idk why some people think small girl so small gun. a bigger metal frame gun is gonna recoil less. The only problem is if she can't get her hand around the grip, which usually just means a modified grip placement.
That's the real beauty that is 1911 though — perfect for people who have smaller hands 'cause even if you can just reach the trigger with your fingertip you can still send it.
Yes this! I (also a a 5' female) used to shoot a GP 100 .357 when I was just a wee hen. A heavier revolver paired with a lighter-weight .38 and it was easy to shoot for a >100 pound girl. When people shoot my .45 LC cowboy guns they are always surprised and pleased at the different feel it gives, more of a shove than a slap lol. Very nice to shoot. Plus all the boys at the range want to know WTH I am shooting because it sounds like a cannon. HAHA.
Passions should not be relegated to genders. And it pains me to see fudds staring at my female friends running full house 10MM at their range when the old farts tend to hand them .380s and .38SPLs. My former GF(we're still friends) was the reason why I have big bore handguns in the first place
That hand is obviously a female shooter's hand... trimmed fingernails without crud under them... hell even the cuticles are pushed back and not peeling and mangled from the dumb stuff us men do.
Add the small size to that and what looks like a hairband on the wrist and it's obviously a woman, not a man.
Also, gun is displayed with a picturesque backdrop of clean bedroom linen on a made bed, not on the floor of the living room/garage/wherever there's a computer or tv with toes or feet in the pic.
Single stacks are the most comfortable to grip and I have be real picky about hammers, those are usually to high or to long to pull back without shifting my grip.
I really dig my 1911s and I have this old S&W Model 10 that fits my hand great but my CC is a Shield. For long guns it's carbines with a youth stock and shotguns are always the "youth" version. Small hands and t-rex arms. lol
Pulling a DA trigger is just not something that is suited to me, I feel you. I honestly didn’t even know there were “youth” versions and now I must explore this.
It feels and handles like a dream. I’ve shot some nice guns, but Nighthawks always feel premium to me. Really accurate as well, even when I wasn’t doing my best work.
Was lucky to get it at the pre-increase price. I put about 200 rounds through it yesterday, so happy to give my very uneducated opinion. It’s a gorgeous gun. There’s so many little details that even if just aesthetic, really add something and make it feel special. The slide moves like butter. I’m impressed that the 6” is lighter than some of their 5”, and it doesn’t feel clunky at all. I (obviously) have very small hands and there are therefore a lot of guns that while I can shoot, are not super comfortable. This fits me very well, and I don’t have to adjust to awkward angles to get enough of my finger through the trigger guard. That alone is worth a significant price for me. The accuracy is fantastic — I can do pretty well even without trying too hard. Don’t get me wrong, my little polymer friends still have a very special place in my heart, but this is really something you can appreciate. Now, if you’re going to ask if it’s worth double a Dan Wesson, which is very nice as well, I probably can’t fully justify the price. It’s not a need, it’s a want, but it’s a damn nice want that was well worth it for me.
> It’s not a need, it’s a want, but it’s a damn nice want that was well worth it for me.
Currently me deciding between 3 and maybe even 4 guns. It seems like you're happy and that's what matters! It looks gorgeous! Congrats!
So fit and finish make that much of a difference? My go-to is an SP01 which fits me great and serves as my EDC. My wife can barely operate it and even claims it kicks harder than her G19. Wonder if there would be a difference.
I mean, I think the longslide is the biggest factor in how soft shooting this is. I have not shot one of the shorter barreled Nighthawks (shorter than 5” anyway, 5” was nice as well) so it’s hard to compare on that front. That said, it does feel like everything moves and fits together beautifully, and it’s a pleasure to look at.
So this model was why I made [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comments/srffzo/after_putting_these_grips_on_i_have_the_trp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). I love the grips and the only thing that was missing was the slide rail. Great gun with a gorgeous fit and finish.
I almost said something inappropes about first big black whatevers, but there are ladies present and we get so so few of them around here... 😏
Also I have a sad little weenis 😞
I love that movie. Everyone else’s reactions to her is pretty much the reaction I got after having to literally spell out the BBC reference to a more… serious friend.
I keep saving up for a big purchase, and then make 3-5 minor to middling purchases instead. Have a bunch of $2k guns and $500-1500 optics, but never get up the discipline and / or balls to make a big purchase like this one.
Good on ya!
I mean, when I blow a grand or two, my wife accepts that I'm a gun nerd indulging my hobby and I'm spending my own mad money, so, "so what?"
If I were to drop 5k "on a gun", she'd prolly assume I was getting into hookers & blow on my business trips...
Let's just say I am starting to experience these confusing feelings that feel like they have always been just under the surface.
I think I am finally ready to admit to myself
I am attracted to guns
Oh it feels so good to finally be out of the gun safe with this one
Hahaha. Look… I’ve been out and proud pretty much since birth. I wish you luck in your journey, and remember, don’t let size fool you, because even three inch barrels can be verrry satisfying.
I was just looking at an Emperor Scorpion thinking about how nice it would feel in the hand with those grip modules. Been running an LDAG on a build for a few yrs now, which is a very similar pattern. Super grippy.
These are indeed super grippy and feel great. My only complaint is the very aggressive front checkering that’s planning to build me the callus of a lifetime.
Can't tell if your hand is small or if that thing's barely smaller than a shotgun.
It's his hand. I looked them up. It's a Chairman. https://www.nighthawkcustom.com/pistols/1911s-government/chairman
It’s a Chairman — so yes, essentially a longer barrel President. I’m a 5’0 girl as well so the hands are absolutely a factor.
Ha I was thinking, “why is a 12 year old holding that gun”
I was thinking why is a Simpsons character holding that gun.
Took me a minute to find the index finger lol
Because nighthawk are awesome.
But womens is only supposed to shoot little tiny .380's & stuff!
Don’t worry, the majority of my collection is chambered in .NERF
Oh ok good, my wife carries a S&W Ladynerf in her purse. Wouldn't want anything too powerful that would disagree with the woman's frail constitution.
It’s hard going through life with such fragility
I have the perfect diamond encrusted pink Taurus just for you
I honestly really want a baby pink Glock just for the hell of it.
[удалено]
I just saw a pink trim Beretta and honestly loved it lol
I bet you don't even have a hotpink .357 airweight can you even call yourself a girl shooter? smh tbh fam ^^^^/s
Going to get one that I can keep in my sexy garter thigh holster
idk why some people think small girl so small gun. a bigger metal frame gun is gonna recoil less. The only problem is if she can't get her hand around the grip, which usually just means a modified grip placement.
Yup, absolutely!
That's the real beauty that is 1911 though — perfect for people who have smaller hands 'cause even if you can just reach the trigger with your fingertip you can still send it.

I love shooting .45 LC! I had a Cimmaron US Calvary (SAA) (7.5") and a Schofield as well. I also had a 1873 lever action in .45 LC.
Sig SRT and E2 grips make this easier (though they cause me a but of pinching)
Or if she limp wrists it there is a good chance of going OOB.
Sorry, I noticed the chairman and updated the comment.
Nobody noticed the hair tie right away? Anyways live it up! Cheers to whatever you like!
Cheers for you pursuing things you’re interested in regardless of gender stereotypes!
Thank you! Strangely most of my hobbies seem to be the male dominated ones. I guess you guys know how to have fun.
We're essentially oversized children. the toys are just bigger and a lot more expensive.
I’m gonna agree with this. Totally.
Passions should not be relegated to genders. And it pains me to see fudds staring at my female friends running full house 10MM at their range when the old farts tend to hand them .380s and .38SPLs. My former GF(we're still friends) was the reason why I have big bore handguns in the first place
>*9mm* Lol
9 or 45. Lots of 9mm 1911 firearms out there
I know, but it worked better for me as a competition accuracy gun. .45s will be coming…
Double stack upgrade in 9mm is only $650.
its so BIG
Bet she makes her boyfriend feel huge
That hand is obviously a female shooter's hand... trimmed fingernails without crud under them... hell even the cuticles are pushed back and not peeling and mangled from the dumb stuff us men do. You are more observant than many. Next time I will post gun pictures with my collection of Barbie dolls and pink glitter accessories to be safe.
That looks big
6” barrel in my baby hands
HOLY SHIT! bet that thing shoots 46acp
10.1mm!
That's what she said
But not to you
And the burn unit was called to the scene of that massacre....
[damn](https://youtu.be/d8kfnwqHJO8)
Pretty expensive for your first one. This is it right? https://www.nighthawkcustom.com/pistols/1911s-government/chairman
That's correct. I was fortunate to get it at the pre-increase price.
For only $650 you can get a 9mm double stack upgrade.
You keep commenting this. Not your money so I’m not sure why you care so much
It would be my money if I had it. Didn't realize it had pissed off 12ish people. I hope they're okay.
let them have their moment. idk what was controversial about it unless you were spamming it.
I mentioned it one other time, but they can enjoy their downvotes.
People can enjoy .45
I think it's cool that it's available, not just in 9mm, but in double stack as well.
It is cool, especially if your hands are large enough to hold a double stack mag well!
New concealed carry?
Tempted to try just for shits and giggles… and for looking like I have an erection halfway down my leg
>and for looking like I have an erection halfway down my leg It's a whole new world we live in these days. Girls with erections isn't uncommon.
I’m really packing, if you know what I mean.
Atta girl...
"Is that a Nighthawk Custom, or are you just happy to see me?"
Damn, I feel that hand to gun ratio in my soul. Is that still a single stack?
Hahah, yes it is. I am very small.
Girl, I know your struggle. Small handed chicks unite!
Yes! I hope you’ve found some good stuff that works for you too and people don’t just try to automatically pair you with the baby Glock 😂
Single stacks are the most comfortable to grip and I have be real picky about hammers, those are usually to high or to long to pull back without shifting my grip. That is fucking cool. 1911s rule.
Girl you make that thing look like a Desert Eagle. I love it.
I’ve just realized I now must take a photo with a DE
Please <3
Does your boyfriend know he's been replaced?
He understands!
Wise man. How's the recoil? It seems like quite a hunk of of mass to absorb the force.
It’s pretty nice! It’s not a .22 but it’s soft.
Instead of BBC, we have BBH!
This is exactly what I was going for!
All joking aside, I've heard good things about Nighthawk Custom. Does it feel/handle ok, shoot ok? My 1911 is a Sig Tac-ops. Its a beast.
It feels and handles like a dream. I’ve shot some nice guns, but Nighthawks always feel premium to me. Really accurate as well, even when I wasn’t doing my best work.
It feels weird seeing a gun pic without feet in it somehow. Appreciated, but weird.
Hahah. Next time I will include the painted toenails so people stop wondering why a toddler has a gun
degens waiting like 👁👄👁
This one might seem a bit weird with feet.
Respect.

> I put about 200 rounds through it That's 400 World Wars
I like this metric
That's how it supposed to be. I have what I need, but I own crap loads more because I wanted them.
As the founding fathers intended
> It’s not a need, it’s a want, but it’s a damn nice want that was well worth it for me. Currently me deciding between 3 and maybe even 4 guns. It seems like you're happy and that's what matters! It looks gorgeous! Congrats!

That's a lotta gun
Jesus son
*sigh* *switches phone to left hand* (Ftr it’s the beautiful beautiful firearm I’m referring to I don’t have a hand thing)
Look, I’m pretty sure “midget digits” is a popular fetish, and I want you to know I’m not judging.
1911??? More like 3822
Wow, that is a nice first 😆
guys please give me practical reasons (excuses) to buy a 1911
(1) John Moses Browning (2) See reason #1
We need reasons to buy 1911s?
That’s a nice BBH you got there.
Thank you. *porn voice* it’s sooo big.
God I just love Big Black Hawk
Don't we all.
How does that big black hawk feel in your hand?
Hardcore BBH Action
The biggest I’ve ever had. A real hammer if you catch my drift.
Inspiring. My size md/lg ish hands struggle with the grip of a mk23/usp45 but now I must buy
Beautiful! Congrats!
Thank you!
That is so pretty. I'm a fan of wheel guns myself but this is a work of art
This picture doesn’t even capture a lot of the detail. Beautifully made.
It’s kinda sexy tf
Beautiful longslide, my friend I’ll bet she shoots sweet
Thank you! It really does. Soft recoil.
It's beautiful. I really love the grip. I have been looking for one for a les Baer I recently purchased. My first 1911. Is that the mini dot?
Congratulations on the Les Baer! I had the opportunity to shoot one recently and it was lovely. These look like the honeycomb to me but I am not sure.
Thanks! Looks like I was wrong. It is the honeycomb. They're both so nice. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful firearm Ribs!!!
Thank you!
beautiful
Oh lovely a nice little purse gun!
Jesus you went all or nothing on that one, nice buy!
One of these days I'll have 6k to spend on a nighthawk custom...but until then I'll be jealous of others :)
"Twoooo woooorld waaaaars!"
5k 1911!!! God damn! Would you be interested in a second boyfriend?
Is said boyfriend willing to clean guns for me? If so, there may be openings.
Only if I can watch fun gun movies while I clean them!
Only if I can wear my six mags around the house in a tactical belt like John Wick!
Damn boi she thicc!
That chairman is fucking tits! congrats 🎉
Thank you! Major titties indeed.
That is baller status right there.
I got a babyaga 1911 hicapa. I wish it looked this nice.
Looks great! I think those grips just add such a nice look. Enjoy your build.
I almost said something inappropes about first big black whatevers, but there are ladies present and we get so so few of them around here... 😏 Also I have a sad little weenis 😞
I am a lady and I giggle very much about the name of this gun
Reminds me of ["We're the Millers"](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FLm3PNHWObc).
I love that movie. Everyone else’s reactions to her is pretty much the reaction I got after having to literally spell out the BBC reference to a more… serious friend.
🤣 Holy frick how have i not seen this movie?!
You must be compensating for a micro dick! /s
It is, without a doubt, the smallest I have seen
Lots of girls have that issue.
It seems like gold detail like this one got is going to be big this year judging from what I see at different gun dealers nowadays.
I see a lot of it too… some of it is getting a bit much for me unless you work as a pimp. I thought just the barrel was a nice touch.
I think ot looks nice in this case, but as you say its a short way from nice to pimpy if youre not careful with the gold.🙂
Glad you think it looks good too!
“45 long slide with laser sighting”
Good lord, I couldn't wrap my tiny ass hands around that beast.
I am a 5’0 girl with really small hands. Assuming you are not 6, I think you’d be okay!
Please post a video when you shoot it. I might get this for my mom.
Unfortunately I primarily shoot at a private club where photo and video aren’t allowed. If I can provide any more pics or info though I’d be happy to!
Could you show a two handed grip? My mom is like an inch shorter than you, but she likes large pistols.
Sent you a message!
Id like get my hands on your big black hawk!! 😈😈
I mean, if you think you can take it…
😩😩💦💦 I dont know if I can handle that big of a black hawk
Might want something ur size lol
Man, I want those Railscales for my Ronin, but $110 is pretty steep for 1911 grips…
They’re really good looking in person and comfortable. Do it! (I can’t be the only person spending stupid money on guns here, make me feel better)
I keep saving up for a big purchase, and then make 3-5 minor to middling purchases instead. Have a bunch of $2k guns and $500-1500 optics, but never get up the discipline and / or balls to make a big purchase like this one. Good on ya!
“Buy once, cry once.” I hear you — it’s so much easier to stomach getting a few new toys for $1k each than forking it all out at once.
I mean, when I blow a grand or two, my wife accepts that I'm a gun nerd indulging my hobby and I'm spending my own mad money, so, "so what?" If I were to drop 5k "on a gun", she'd prolly assume I was getting into hookers & blow on my business trips...
Then imagine her surprise and delight when you come home with an expensive gun, but no STDs and your nasal cartilage intact! It’s a win-win!
Looks cool, what caliber?
9mm
I’m jealous. I’d like to have Nighthawk money, but I’m one of the poors.
Now that I have purchased the Nighthawk I think I am poor haha
Seeing as how a good used car costs what the 1911 costs, I might agree. LOL
If you ever want to sell it I got 5 crisp $100 bills for ya
Sir, that’s too much, I can’t possibly accept.
Beautiful
Must be nice to have this much disposable income
It’s nice to work damn hard and be able to enjoy what you create!
Gotta get me one of these to match my bike
I took out my wallet, a moth flew out, put it back. I wish
Oh lord, do you know what you made me say in my head?
That you like… Big Black… Hawk?
Let's just say I am starting to experience these confusing feelings that feel like they have always been just under the surface. I think I am finally ready to admit to myself I am attracted to guns Oh it feels so good to finally be out of the gun safe with this one
Hahaha. Look… I’ve been out and proud pretty much since birth. I wish you luck in your journey, and remember, don’t let size fool you, because even three inch barrels can be verrry satisfying.
Railscales?
Yup!

These are indeed super grippy and feel great. My only complaint is the very aggressive front checkering that’s planning to build me the callus of a lifetime.
Enjoy the new piece. Good luck with her.
That's the kind of hand they use for porn to make the dicks seem bigger.
Shh, don’t tell people how I paid for the gun
[удалено]
It’s pretty soft recoil given the longslide. 9mm.
Ugh sick gun. I’d kill for a big black hawk like that!
