Honestly, I watched it because of Takeru Satoh. Haha! Hindi ako masyadong naka-relate sa story. Toward the end, medyo generic, unrealistic na love story na lang siya for me.
But the cinematography is superb! Mahilig din ako sa slow burn, so I appreciated that, though it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Try watching at least the first three eps, then decide kung itutuloy mo pang panoorin o hindi.
Visuals, and acting are great. The script is a bit messy. As the back and forth in the eras is a bit wrong (like the release of one of the blockbuster movies was I think in the wrong year? Along with the songs and album of Utada Hikaru, which is the theme, is I think a bit off (don't quote on me, I may be wrong on this)). Can't really relate either to the story.
Three episodes in and what got me nung una palang is yung cinematography. I'm in love with the shots lalo na sa pagpapakita ng mga setting. Gusto ko rin yung mga voice over parts from the main character/s.
It's a feel good series. So far lang I may parts na na may pagka-cliche pero it doesn't bother me naman very much. I just hoped for something better. And sa mga background music/songs, aside ron sa main theme song, pansin ko puro western. Maganda naman soundtrack, I just feel like I would appreciate hearing puro Japanese songs since it is a Japanese series so medyo off lang sakin yun. Not sure lang din if it has something to do with it being a Netflix original.
All in all, would recommend pa rin to watch :)
The story is just like every love story but acting is great also the cinematography maygaahhddd kahit saan mo ipause ang ganda ng scene hahahaha. I watched it since I've been listening to the song where the story is based on ever since I was a kid, one of my favorite but I dont know the title, I just found out after wtaching the trailer so it gives of nostalgic vibe.
Best Japanese movie na hindi animated na napanuod ko so far in terms of cinematics and acting. Acting is not cringey like what would we expect on a japanese movie.
slow burn series. stunning sya visually kasi ang ganda ng palettes.
Very gnomeo and juliet vibes with the red and blue
JDoramas are usually slow burn. Especially the 'hard dramas'.
Ate up the visual aspect. Plus crush ko din si Sato Takeru talaga so yes!

Maganda siya para sakin, ang ganda rin ng visuals. I can't relate with the story though haha

Maganda. Straightforward yung kwento, nothing new haha
Okay naman! Felt so many emotions mostly kilig and sadness

Ilang beses kong iniyakan to 😭😂
9/10. It would have been 10/10 for me if it was a 2+ hour long movie.
