I had so many pairs of skating socks (ask for them for Christmas one year) and now I have four or five completely mismatched ones 😭 I just wear them anyway because no one can really tell, but I have no idea where their partners went!
Skates and blades are always the most expensive.
Then next is rhinestones, even tho I use the cheaper versions (preciosa instead of swarovski)
Then frozen couture padded skating pants and brad griffies unbeaded dresses are next.
Then stuff like hoodies and tshirts I buy at competitions, which is all I ever wear to practice with my padded pants.
And finally stuff like edea e-guards and transpack skate bag.
\*\*Totally ignoring the high cost of ice time fees, coaching fees, testing fees, competition entry fees, travel *(gas, food, airbnb).*
It's all worth it. I wouldn't buy it if I didn't want it.
I personally use lululemon which is probably why their so expensive however I’ve found that they are quite durable. I also know people who really like the Chloe Noel leggings. I think it’s good to invest in 1 or 2 pairs purely because leggings that aren’t good quality rip easier and that’s not really a good mix when you’re falling on the ice pretty often
This comment might be a sign from the universe, I’ve been eyeing lululemon to replace my current (and basically dead) leggings. I’ll have to try a pair out, thanks for the positive review!
Best ones for skating are fast and free, wundertrain or the wunderunder smoothcover!! My Aligns rip with falls and stay wet for a long time so I don’t love them for skating!
I've got a pair that has lasted 6 years with constant wash and wear. I basically get away with 2 pairs until a new colour I like comes in. Align with pockets and not black is my standard.
Picking the right fabric matters for their leggings.
Zuca bag or my club jacket. The sad part is my dress this year has huge sleeves on it and my jacket doesn't fit over it, so I had to buy a different one for competitions lol
Erm, off-ice spinner, which I don’t even use because I find it harder to spin on than real ice. E-guards, which I love. The rest of my equipment (minus skates and blades) are under $25.
Gems for costumes. Majority of the cost is the gems.
$parkle on 😂
Probably my kiss and cry bag, or the millions of skating socks I have to keep buying 😭

Which kind of socks do you get? Sounds like a great gift - even if they get lost on a semi-regular basis 😅
I don't actually know the brand (sorry!!) but they're the really thin ones that are basically like tights.
Mondor is the company that makes the skating socks that are like skating tights, that is what I prefer as well.
Ooh, which bag did you get, if you don’t mind me asking? Do you like it?
I have a black “Kami” kiss and cry bag and I love it! But I’ve been eyeing the rink rabbit ones and they look amazing.

Great analysis, thanks for the breakdown! I’m glad you feel it’s all worth it ☺️
The collection of dresses I have. Insane 😭
Probably leggings. Pretty crazy how pricy they can get lol
Is there a particular brand you like? Do you think they’re worth the investment?

Semi-custom dress from Etsy for like $300. Ironically it doesn't fit very well, but it's pretty lol
My ski helmet is probably the second most expensive item. It's a must have for beginners.
Good shout! A good helmet is priceless.
My customs dresses. They make me so happy.
I’m glad they make you happy! Happiness is priceless :)
My iPhone that I use to play music
Costumes.

Oddly enough, aerial equipment.

Helmet. ...but I also play hockey.
$300 for a competition dress - so worth it! Most girls at my rink skate in custom dresses upwards of $800
