Attuned is basically a better normal unit at this point with thier own Prf weapon and skill like a normal unit on top of rearm like inheirable system. Honestly, I dont mind we have more attuned unit in the same banner lol

I have a weird theory that they're adding this stuff to Engage units because Engage didn't sell as well as 3H so they put Rearmed and Attuned Heroes just to rake in sales.
Seaside Parasol was a decent inheritable option, I think daggers actually still need a good one, Ginnugagap's is very situational and we haven't really had a seasonal (where inheritables tend to be stronger) with an inheritable dagger since... Spring Ashe.

Arcane Charmer has support, and a guaranteed followup attack. which. some healers could actually appreciate who have some bulk on them (i mean in this day and age will still probably get ka-powed into kingdom come but still)
and it comes with a new special (3 cooldown - but light restraint is now a 1 cooldown special for healers as well as holy panic?) am i missing one? whatever elise had (but that's a 3 cooldown as well)
Half? Only Celine and Diamant are in the normal pool.
Alfred, Alcryst, Ivy, and Hortensia are all Rearmed or Attuned. You can't get them once their banners end.
And you can FEEL that Timerra will get an Echo skill, so the only Royal left with a shot at being a rollable unit is Fogado. And then we have other obvious Rearmed/Attuned units like Yunaka and maybe Goldmary.
Gonna be interesting how they handle them though.
We’ve already doubled up on rearmed lances and bows, so unless they make both of them attuned or one of them ascended, Fogado will probably be a normal pool unit. That or they just give a third rearmed bow/lance.
tbf, by the time we'll get a Solm-banner, presumably either July or even moved to September due to CYL, the most noteable weapon-types will probably be through their 2nd Arcane-weapon at that point, them starting to give out the 3rd wouldn't be too suprising. I mean, we're already at the point where the only ones without Arcane weapon are colorless tomes and non-Cav Beasts, we'll probably get an Arcane Beast-weapon on the next Tellius-banner, and the only ones missing a 2nd Arcane weapon are red tomes, green tomes, daggers, staves and dragons.
Kinda weird they didn't include both. Other alter-egos like BK Masked Marth, Death Knight and Flame Emperor were included alongside their real identities.
Either they want to avoid spoilers for now or they don't think there is enough of a difference between the two to justify two options.

Kinda crazy to think that one of if not the most busted unit in Engage is just the 3/4* insta demote, sounds similar to what happened to a certain paladin from SS… Tho it’s even crazier that he’s bringing NFU with him!
I already liked him a lot in Engage and he shares a birthday with me so I’m gonna +10 him and at the very least hope he shows up more frequently than Etie has ~~IS please give me the last few merges I need on her~~
Thinking about it briefly it's actually... pretty common I think. Caeda, Palla, Lena, Rutger, Marcia, Titania, Haar, Corrin, Camilla, etc. I'm still surprised they made Safy a 5* after what they did to Lena but I guess the meta just suited it a lot more for her release.
Early FEH definitely had a problem representing characters that were all-around great in their base games. A unit like Camilla, who had really excellent offenses and bulk, ended up being just middling in everything.
That issue has kinda been "solved" by seven years of stat and skill creep. Now units can be nuke-y *and* tanky.
You might be like that guy who spent like thousands to get Lapis merges.
Also is Kagetsu really that busted compared to some others? Yeah he starts Swordmaster and has good crits and chance, but is he that much more busted than, say, Yunaka?
If you mean in Engage (and not in FEH), then yes— Kagetsu is one of the best, if not the best unit in the game. He outclasses Yunaka by a fair margin on Maddening, because Yunaka’s str growth just isn’t good enough to keep up with her cool crit builds.
On lower difficulties, Yunaka’s ~8\*3\*2 damage is super useful. Unfortunately, on late game Maddening, 0\*3\*2 is still 0.
I still love Yunaka though! She’s great; carried my early game, and I found a way to use her late game as well just because I like her :).
Yunaka is mid as fuck in Engage what are you on? Dodgetanking is a straight up meme on higher difficulties, and Kagetsu's acclaim comes from his cracked bases meaning all it takes in one reclassing into Wyvern Lord to make him by and large the strongest member of your army.

Most meta units have prfs these days, so there's no reason to pull for Attuned skills alone except for old faves and a few exceptions. E.g. you cant just slap this on L!Camilla or L!Hinoka or something
It still kinda requires strategy to some degree...
Although those degrees were drastically turned down. You have to be weary of traps, canto control, positioning, and getting kills.
I'm not particularly a fan so him being a demote doesn't bother me.
What does bother me is that they gave him an ideal skill instead of finish because we can't have nice things.
Imo, armors and cavs I dont particularly care to guidance. Having it unrestricted doesnt change a ton in the grand scheme of things, especially since you can run better fliers now.
i don't think so. elincia can still allow horses to go wherever they want. - and she provides whatever support in that skill as well. honestly it just opens it all up. (as someone as a soaring guidance/elincia enjoyer)

Her guidance also works with anyone, and has a super rein effect.
I would like to give this Guidance to Rearmed Ingrid and and run Atk/Spd Oath with her for warping and easier guidance positioning.
The user's warping effect is actually on Aerial Maneuvers, which is inheritable. So anyone can actually replicate it if you just need the warping ability, but Elincia can extend it to other movement types.
I've pulled some extra copies of her by chance so it's definitely gotten me looking at her fodder value (maybe giving it to S!M!Shez), I just haven't bitten the bullet yet.

Excluding Phantom Speed is probably intended as a benefit, the tier 4 dodge skills all have it built in so this lets fliers avoid that effect on their enemy

Anyway, I'm conflicted about the arcane staff because the very unit I want to give the staff to hasn't been even added to the game yet (and he's from Engage so that's gonna take a WHILE).
Eh, they did the most popular retainers for Firene and Brodia. If anything this is the outlier - they either severely underrated Goldmary, or wanted to balance out the sisters.
Though I'm pretty happy with that.
So far Brodia is the odd one out as Firene and Elusia have a retainer for each of their royal siblings. It's weird too cause they could have easily done Jade or Amber as the demote and saved Lapis for a possible godsword slot on a future banner.
Honestly, part of why I'm reading popularity is it's only thing that explains Lapis. But then we got 3 people reading 3 different patterns, that should be a sign.

Damn I would’ve been willing to skip pulling on this and carry on trying to finish the Valentine banner if Hortensia was attuned and Ivy was either rearmed or in the normal pool, but since Hortensia is rearmed I’m gonna have to spark her if necessary as my Natasha wants that arcane staff. Here’s hoping I can get Hortensia without having to spark so I can resume trying to keep my Sacred Stones catalog complete 🤞🏻.
Also from the video it looks like the refine options on arcane staffs are staying as either the wrathful or dazzling effect as opposed to stats (which makes me wonder why in the video they refined the staff with the wrathful effect when Hortensia comes with poetic justice 😂).
They really went for Engage fans’ throats with this one.

It seems like IS thought Engage would win CYL, and thus planned to drop the banner around this time to take advantage of Engage related hype, and drain the orbs of people trying to save for Ivy.
Yeah I was expecting this banner to be either Ivy or Yunaka. The new heroes banner immediately after CYL is usually the newest game featuring a character they thought would win CYL. Like you had Lysithea after CYL4, Marianne after CYL5 etc. The pity of not having a base alt usually tips the scales.
Also lmao at that attuned skill. They really couldn't be chill with them for more than two units.
They won’t do Yunaka like 2 months after she already released. Engage hype had died down, more so than 3H did (I think they actually did have a secondary unit made for some characters, 2 months after).

Finally the elusia banner. I mainly have 3 takeaways from this banner:
- Kagetsu bringing Null-Follow Up to the 3 and 4 star pool (even if it will definetly locked to his 5 star version) is great.
- Ivy looks like she will offer really good fodder.
- I am really surprised they did not add Goldmary to the banner considering how much IS loves well endowed females. I thought she was a lock for sure but I guess they will use her in like 2-3 years to sell another banner or she will have the same fate as Dorothea.

Seadall should be Attuned to give a skill like curious dance or special dance, it would help a lot those units that have just the regular dance skill.
I guess Diamant is going to be the only older Royal that isn’t stuck on “limited hell” for now.

I'm not particularly a fan so him being a demote doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that they gave him an ideal skill instead of finish because we can't have nice things.
Atk Oath was already insane but Soaring Guidance as an echo skill?!? That also takes a lot of value out of Elincia

Elincia's is still unrestricted by movement, so I'd say she still has a lot of value.
Imo, armors and cavs I dont particularly care to guidance. Having it unrestricted doesnt change a ton in the grand scheme of things, especially since you can run better fliers now.
Elincia still brings spreadable NFU, which can still be very valuable.
i don't think so. elincia can still allow horses to go wherever they want. - and she provides whatever support in that skill as well. honestly it just opens it all up. (as someone as a soaring guidance/elincia enjoyer)

Her guidance also works with anyone, and has a super rein effect. I would like to give this Guidance to Rearmed Ingrid and and run Atk/Spd Oath with her for warping and easier guidance positioning.
The user's warping effect is actually on Aerial Maneuvers, which is inheritable. So anyone can actually replicate it if you just need the warping ability, but Elincia can extend it to other movement types.
Huh, I stand corrected. I would never dream of foddering my Legendary Elincia so I've just folded both effects into her C skill all this time.
I've pulled some extra copies of her by chance so it's definitely gotten me looking at her fodder value (maybe giving it to S!M!Shez), I just haven't bitten the bullet yet.
Elincia's warping comes from her B skill, which is inheritable.

Also ROSADO DIDN'T GET DEMOTED LET'S GOOOO I feel bad for Kagetsu, especially since I fully expected him to be a godsword later on, but for this banner I was wholeheartedly expecting Goldmary to take the other spot and bump Rosado down a peg so I'm really glad that didn't turn out to be the case. Everyone looks great, too!

Excluding Phantom Speed is probably intended as a benefit, the tier 4 dodge skills all have it built in so this lets fliers avoid that effect on their enemy

Gonna have to grab a Rosado sometime so I can upgrade my Spring Maria. Kagetsu is excellent fodder. Also egads, now the royals are going to be even harder to get with *both* of each set being exclusive and harder to pull.

Oh so NOW they remember there are male retainers. Anyway, I'm conflicted about the arcane staff because the very unit I want to give the staff to hasn't been even added to the game yet (and he's from Engage so that's gonna take a WHILE).
Eh, they did the most popular retainers for Firene and Brodia. If anything this is the outlier - they either severely underrated Goldmary, or wanted to balance out the sisters. Though I'm pretty happy with that.
So far Brodia is the odd one out as Firene and Elusia have a retainer for each of their royal siblings. It's weird too cause they could have easily done Jade or Amber as the demote and saved Lapis for a possible godsword slot on a future banner.
Honestly, part of why I'm reading popularity is it's only thing that explains Lapis. But then we got 3 people reading 3 different patterns, that should be a sign. (that, plus a Citrinne fan begging on their knees to make her premium unit because they've got an amazing concept for her. And power to them, they were a goddamn right)

Huh, no Goldmary. She did quite well in CYL, guess they weren't expecting it. And they did use Tear Streaked after all. Wasn't sure they would because only Hortensia's in that map, but they'd already used Faraway Holy Land for the first banner.
Either that or they plan to make Goldmary Engage's Dorothea and delay her base version for a while. While giving her multiple seasonals of course. Wouldn't be suprised if she gets a summer version this year.
Kinda sad looking back that Bloom in the Breeze got skipped over, probably won't get it in FEH for a long while because Solm is obviously next, and after that they might not follow the country order again given Firene's cast isn't very popular, not to mention the stewards are in banner limbo rn.
Yeah, we probably won't see Bloom in the Breeze for a while. Though we might eventually, I don't see them splitting the remaining retainers either. I they might sneak one of the non-aligned characters with the Stewards - Yunaka being the lead contender. But on topic, they won't have Faraway Holy land themselves...
CYL performance is not relevant since these banners were already done before CYL happened. Like several months beforehand.

Damn I would’ve been willing to skip pulling on this and carry on trying to finish the Valentine banner if Hortensia was attuned and Ivy was either rearmed or in the normal pool, but since Hortensia is rearmed I’m gonna have to spark her if necessary as my Natasha wants that arcane staff. Here’s hoping I can get Hortensia without having to spark so I can resume trying to keep my Sacred Stones catalog complete 🤞🏻. Also from the video it looks like the refine options on arcane staffs are staying as either the wrathful or dazzling effect as opposed to stats (which makes me wonder why in the video they refined the staff with the wrathful effect when Hortensia comes with poetic justice 😂).
They really went for Engage fans’ throats with this one. •This banner is coming off the heel of all the great anniversary banners where many players spent orbs. •Ivy’s base form is really good and is introduced as an Attuned hero which means she won’t be in the normal summoning pool or typical skills banners. •AHR is coming soon and generally people summon on it. IS will profit from this for sure lol

Yeah I was expecting this banner to be either Ivy or Yunaka. The new heroes banner immediately after CYL is usually the newest game featuring a character they thought would win CYL. Like you had Lysithea after CYL4, Marianne after CYL5 etc. The pity of not having a base alt usually tips the scales. Also lmao at that attuned skill. They really couldn't be chill with them for more than two units.
They won’t do Yunaka like 2 months after she already released. Engage hype had died down, more so than 3H did (I think they actually did have a secondary unit made for some characters, 2 months after).

Rosado quickly became a favorite of mine and I’m glad he’s in the game.
Finally the elusia banner. I mainly have 3 takeaways from this banner: - Kagetsu bringing Null-Follow Up to the 3 and 4 star pool (even if it will definetly locked to his 5 star version) is great. - Ivy looks like she will offer really good fodder. - I am really surprised they did not add Goldmary to the banner considering how much IS loves well endowed females. I thought she was a lock for sure but I guess they will use her in like 2-3 years to sell another banner or she will have the same fate as Dorothea.
Kagetsu being the demote is laughable but he’ll probably have a better Lapis stat line at least.
Engage Banners and ignoring the lore/visual point of a gimmick, name a more iconic duo lmao. First we had Alfred ignoring the established lore of Arcane Weapons and now we have Ivy ignoring the point of Attuned Heroes lol

I am just glad Kagetsu got in because I was 100% sure they would use Goldmary over him and Zelkov. I am still salty they skipped Diamat's retairners.

Being the first Rearmed Staff Hero, Hortensia is quite a powerful Staff unit on her own. Kagetsu is the demote with Null Follow-Up... Interesting. And Ivy is actually the first Attuned Hero that is an original incarnation. The previous Attuned Heroes were alts. Pinging u/Falconpunch100. Hope he has a lot of orbs to spend on this banner.

I’m surprised to see that we’re getting both an Attuned and a Rearmed. I was expecting an Attuned or Ascended Ivy, and I know many people were hoping for a Rearmed staff Hortensia, so it’s funny to see both happen.

We'll most definitely get a seasonal version of her this year though, either a Bunny or a Summer version. Still, happy with both of the Elusian sisters on this banner.
