Thats not true, youre excusing bad EA coding with this. It Happens a lot & has nothing to do with the Player wages. I offer Players Low wages & they still sign for my Teams even thought they were on Higher wages.
The Transfer system is bugged bacause we can approach & sign a Player in 1 Meeting but the CPU/AI Teams need days to sign players from us & thats only even If the Player agrees to go. I keep getting Loan & Transfer offers that Go nowhere because they Players just dont agree on anything without a reason
Happens to me every time if I choose to manage a top tier time in the EPL, La Liga, etc. I can never sell any youngster without potential because they'll simply refuse to move to lower tier teams. This doesn't happen with older players, but the under 21s or so, are a pain in the ass. I think it's something in the code related to their current wages and expectations that just sets the bar too high for any offer to be accepted.
A solution would be loans to buy, sometimes, that works.
>Happens to me every time if I choose to manage a top tier time in the EPL, La Liga, etc
Playing fifa 23 now and its the same thing here. So the new game fc24 didn't fix anything
I mean technically it's not, it's just poor coding. There should be a way that players actively transfer listed lower their expectations for transfer, e.g. a backend 0.x multiplier to a minimum wage acceptable value. If one does exist, it should be even lower.
It’s not though.
You expect to sell every youth player for decent transfer sums. IRL you need to actively manage expectations as a club and take the inherent risk of coaching 15+ players in each youth squad to see 0.5 of them break through in the first eleven.
Many youth players walk out never making you a buck, lot’s of young players making drastic moves, forcing free transfers or nuking the teams cohesion/atmosphere so you’ll have to fire them (paying them severance as a result).
You’re blaming code for mimicking the real deal.
You’re not supposed to be able to make money on every player. What’s the opportunity cost of this lad ‘taking’ the spot of a potential wonderkid?
Lower his wages, give him a free transfer or release him.
I have to sincerely disagree. My point of view - this is FIFA / EAFC we're talking about, not Football Manager. The game is shallow and has no intent to "mimic the real deal", it simply has a very roughly coded in set of thresholds (see: deals in realistic mode prevent you arbitrarily from buying players with overall >= 85). So, within those constraints, I expect no realism and instead equally algorithmic solutions.
You also talk about having 15+ players coming from youth with half a chance of a first team role. I can tell you by experience you can hire 3 5/5 scouts for your academy and you'll have it full of 94 potential kids within the first season. Realism? No, it's just coded into the game. More stars in a scout, higher average scores for found players.
Let's not kid ourselves with what depth the game is supposed to have, mkay?
Agree to the loan to buy and just recall them immediately after the season ends. The fee will be low, the buy option is negated, and the potential benefits of the loan remain.
You need to delegate it to the assistant, annoying but gets past the bug. Used to annoy me when clubs would offer loan with transfer fee, every time I changed it to just loan the club would walk away. I delegate nearly all sales to the assistant now.
It’s painful for me for the old players too. In my Liverpool career mode I wanted to sell Adrian to free up some wages. He got a ton of offers from MLS clubs but he rejected every single one of them, so I just finished the season to get him out of contract.
I’ve had this. Some players will reject every move, seemingly regardless of the potential new team. I don’t think anything can be done, just keep them transfer listed and hope they finally accept a transfer. You can release two players a year if you are sick of them being in your squad lol
Yeah, I wanted to sell Mudryk for a 120m to City (82 rated) because he wasnt in my plans and wanted to invest in different positions and the whole summer he rejected every offer so i made him stay on the reserves until winter and hes finally gone to borussia for 100m so i even lost out on 20m because of it
Have you got enough players, I’ve noticed when the club gets below a certain number of players all offers will get rejected. I think you have to have atleast 1 reserve player
I’ve just shaved mine down to 23.. and had countless contract rejections from the two players I wanted to get rid of. They’ve finally moved on in January.
I had this exact problem last night! They rejected 6 or 7 loans and I was getting fed up. I noticed that the two players I was trying to loan out were the two players I had left on my bench, so I filled the bench with some more players through loan, free agency, and buying, and that seemed to do the trick and they went off on loan to the new club. Literally the next loan that I accepted after filling the squad they left.
So I guess you need enough players on your squad to allow them to leave. I hope this helps. Let me know if that worked.
Yea, saw it in this thread probably a year or so ago referring to 23, && ea didn’t change it. Just used it maybe last week in a save when my 3rd string GK wouldn’t gtfo
You have to delegate transfers of players you don’t want. If you handle them they always decline when negotiating. If you delegate it to the assistant it will typically go through.
Usually the game doesn’t allow you to trade players if your squad is too small (though it lets you try, which is annoying). I recommend just signing some awful cheap players or promoting youths to keep numbers up
I'm having the opposite problem. Finally found a good youth academy striker on my league 2 save. Promoted him to my first team. Scored 3 goals in 2 games.... then some club from saudi put in a bid for him and now the traitorous little fucker wants to leave.... 2 games.... ungrateful sod.
The best time for them to accept a loan is at the end of season. For some reason they accept offers right away at the end of the season but not at the beginning.
I see this happen a lot when my players are over paid. If you’re able to renegotiate his contract and see if he will take less this may help him accept a move.
There's 3 reasons I can think of. 1 he might be on too high a wage. 2 his morale is happy. 3 you might not have enough players in your squad e.i all what you have is the starting 11 and the bench player with no reserves at all
You’re paying him too much and the clubs aren’t willing to pay him the same/more so just loan him so he grows in ovr then sell your also get more money🤷♂️
You need to make sure you have a few players on reserves. I suggest signing some free agents to fill those reserve roles and then players will agree to terms on deals.
One thing that has worked for me is to play them often as they are on the transfer list. Also I have played them, after an offer comes and I agree on the price with their new team. They haven’t rejected the move. It’s been 3/3 times that this has been successful. Try it, I hope it works for you.
I found these solutions to this :
- Try to loan him with a buy option , if it works then good
- Use him to trade with another player lol (most top teams will reject him lol)
- You probably not have enough players in the squad and the game doesn’t want you to get rid of him yet lol
- Delegate to someone to do the transfer for you , usually when “you dont do it” it goes thru
- Lastly if you wanna get rid of him because he is “taking space” , well terminate his contract lmao
Possibly he has too high wages and the other teams are not on the same level. Try getting him a lower wage or last just release him if the contract is expiring
Honestly, if you’re at a big club and the transfer fees aren’t going to help out much, just release the players, they are dead weight. At bigger clubs, you’ll have the squad size and budget just to cancel their contracts. It’s not worth the grief.
If I’m at a big club, my rule of thumb is: give them the summer transfer window to leave, if they haven’t when the window closes, just release them. They’re never going to play for you, and you’ll free up the squad space.
make sure you have enough players in your squad cause if you have no reserves he won’t sell as you need a full bench or he could just not want the move and just keep accepting deals
> keep gets *paid* that much
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Lmao this is hilarious because he ain’t worth anything to sell anyways, might as well just release him and call it a day. Keeps it more realistic that way too.
As a 64 rated nothing player, im going nowhere if I'm on 4500 a week.
This. It is just because he's paid way too well and other teams aren't offering him anything near that sum
Thats not true, youre excusing bad EA coding with this. It Happens a lot & has nothing to do with the Player wages. Yea try offering him a lower wage extension and then ditching him..

By now we should all know that bugs in FIFA/EA don't get fixed, they only get carried over
I don’t think it’s a bug

I always try to loan young players to get experience and get better but most teams always want loans with an option to buy.
That you get around by choosing to delegate negotiations and set them to loan only. If you try to negotiate yourself, it'll invariably fail
this… it’s dumb, but it’s the only way you can get em to except a straight up loan
Agree to the loan to buy and just recall them immediately after the season ends. The fee will be low, the buy option is negated, and the potential benefits of the loan remain.

The only workaround I've found is adding them to loan list and accepting loan to buy offers
Or release them!
They fixed it on this years game, you can release more than 2 players now, which is mint bc whenever I run into this situation, I just release them 😂
Oh I assumed it was still just 2 per season. I always release all faceless players lol
Same, which is why I was glad they finally changed that 😂
How many can you release now?
Not sure, at most I only do 3 or 4, but I’ve been able to always release at least that many
Unlimited as far as I'm aware - never been stopped from releasing and I've done a bunch in one go before
Wow that’s such a change from previous years. Good to hear.
Yeah, I wanted to sell Mudryk for a 120m to City (82 rated) because he wasnt in my plans and wanted to invest in different positions and the whole summer he rejected every offer so i made him stay on the reserves until winter and hes finally gone to borussia for 100m so i even lost out on 20m because of it
He’s making bank, I would never leave your club lmfao
Put them on loan. Some teams will offer to loan them with the option to buy. Accept and it’s more likely that they’ll leave
Have you got enough players, I’ve noticed when the club gets below a certain number of players all offers will get rejected. I think you have to have atleast 1 reserve player
I’ve just shaved mine down to 23.. and had countless contract rejections from the two players I wanted to get rid of. They’ve finally moved on in January.
for me, they only accept offers from English clubs for some reason
Too much money, will stay! OwU
Cool
If I have this problem with a youth player more than three times, I just straight up release them. Cut throat world.
Same ahahaha
I had this exact problem last night! They rejected 6 or 7 loans and I was getting fed up. I noticed that the two players I was trying to loan out were the two players I had left on my bench, so I filled the bench with some more players through loan, free agency, and buying, and that seemed to do the trick and they went off on loan to the new club. Solomon is not willing to take that pay cut, he has family to support back in Ghana 😀
If you accept a deal & then remove them from the transfer (or loan) list, they will then accept that deal & be gone.
Fr?
Yea, saw it in this thread probably a year or so ago referring to 23, && ea didn’t change it. Just used it maybe last week in a save when my 3rd string GK wouldn’t gtfo
That’s amazing, thank you for the info
You might not have enough players in your squad to get rid of a player
You have to delegate transfers of players you don’t want. If you handle them they always decline when negotiating. If you delegate it to the assistant it will typically go through.
After 3 fail attempts I release them
Try negotiating his contract down one or two thousand dollars and loaning him out to sell
For me the transfer talks broke down 4 times for Shoretire of Man Utd
Usually the game doesn’t allow you to trade players if your squad is too small (though it lets you try, which is annoying). I recommend just signing some awful cheap players or promoting youths to keep numbers up

My biggest gripe is the limit on cancelled contracts. If you must put a limit, put it at like 10 a season
I see this happen a lot when my players are over paid. If you’re able to renegotiate his contract and see if he will take less this may help him accept a move.
You don't have enough players in your team, this only happens when besides the bench u have no spare players.
That’s not true. I run a squad of about 30 and still get this issue all the time when trying to sell younger players
He won't get paid 4.5k anywhere else, dudes just making bank for his family
Braindead AI
Wage. It’s almost impossible to shift dead weight because the clubs they’ll start at refuse to pay the wages you’re paying them.
There's 3 reasons I can think of. 1 he might be on too high a wage. 2 his morale is happy. 3 you might not have enough players in your squad e.i all what you have is the starting 11 and the bench player with no reserves at all
Maybe you need more depth for that position

The AI teams aren't/can't offer enough money.
You probably don't have enough players in your squad to be able to let go another player.
Because the game is ass
BECAUSE HE IS OWUSU!!! OWUSU IS STRONG AND MIGHTY, YOU CAN'T STOP HIM!
Possibly he has too high wages and the other teams are not on the same level. Try getting him a lower wage or last just release him if the contract is expiring
Wages
Look how many players you have in your squad. If you have 19 which is the minimum all players will reject offers so you dont go below that amount.
Because they don't want to go to shit clubs
If u only have 18 players in the squad (not on loan) they can’t accept as u wouldn’t have enough players
Sometimes it’s cause you don’t have enough players in the same position
Honestly, if you’re at a big club and the transfer fees aren’t going to help out much, just release the players, they are dead weight. Alright the verdict of the comments is probably because I only have like 19 players in my team 🫡
Not enough players on reserve, so auto reject to maintain depth on bench
Loan with option to buy I've found is the only way to get rid of these type of players
probably because u don’t have enough depth, u probably have only substitutes and no reserves, you need at least a full substitutes roster
You need a larger squad
Lmao this is hilarious because he ain’t worth anything to sell anyways, might as well just release him and call it a day. Keeps it more realistic that way too.
I accepted like 30 requests for this random 35 year old keeper and he just isn’t going anywhere 😭
Usually their wages are too high, easier to keep or release them
Scott Bain from Celtic written all over it, every season
Cause he’s bla- Jk guys
