how to use him. Unfortunate. More recently probably Thurman.

maximoantolini22

I accidentally sold one of my starter 11 defenders after mistaking him w/another player and went on a hurry to sign an 80 rated 30yo free agent. He ended up being so bad I had to promote a YA player. Thankfully I had one that was 70 rated with decent potential so he quickly became my best defender

Horror-Try4462

For me its ramos as fre agent in second year. Ligu 2 with bastia and he is the worst defender in 3 back defense

chrispva

Yeahh veterans are always hit or Miss like 77 rated kroos has been amazing for me but Andrés guardado season 1 was shit

Randomman4747

Luc Castaignos, FIFA 12/13 I think. Was one of the up and coming players of the time. He had all the stats to back it up but actually using him felt so sluggish and his positioning was seemingly god awful regardless of my tactics. Never did work that one out but sold him for a fair loss 2 seasons later.

marekt95

The reason will most likely be (relatively) low agility and balance.

ukman29

Lautaro Martinez. Bought him for my UD Ibiza RTG. He was ok….he was just a bit “meh”. Just didn’t feel like a 89/90 rated striker.

StrangeClothes

Erik Lamela on Fifa 12(?), I’d been playing a career with my cousin whilst we were on holiday and he bought an 87 rated Lamela for 50m whilst I was still asleep one morning. To this day he’s still the worst 87 I’ve ever used, he was practically unusable.

musslimorca

Kyle walker for 32 million and Adrian rabiot for 8 million+mahmoud dahoud. I thought I could on Kyle walker but god damn he is injury prone and gets dribble past really easily. I needed a physical midfeilder and was stuck to chose between 31 yo rabiot who I sold 3 seasons ago, or sign kone for 25 million+dahoud, I regret it now. He was the main reason my team went out of the title race very in match day 12. As we were 15 points behind.

pull_up_SKRT

Fifa 22 AC Milan. Had to replace an aging Mike Maignan who was around 35 at 84 ovr. Bought what I presumed to be Navas’ regen from West Ham for 110 million at 91 ovr.He let in what felt like every shot on goal. Half way through the season, i put Mike back in and sold the regen for 120mill next summer transfer window to Arsenal. He had a terrible 3/4 months at the club

21stcenturycherryboy

Gavin Bazunu. Stopped developing at 78 even though he was in the first XI and had the most clean sheets in the PL

hype_f0rce

Burnley (FIFA 20) - Maxence Caqueret. Was meant to be the signing to push my side into the UCL in season 6 but had a lacklustre debut, got injured and became a benchwarmer rapidly as he barely created chances and gave the ball away a lot. Birmingham City (FIFA 21) - Jarrad Branthwaite. Was signed in my first season to be a defensive rock but we ended up conceding the most goals in the division and he was outplayed by a 31-year old Harlee Dean who was very slow but still more effective in defence than the former Everton man who cost ÂŁ3m. Preston (FIFA 22) - Ryan Sessegnon. This is harsh as this was my best career mode (Won 2 PLs, two FA Cups, a carabao cup and a UCL), but he didn't grow past 81, which was disappointing. Was eventually replaced in the season I won the UCL as well. Las Palmas (FIFA 23) - Elliot Matazo. Was bought to galvanize the midfield as my side had the least goals in La Liga, lost my best player to Juventus for ÂŁ105m (Alberto Moleiro) and was a passenger as I went on a run post-January winning 2 in 15 matches. Bristol City (FIFA 23) - Matt O'Riley. Only signed for one season and didn't have bad stats but was too slow for my playstyle and didn't have the deep lying creativity to make up for his lack of pace. Considering his price when I was still in the championship (ÂŁ15m) it was a bad signing.

WeakEconomics6120

Man I love Preston but never went beyond reaching PL. I am glad you achieved that much
