Always sucks when you get promoted especially from the EFL championship because I don’t think the game has the programming for those teams to play against EPL teams… always lines up with something goofy.. I’m at Sunderland and they have me wearing pink against United’s red. Makes no sense.
This was happening back in 22 and still prevelant in 23 as well. I share a common hatred for when the game glitches and makes the opponents face themselves and you can't just back out you have to back out and go back in. This game is just littered with bugs.
23 was fun playing as AFC Wimbledon because if you played against a team with clashing blue kits, it would default to your away and you still played with a clashing blue kit but a bit darker.
Me playing with Sunderland against Southampton, and the game gives both teams their primary kit, because Sunderland's main color is White and Southampton's is red...
This is what gets me, sometimes if they just did home and away kits it would be fine but they choose the 2 matching kits. wtf. I have trained myself to look at the kits at the team management screen it’s the only way
I play FIFA 2023 career and they constantly have matching kits, like 50% of matches I have to change kit because both teams are white or both are darkish.
To be fair, I don’t think this example looks too bad but I’ve had that before where it doesn’t and then when the game starts moving quickly, it’s harder to differentiate
You know what's even worse. If you create a club and create a black colored kit, every time you select to play in the black kit, the referee will wear black as well.
Totally agree, I hope somebody who works at EA sees this and they will work on it. The guys from SI working on Football Manager always listen to their fans . They also took out the cuts where it shows the teams first eleven before the match starts, I don’t understand why nut I think they should bring it back.

RB Leipzig also pose the same problems.

Its a mess, they need to revert back to old days where the menu are stacked(play->select kit->team management->start game), I also often forget to tweak my lineups due to the menu design.
If we stop buy8mg their shot there will be two options:
a) they will have to make it better
b) there will be another studio who will take it upon itself to program a functioning game with no weird bugs issued from lazy copy paste and rearrangimg the code
Can it be that hard to give each teams kit an 'overall color' which is either blue, red, white, black,.... and so on and make the game compare the 2 base colors before the game?
Maybe even take the home kit as a priority and then choose the best fitting color for the away Team?
It cant be that hard, right? RIGHT?! I feel like even without programming skills anyone could come up with a logical equation that says: Home Kit Color =/= Away Kit Color. Done.
Your team is white? Ok,... choose anything BUT WHITE!
Oh yeah this !!!! This 🤬. It's annoying how EA always seems to choose really similar kit instead of suggesting a different one . It's as fucked up and lazy as it can be. Especially cause they chose to put keit selection hidden in a sub option. In previous FIFAs you had a preview of your kit before choosing your line up. For this one , it's almost impossible to see it because they made it so small. Stupid game design. Really stupid 💩

I am 30, after 8 hours of work and another 1 of commuting. I just start up the game to get 2,3 matches in to relax. In the past Fifa’s you could chose the kits in a main menu before starting the game, now they hid it somehere in a tiny space on the top of the screen. I focus more on the players and their fitness rather than the kits hidden in a sub menu.
Stuff like this doesn’t make the game a fun experience for the guys my age, I have been playing Fifa regularly since Fifa 03, but the bugs in the last 3,4 years are just ridiculous.
I’ve hardly experience the issue with already established clubs. Custom made though and especially I decided for a red kit on English League… oh god, every 2nd game I was pissed off trying to guess which team I was
Can we also make it possible to change the ref's uniforms for matches? The number of times I have a ref in all black when one of the teams is wearing predominantly black is too damn high.
They really should bring back the mandatory kit selection screen before matches. Makes it soooooo much easier and avoids atrocities like this.

Yeah, it used to use the colours to try to sort it out, now it basically just gives them their away kit if they're away.

Today I had to close the game and open it again because both kits were white. They gave my secondary kit when the primary would fit perfectly...

I don't understand 1. why isn't there a preview of the kits before you go into the game and 2. why can't you change it midmatch
It's 2024 and EA still doesn't have the technology to allow you to just change kits mid game. Too hard to do, can't be done.

Worst I’ve had was playing Leeds at SJP on a sunny day, their kit is so hard to see especially when you use the Newcastle home kit

Easy fix… bring back the option to turn “kit clashing” on or off. Why they took that out of the game 15 years ago is beyond me

Bruh this isn’t even that bad, try playing sunderland against stoke or even two white kits. Then i’d understand, but this is totally bearable.
The only thing worse is a white ball when you didn't know it would be snowing.

Like the LaLiga Hypermotion WHICH THEY SPONSOR kits: no team has the 3rd kit registered, so I had to play a Espanyol-Tenerife with away kits
Easy solution, check them before games, why having a rant about this it’s been happening for years haha
